This is a review of the Service Department. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT CARS. THEY WILL MAKE UP CHARGES. I gave them 2 stars because the service writers lied. I called them out for their BS and they eventually took it off the bill. The quality of the mechanical work was ok. I brought my 2001 Jeep Cherokee to American Pride Automotive because of a leak in the left rear brake line. I received a call from them quoting me $660 after taxes. When I picked up my car the bill was $730. I asked why the bill was $70 more than the quote and, that was when the lies started. The first lie was that they forgot to add on a $99 charge. How does a $99 charge equal $70? It was actually because they added on a $59.99 "Four wheel brake inspection" and broke two lug nuts @ $8.12 each (with a 10% military discount it roughly equals $70). BTW $60 to check brake pads/shoes so you can try to upsell me brakes is ridiculous. I cant believe that you charge that much for taking tires off the car. BEWARE if they are charging you for this and you are getting your tires rotated THEY ARE DOUBLE CHARGING YOU. The second lie was that they had to remove the left rear tire to ensure that the leak wasnt coming from inside the drum and, when they put the tire back on two of the lug nuts couldnt go back on the tire and they had to replace them. The leak was clearly coming from the line, not from the drum area. I asked why the tire had to come off and was told that it needed to be removed to replace the line. To replace the brake line you do not need to remove the tire because the brake line runs along the frame, NOT the tire. The third lie was about the lug nuts they replaced. I was told that the lug nuts were replaced on the right rear tire and, because it was two lug nuts on one tire they had to replace them. The facts are that they did not actually replace them on the left rear tire, they replaced one on each front wheel. I got the brake inspection and lug nuts taken off the bill but because I was lied to I will never go back there and I will not recommend them to anyone I know.

Excellent service and quality. I live in San Francisco, CA. When I moved here from the Hampton Roads area I left my car which had engine issues. I was told by other mechanics that I had a head gasket issue, and they recommended that I go to American Pride. Id seen the sign for the place a few times when driving down George Washington Hwy. Struggling with having to coordinate flying back to the east coast to get my car repaired I began searching for plane tickets and scheduling time off. In the process I called American Pride to schedule and appointment. I explained my issue and was connected with Kevin. Having not seen my car or diagnosed the issue fully he gave me a range of options for having my car repaired. Once I decided on the best route for me I explained to him about me flying in to get this done. To my surprise he told me that I didnt have to be there he would coordinate things with me via email and phone. He had my car towed in his shop and the repairs began immediately. Once they were able to fully decipher what was wrong Kevin informed me of the good news, he was able to beat his initial quote of $2000. The full repair time took less than 2 days despite me adding some additional work to for my rotors. All in all that has got to be the best experience that I have had with a automotive repair agency. Top notch work with quality guys!

Do Not give your money to these Crooks! LEMONS FOR SALE HERE! Purchased a used 08 Toyota Highlander from American Pride and traded in my previous car. I was given a 3,000 miles or 3 month warranty. I had the car for about 50 days and the car over heated after just 3,500 miles. Took the car in for service at an extremely reliable mechanic in the area. Each mechanic at this shop assured me that this car had many previous problems, included many missing bolts, a gauge in the oil pan, unhooked and missing vacuum lines and etc. I picked the shop after assuming it to be reputable from having their own shop and mechanics. I was beyond wrong, the shop ignored me and acted like that every problem with car was my fault now. I was also run up and down the road several times to get me license plate from them. The car blew up on me days after Christmas during a very crucial time in my life. I missed out on many events and had to spend hundreds on rental cars to attend important events. I went to American Pride with a great car and traded it in, I left American Pride with a huge burden that ended up costing me in upwards of $6,000. Ive been stranded for months with no transport, relationships with family and friends suffered, and continuing my college education has been almost impossible. All of this after American Pride sold me a LEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have always had great experiences with this establishment. I always take our cars here for repair and their prices are fair and they do not take advantage of us. My wife particularly enjoys the experience talking with the repair staff because they do not talk down to her and they explain what they have done. She also likes the fact that she can get a ride back home if the repair is going to take a while. We had a disaster today in that *both* cars needed repairs so we had to bring them in without an appointment. We were treated very well and they did the best they could to accommodate us right away. I also like American Prides policy of contributing repairs to those in need as a community service (I dislike the term "giving back" because they did not "take" anything). This is a great business and it is truly a pleasure to be a customer. Oh, and by the way, they have free wi-fi in the lobby. The same lobby that lacks a TV so you can sit quietly and read and not be subjected to daytime television (ugh). Thanks for what you do, American Pride.

I am one of many who do the majority of car shopping and research online before going anywhere to look in person. I have come across the car that I wanted with no price or pictures so I called. Turns out the car was brand new and was just going in to the shop. I asked for a follow up phone call when price was determined and just a couple hours later received that call. I was speaking to Roman who was very kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and did not lead me on or give me false information. We worked out an agreement I was pleased with. The next day I drove an hour to get to American Pride Auto in Williamsburg not knowing if I would want the car since I had not seen pictures. I was blown away by the staff, quality, care, and attention to detail that poured our of this place. Needless to say I was impressed and bought the car. I would recommend this dealership to anybody looking for a car. Take it from somebody who did not want to fall prey to crooked deals and false advertisement and check out this honest to goodness fantastic dealership.
