I am doing a final update to clarify. I do feel bad as I truly believe the owner was genuinely concerned when he heard about what had gone wrong and would have taken swift action to respond if given the opportunity. He has been nothing but pleasant and conciliatory so if things do go wrong (as they always do in moving) do give them a chance to make it right! First, they showed up an hour late. Having stayed up most of the night packing up my apt I could have used that extra hour of sleep. Excuse was that the guys had returned very late from working a job in upstate NY. So...the company only has 3 guys to do back-to-back jobs? The move itself from one 2BR apt to another ~4 miles away took about 8 hours (we have a lot of stuff) and cost just under $1000. The movers cracked a $1000 Apple monitor, damaged mirrors, broke several dishes in kitchen boxes marked Fragile, and totally destroyed a laser printer! The mover was actually cradling the printer in his arms and managed to get the cord stuck in the elevator door. He told us the reimbursement would come out of his meager pay for the day and so my kind husband ate the cost of a new printer. This company might be better for college grads with only a futon and few items, not recommended for an established family with treasured belongings that expect a certain level of care! FOLLOW UP: To be fair, I must emphasize that the owner was very responsive and professional in setting up the move, and had he been aware of the issues we experienced on the day of the move he may have tried to provide some accommodation. As it was, we were exhausted after a long day of moving, didnt discover much of the damage till the movers left and we unpacked, and were too busy with life to pursue this any further at the time. We just paid (and tipped generously) and went on with life thinking there was nothing to be done at that point. However the owner has been genuinely concerned after reading about our experience and expressed that he would have appreciated the opportunity to intervene.

A2B Moving provided loading labor for our move from Arlington VA to TX. These guys were simply outstanding from beginning to closing the truck in VA. I spoke with Glen a number of times before the move to make sure I had things ready for a smooth load. He answered all my questions and helped me get ready. He is extremely customer service oriented; very professional and courteous. His folks showed up a little early. They loaded our entire house into two 26 foot moving trucks. His guys were extremely polite and hard workers. They took great care of our furniture and loaded the trucks very efficiently. We had virtually no damage to any furniture during a 1400 mile move. The team lead was very knowledgeable and professional. I asked him for a few things regarding special antiques and he went above and beyond to take care of what I requested. This was a stressful move and A2B made it as smooth on their end as could possibly be expected. Sometimes you never know who is going to show up for a move, but I tell…I strongly recommend A2B. I have had many moves in the military and these guys were the best Ive seen. The best thing I can say, is that you can trust them. They have my highest recommendation for your move. Good luck.

A2B deserves more than 5 stars! The company is local, dependable and professional: our move (and weve had a lot of moving experience bouncing from New York to San Francisco to New York to Washington). One thing that we appreciated: the company communicates with its customers, does precisely what it says, and then goes way beyond the call of duty to make certain every aspect of the move is handled carefully. The team that moved us was efficient, careful and infinitely courteous. And the price? Quite within budget and money very, very well-spent. Wed almost consider moving again, and if we do (probably we will) we will not hesitate to call the team at A2B. Along with the 6th or 7th star, Id expand their alphabet and dub them A2Z, since theyre completely thorough. And to A2B: thank you - best move ever.

This was my first time hiring a moving company, so a colleague of mine recommended A2B Moving and Delivery to move my concert grand piano. I was told that A2B Moving and Delivery provided excellent service, especially with moving pianos, so I decided to contact them. Though I was nervous, the crew arrived on time, with all the essential equipment and padding to move my piano and was unbelievably polite and careful. I was especially concerned because my new house had just been painted and had put new hard wood and tile flooring in where the piano was to go, but A2B Moving and Delivery understood and did exactly what a piano moving company should do. I recommend them to anyone who needs their expensive pianos and/or furniture moved to look into A2B Moving and Delivery.

This company is great! Ive moved many times in my life on both coasts of the U.S. and this is one of the best movers Ive worked with. We recently used them for a local move (Mclean to Fairfax). They treated our stuff with care, nothing was broken or damaged, they were punctual, professional, and efficient. When booking they are very transparent with costs, what is included in your move, etc. Their customer service is on point and they replied quickly when I emailed in any questions prior to my move day. I would highly recommend them for any type of move.

Moved a piano for me - the movers bumped the door frame on the way in and scratched up the front of the piano in two spots by accident. Glen was very apologetic and went far out of his way to make up for it by having someone come and touch up the entire piano (not just the two spots that were damaged), and by having someone tune the piano as well. Despite the fact that it was a small transaction, Glens professional attitude and desire to make things right impressed me. I would recommend this company and I would use them again in the future.

Excellence, excellence, excellence. My move with the help of this company was one of my best ever. Those were the most polite young guys I have ever met. They were very hard working and a joy to be around. I am definitely going to recommend your company to everyone I hear even mention the word "move". Although I am on a very tight budget, which is why I definitely had to be sure I got a flat rate, I had to tip your guys. My only regret is that I didnt have more to give them b/c they certainly deserved it. Thanks so very much. -- Nadine Y.

Moving is very stressful and upsetting as it feels like everything is turned upside down. My wife and I are very pleased and happy we chose a local moving company like A2B Moving and Delivery. They were on time, very professional and polite. They were very careful, very conscientious of padding the furniture, covering the carpet, and very easy to work with. I really love supporting a local company as they are native to this area. And the price was very reasonable too. I would recommend them to anyone moving in the Mid-Atlantic area.
