Long story short, avoid at all costs. For the long story, see below: Weve been taking our car here for a while so it was more of a habit than anything actually good about the shop (though there wasnt anything bad either). I took my car in for its 30k mile checkup which apparently they took as "just wants it looked over" as per my receipt, which cost me $30 and they "found" nothing and all of my tires rated a "7" on treadwear (despite being told at 24k miles that they were all "3"s and needed to be replaced, at 24k miles on a brand new car, really?!?) so I guess my dealer sold me tires that regenerate tread over the past 6k miles. Now I bring it in for an oil change at 38k miles and they start throwing all of these things at me that "were due at 30k" when I BROUGHT IT IN FOR A 30K CHECK-UP AND YOU SAID NOTHING BUT WERE FINE CHARGING ME. I declined all of it and just paid for my $40 oil change. I picked up my car and dropped off my wifes car for her oil change, we were told theyd call us when it was ready. We were under the assumption they closed at 7 p.m. on Saturdays (its 6 p.m. and that was our fault for not noticing) so when we didnt receive any call I assumed they were just busy and wed swing by and pick it up at 6:30 only to find it locked and everyone gone, my wifes car INSIDE the garage so we couldnt even pick it up and charge the card they have on file. Called the next morning and was put on hold for 10 minutes without being attended to (I watched this same habit when I dropped my car off and another patron was put on hold until they just hung up). Called back again and they said it was ready. NO call the day before and still NO call the next day, maybe they were planning on keeping it if I didnt inquire. When we get there we find out ANOTHER patron had the same issue, he was physically waiting outside for his oil change to be ready only to have the mechanic lock his car in the garage and leave for the night, with him stuck in the parking lot. I understand people make mistakes and they "sent the girl who calls" home early on Saturday, but she was there Sunday to call us first thing that our car was ready. Worst of all, NOT ONE HINT OF AN APOLOGY. The explanation was "the girl went home" but not "Im sorry youve had to come up here multiple times" "Im sorry we locked your car up and you couldnt access it over night" "Im sorry we didnt even call you the next day when the girl was here". Just "pay me and get out". Judging by the other reviews everyone has similar experiences and this is just ridiculous. I cannot recommend strongly enough to find another mechanic as there are a dozen within a few minutes drive, its well worth it vs. an 18 hour oil change (oh, that still cost $35 w/ a coupon, $50 without). P.S. - if anyone knows a good mechanic please let me know as I am in need of one.

After 25+ years of having our four vehicles serviced at this store, they will no longer be servicing our vehicles. All the service people who you could rely on for your service are no longer there. For the past year or two, there has been a different person at the front desk as well as different technicians. After requesting an oil change, alignment, and the rotation and balancing of my tires before going on a road trip, I find out that the rotation and balance were not listed on my original paper work and was told by the District Manager that they must not have heard me. So much for assuming that what you asked to be done was on the paper that you sign when you leave your vehicle for service. I even looked over the inspection sheet they give you when you get your vehicle back, and there was no indication that anything else needed to be done before going on the road. This does not sit well after hearing grinding sounds coming from my front wheel mid-way through my trip at midnight. I took my vehicle to the Tires Plus (which is owned by Firestone) at my destination, and had to have new brake pads, 1 new rotor, and 1 rotor which needed to be turned. When I inquired at the Tires Plus that I took my vehicle to for service at my destination as to why this was not detected at the Timonium store when they took the tires off to rotate and balance, the paperwork was pulled up on the work they had done, and I was told they never did the rotating and balancing of my tires. They only did the oil change and alignment. We do not drive this vehicle every day, and it is basically our "travel" vehicle. When another of our vehicles was taken in for service, grease was left on the drivers seat and floor. We were told to have it cleaned, and they would pay for the detailing, which they did. However, this should never have happened, and was additional time and inconvenience on our part to have the detailing done. While the District Manager thinks bringing in new people once again will help turn this store around as it is in a nice community, that fact is that once you can’t trust that your vehicle is being serviced correctly, and you worry about not if something is going to go wrong with your vehicle, but when, your customers will take their vehicles to a repair shop they can depend on.

IF YOU ARE A WOMEN- DONT EVEN BOTHER WALKING THROUGH THE DOOR... cause they will rip you off and then make you feel bad for even questioning them. I went there to have my catalytic converter replaced and the man at the counter gave me a hard time when I asked how much the part will be and finally when he called me back he gave me two price options so I told them to go ahead with the cheaper part. Low and behold I get a call back and guess what... that part just went up in price $200 and the labor when from one hour to two hours!! But that isnt even the worse of it, I get another phone call and "Im sorry but we have bad news... when we took off your converter the connecting parts were so bad they basically fell apart, so we need to replace everything" so that was an additional $800 not even including labor. What the hell did these mechanics do?? Just hit stuff with hammers until it breaks? So low and behold grand total $2444. Oh and the best part is my check engine light came back on the next day. So I took it back figuring they would re-check it for free.. nope. They charged me $100 to run the diagnostic again and guess what.. it turns out to be something completely different that didnt show up on the diagnostic yesterday!! How convenient for them. But dont worry they were more than happy to fix it for me for another $150, and that included the "we just raped your wallet yesterday" discount. So, if you want to drop a couple grand on repairs, I would highly recommend taking your vehicle to the DEALER, at least they would have washed my car afterwards. Oh and the waiting room seats are so disgusting it looks like people have peed on them.
