DO NOT PAY FOR THE UNPACKING SERVICE, YOU MAY GET THE VERY AGGRESSIVE PERSON THAT ACTED AS IF HE WAS GOING TO ATTACK US!! To start this off, Drew Richards came to visit me and although JK was a little more expensive than the other 2 I spoke with, but Drew seemed more informative. Everything leading up to the move was great, good communication and updates. The ladies that came to pack us where kind and had consideration for our belongings. The guys that packed up the truck were quick. The negative side is the delivery and unpacking. We didnt have a lot of furniture because this house was getting mostly new. The only truly big piece was my king size mattress. The movers didnt wanna move it upstairs unless I signed a waiver that negates my insurance that you pay extra for, about 600. They wanted to bend it in half, I didnt wanna sign, so they said that they would just leave it here....in the middle of my living room! I had to call Drew, which stated, thats not a reasonable move, so I needed to sign the waiver or move it myself... this information all came to me, after I paid. I finally called the manufacturer and they said it could be bent and if something happened they would work with me to repair or replace. This is not the worst moment. The "unpacking" service that I paid 700 additional for was the equivalent of dumping my boxes on the floor! Nothing was placed neatly, organized, or in the right rooms. I have pictures if anyone would like to see this. Please message me here with your email and Ill provide a few. When my wife and I confronted the unpacking team the Forman was apologetic, but the guy who unpacked my kitchen and completely covered my 25 feet of counter space and left a 450 dollar mixer in the sink, I think his name was Kroger, was aggressive and was raising his voice to my wife. I asked him to step back, then he did it again and I asked him to leave the room. That lasted for about 2 minutes when he came and was approaching my wife, I stopped him and looked at the forman and in an aggressive voice told him to get him out of my house. He told him to wait in the truck and he went down stairs. 5 minutes later we were completing the contract and he came back in. At this time the Forman apologized again and rushed out. After this all happened I emailed Drew and Shirley Perrotta, my move coordinator, and neither replied!

Their motto is What Matters Most. In reality all they care about is lousy service and dishonest business practices. We used JK to move last month. We discussed with our sales rep the things we could do to keep the price down since they were higher than the competition. I staged what he asked me to so the movers could efficiently move us. After a long day with dinged furniture, scraped walls and a dent in the floor, they presented an invoice for more than 30% over their quote. Needless to say, we were shocked. But that was just the beginning of our terrible experience. Our sales rep called to try and negotiate down. No rhyme or reason other than they wanted to milk our wallets. Then came the GM, Tom. He explained that they sometimes are a little off on the quote due to not understanding the extent of the move (They did a site visit to quote me), or perhaps some crews are better than others (translation - some employees are better than others and we pay for their poor hiring) He finally came back with the final offer. 10% over the quoted price. I dug in my heels at this point and told him I was not comfortable with that. What was the next step? Tom alluded the next step was JK suing me. Nice. I admit it worked. I gave in and paid rather than deal with the hassle. I got hosed, but you don’t have to. Stay away from these sleaze merchants

After 14 moves in the military, this was one of the best moves weve ever experienced. The crew was professional, efficient and friendly. Everything went off without a hitch despite having a lot of fragile, irreplaceable possessions. The gals that wrapped our art work did an amazing job protecting our art work and pictures. Took me 10 minutes per picture to unwrap all the protective wrapping. Time well spent not to have them damaged. Had some charging issues, but the folks in the back office got them cleared in a jiffy. Highly recommend.

Moved my 90-year-old mother-in-law from Maryland to an assisted living facility in Virginia. The move was as smooth as silk! Movers showed up on time and were speedy & efficient yet careful with all her belongings. And to boot, the final cost was less than originally quoted. Very, very pleased!
