I do not write a lot of reviews but felt compelled to do so in this case. A Few Good Men Moving & Storage is truly a five star company that anyone needing moving and storage services should feel comfortable in contacting for help. This was our second experience with them and we thought of A Few Good Men immediately after a wonderful first experience. My wife and I needed help that involved picking up items in Silver Spring, dropping them off in Rockville at two locations and then picking up items in Warrenton, VA and bringing them to Silver Spring. The first step in the process involved contacting Emily to discuss our needs, devise a plan, price it out and nail down specifics for the move date. Emily provided truly outstanding service and follow up every step of the way (including after the move to ask how it went). She, from my years of experience, is the kind of person any company would want representing them with customers and managing details of, sometimes, complex moves. Emily is extremely engaging, maintains a positive, "can do" attitude and makes it very evident that she truly cares about about her customers, the company and the movers. I discussed our needs with Emily and she helped map out a strategy to take care of the various pick ups and drops off at multiple locations in one day. She was thoughtful and detailed enough to consider rush hour traffic and its impact on timing and the drivers. The move date was set for Monday, March 6th at 9:00 am. Emily contacted me prior to the move date to check in and assure me that everything was fine on their end. The movers called me to alert me that they were on the way and arrived a few minutes early. The movers, Sergio and Alex, were professional, efficient and really hard workers. Given the complexity of multiple pick ups and drop offs in three locations, a lot of coordination and contact was required. Sergio kept in touch with me throughout the process from the road to let me know how things were going. I really appreciated his diligence and follow up. Moreover, he and and Alex took great care with everything they moved to ensure that the items were appropriately wrapped and placed on the truck to avoid damage. In total, the entire move consumed 11 hours and their attitude at the end was as friendly and positive as at the beginning of the day. In summary, I cannot recommend this company enough. A Few Good Men Moving & Storage is a smaller and growing local company that has served us extremely well twice. I unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone with moving & storage needs, large or small, that want a quality service at a competitive price coupled with five star customer service.

Just finished a move with a friend, the guys who came out were fast friendly and professional, but the management was just awful. After chamging the date of the move on us the day before, sent the guys out later than they told us to expect, and then tried to charge extra for moving during rush hour. When it was more to move than management had told the guys, they said management was tellimg them they couldnt finish. After agreeing to pay an additional amount we got most of the big stuff on the truck. Then when they got to the new place we were told we needed to sign a damage waiver and pay in full before management would allow us to take the furniture off the truck. This is extortion and completely illegal. Also this is not a military company even though all thier advertisement claims they are. Dont be fooled. This company is owned by thieves! Response to owner response: I have asked you to call me with no response. I was present for many of the conversations... to say that my experience was false is part of the petty confrontation we experienced throughout. And to provide the personal information you posted in your response about people that are not you or I is unprofessional please remove it!

Worst moving experience I have ever had! My consult I was given a quote for 12 hours with a 26 ft truck without materials. My final cost was what the quote was for 12 hrs and it only took 6 1/2 to complete. For 7 boxes and a box of tape it cost over $200, I packed everything else! They had a fee that was never discussed in the consult and the worst part is my move didnt fit in their truck! So I have to finish the move myself! They assured me after only a phone consult, no in person estimate, that it will all fit in the 26ft truck... Theyre the professionals so you assume they know what they are talking about. The driver and his helpers did a great job, my only complaint with the driver is that he tried haggling on materials costs and flat out asked for a tip of "5-10% or whatever I thought was fair!" I budgeted for what was quoted the company never mentioned a tip was customary. If they had, I would have budgeted for it. They did their workers a huge disservice! Avoid if at all possible. My two conversations with the manager, Bryan, were very unpleasant and there was never an offer to try to make the situation right, other than I can send another truck out but it will cost you.

Thank you to A Few Good Men Moving for helping us with a complicated and last minute move! My husband and I recently relocated from Washington, D.C. to Durham, North Carolina, and the entire team at AFGMM was incredible from start to finish. From the very beginning, Thomas helped to manage, schedule, and organize our move with responsiveness, professionalism, and patience. With the multiple twists and turns we threw at his team, Thomas continued to see the process through and looked out for our best interest in budget and time. The gentleman responsible for the physical move (Jacob, Eli, Mario, and Walter) worked tirelessly, even when our masses of stuff seemed to be unending! They never complained, always had a smile, and took wonderful care of our belongings. It was wonderful working with this entire team of dedicated individuals, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for assistance in their next move. Thank you again!

These guys were amazing. I requested a fixed price move to avoid any moving day cost surprises. Thomas was very helpful and reassuring in our conversations pre-move. Carlos and his team were very communicative - they called to say they were on their way so Id know when to expect them. They plastic wrapped everything to protect it and took great care. Move out day was 50 degrees. Move in day was 9 degrees and snowing. This did not slow them at all. They carried pieces of furniture up 2 flights on their backs and took time to protect the floors from snow and salt. Everything arrived safely except for some reason, the last item that went into the truck which was a white kitchen garbage can that didnt arrive on the other end. They took emptied boxes and plastic wrap to the trash on the way out. Worth every penny. Thanks guys!

Had to move my daughter from campus to near her new job locally. Called several movers but Thomas Hsieh at AFGMM&S just seem to fit right. Scheduling was easy over the phone, the two movers came on time, introduced themselves, took a quick look at what needed to be done, then got on with it. The two men were simply terrific, two of the nicest people you would like to meet. There were no problems issues, or concerns with the packing, transportation or unloading. Could not have been smoother, and everyone was very impressed, job done. The price for the move was also fair, with no hidden cost, or charges. After the move I called the main office to thank everyone. It was a wonderful experience, and I certainly would whole-heartedly recommend AFGMM&S
