Have you been scammed, over charged, hustled, charged for work not done, or flat out lied to by other shops? Then give Howard Motors a try. Ive been coming here since about 1997. Ive never had a negative experience with these guys. Not one. Heres my most recent experience. I decided to give the Goodyear shop on Monticello Ave. a try because of their more convenient location. I needed three new tires. I picked out the tires on their website and made an online appointment. The total cost was $386, which included installation and taxes. When I arrived at the appointed time my job was pulled up and I went over it with the man at the front desk. Everything seemed to be in order. It was a pretty simple job: two new tires on the front and one on the right rear. He printed out the work order and handed it to me to sign. When I looked it over I was stunned -- the total came to $686! I asked him, "What is all this?" He looked me in the eye and without batting an eyelid he said in an innocent tone, "Oh, this is for 4 new tires. Ill change it." When he made as if to change it I also noticed a $90 charge for something called road assurance which I had not agreed to and another $80 for a service package I hadnt signed up for. That explained the extra $300. Thats when I felt my blood pressure rising. I looked at the guy and said, "Im not playing this game with you." And then I walked out. After that I made a call to Howard and made arrangements for three new Hercules tires. I didnt know anything about this brand, but the mechanic assured me they were good tires. Okay, I said, lets go for it. I also told him to add an oil change, too. I dropped my car off and four hours later it was ready. The total for everything came to $345. Later that week we were on the road to Pittsburgh and encountered torrential rainstorms along the way. They were the near white-out, blinding kind. Traffic was doing 45 mph on I-81. The tires performed perfectly the whole way. I was very impressed by how well they gripped the road and took the slick curves and hills.

Absolutely amazing experience. I was in town visiting family, had just drove 2,000 miles with my 09 Subaru when I had some lights come on and troubles with my oil. I run an auto shop back home so I have never had to be on the other side of the counter, so taking my vehicle anywhere I was nervous to 1)get ripped off and 2) not have good helpservice. I couldnt have picked a better place to go! Jeff was absolutely wonderful! Got me in the next day, checked everything out, was very personable, and I save hundreds by not going to the dealership. Honest workers, great little Ma and Pa shop! Jeff is running a great buisness and I HIGHLY recommend anyone to bring their vehicles to them whether it is all your vehicle needs or just passing through town like I was and want honest, affordable, help. Its hard finding an auto shop you can trust, but you can count on this one! Thanks again Jeff!! :)

My car has been overheating and I have not been able to figure out what has been causing the problems. I took my car to Howards, mainly because of the reviews on Google, to see what could be the problem. All the issues with the car were pointing to a head gasket issue which equals big money. Howards was unable to determine what was causing the overheating. They recommended a place that focused on engines called Eagle Eye (check my review on them, its a good one) down the street. Howards had the opportunity to take me to the cleaners but they chose to act very professionally. I definitely recommend their service.

We were staying in the area on vacation and our car started dying and we needed tires. I called and somehow by the grace of God they worked us in. They found that a hose had a hole, which was causing it to die, replaced our tires and an alignment. Price was great and service was phenomenal. We found this place and read all the comments and we were not disappointed. There is a reason they have been rated with 5 out of 5 stars and THATS why we walked 6 miles back to our resort after dropping it off and 6 miles back to pick our car up, repaired and ready to head back home. So my daughters van broke down while visiting Williamsburg, where we DO NOT live. As with any traveler she was frustrated but not as much as I realizing I would have to find a trustworthy mechanic. Thank God for Howard Motor Corp. They were great to work with and we havent had any problems with the repair. A specific thanks to Josh. He was great and very patient working with the auto dealer to find the right part. Highly recommend this group to any traveler or if you live near by.

Great shop! My wife and I were out of town visiting Williamsburg. Vehicle broke down. The tow company (ASAP Towing) recommended Howard Motors. Red was able to work us in and get us back on the road enabling us to finish our vacation. They also explained to us what exactly was wrong with our vehicle, made recommendations, and even printed out pictures to give us a better idea of what might be the cause for our engine problems. Highly recommend these guys!

Redd did a great job with my car. Did exactly what he needed to do to get it fixed and didnt try to suck me into getting a billion of other things done to it. Everyone there was really helpful and respectful. My car was fixed quickly and was not only cheaper than the estimate he gave me but over $100 cheaper than anywhere else in Williamsburg. Will definitely be taking my car back there any time I need repairs.

Ive been going to Howards for the past 8 years or so and to say Im pleased is putting it mildly. Ive never taken my car to a place where they didnt find SOMETHING wrong, whether it needed it or not. This is not so with Howards - they seem to realize that if you treat your customers right, they will come back. So, as long as they are around, Ill be taking our vehicles there. They are awesome!

Good, honest people. They ended up not being able to help out (charged me $0 for looking at my Explorer), but they lead me to the better of the 2 local Ford dealers... One guy even gave me his card and said "If you think the dealer is throwing out an outrageous price, give me a call, and I will let you know if it is reasonable." Give this guy a raise!

Top notch. Really honest. Reliable. Reasonable. Very friendly. The best service repeated from year to year. Saved me several thousand dollars in unneeded repairs 4 years ago on two different vehicles when I was first referred to them. Highly recommend these guys!!! Unbelievable these days, but true. Thank you for your integrity.

I live in Williamsburg, and after reading some posts and reviews I went to Howard Motor with my ML320 . I have no words for the professionalism and good work this place its all about!!!
