2 stars is being generous. My first visit to Pete was 3 years ago. They did a vehicle inspection for me and that went smooth. Recently, I have had some work that needed to get done on my Jeep that I couldnt do myself. Replacing the exhaust manifold gasket took them 4 days... 3 days of my vehicle waiting in their crowded parking lot since they couldnt get the mechanic that "works on my vehicle" to come to work. Not sure why they couldnt have someone else look at it but my family of 6 was down to 1 vehicle while they took their time. On top of that, the work was done sloppy... 3 weeks later one of the bolts that holds the manifold in place was gone and the other had worked its way almost all the way out. had to take it back to their shop... they admitted the bolts werent torqued down properly but fixed it. Next, when my power steering pump failed, I had them do the work. 3 months later, the pressure line had come loose and I found myself back at the shop with the same problem. They "dont know how that happened", tightened things back up, "topped off" the fluid and told me the new noise it developed would go away. Noise is still there a day later, I check the fluid level and it wasnt even close. I topped it off and that fixed it.... its this impressive lack of attention to detail that causes me to lean towards a 1 star rating. People need a mechanic they can trust to get the job done right the first time and in an expediant manner. Ive given them several attempts, really hoping that Pete would be my guy, but now Ive concluded Impact Auto is just not that shop. They are nice people and mean well, but they have caused me more trouble and money than I can handle. Ive moved on to what looks like a much more promising mom and pop auto shop nearby.

Owner Pete Pappas, daughter Marley (what a cutie), and their team of mechanics were great!! Was referred to Impact by TireRack as a preferred vendor for the tires I purchased. They not only did a great job on the tires and alignment, but also identified as a mechanical problem what we had thought to be tire noise, and referred me to the dealer since the car is still under warranty. No, its not fancy place, but the atmosphere was homey. I observed several customers that morning, all of whom had been doing business there for many years and were called by their first names. I wonder why "missy" couldnt/didnt describe the specific nature of her problems...

10 Star, hands down to the best repair service and respectable business Ive dealt with in quite awhile. Thank you!!!! I had my 2006 VW Bug in for repairs and left very satisfied. Pete Papas found the problem. Thank goodness. Marle impressed me with her mechanic knowledge and attentiveness to details. Im now a regular customers. Hope Palmer

Marlee, Pete and their crew have done an amazing job on ALL of my cars over the years including my BMW M3s (one was a track car), Audi TT and our new Infiniti. They always give you a good idea of what needs to be done, a good estimate and then top-quality service! I recommend Impact to all of my friends!!!

I cant begin to tell you how awful these ppl are. These other reveiws had to be f them, no way anything good comes out of them. Dont go!!!! Why didnt i see the signs? Right next to an auto parts store and all the broken cars on the lot. duh me, Ive learned, never going ton a hole in the wall again.

The only place in Williamsburg that I let work on my H1 hummer. Pete knows his stuff and always finds a way to get the job done. Malcolm is one of the best mechanics in the area. Highly recommend.

Highly recommended mechanics. The owner (Pete) and staff do care for people. This kind of care is hard to get if you go to a generic chain place. I have used this place for almost 10 years now.
