These people are crooks. They are the bad mechanics your parents you about. We brought our vehicle in due to lack of power and a recent diagnosis said the issue was fuel injectors. We said we needed it in 3 weeks for a planned vacation. They said it was not the injectors but it just needed a tune up. $2400 later they said it was fixed. We noticed later that a new ignition system was on the bill - we did not approve or discuss it. We drove 1 block before returning after paying stating it was still under-powered. They then claimed it needed an exhaust system and took it to a muffler shoppe. Still no dice - no further cost estimates were provided. It was not ready for the vacation. We asked for a call and estimate - no call was made. Still not fixed and a week later, we said we wanted the vehicle back and they said it was $2100 more, and said it needed to be paid in cashiers check and refused to take a credit card because I said I was taking it up with Attorney General. These are all listed as scams on the texas attorney general website and they committed each one! 1. commencing repair work on your car without first getting your authorization to perform the repair work, and then charging you for repair work that you did not authorize, 2. starting repair work on your car before obtaining authorization from you, then charging you for it. 3. representing that repair services will be completed by a certain day in order to induce the sale, then failing to have the repair services completed by that day. 4. failing to notify you and secure your additional approval, in writing, for any additional work to be done that was not set forth in the original written agreement. 5. representing or advertising that the shop will accept consumer credit cards or personal or business checks as payment for goods and services, and then refusing to accept credit cards or checks.

War End is right. Dont believe the BBB rating for Hi-Line Auto Electric. There is a skewed rating system for accredited businesses and isnt based on actual customer ratings. I was a customer for four years, and ultimately, I shouldn’t have trusted the owner. The final set of visits there to diagnose and repair an engine misfire problem left me with $2500 worth of transmission repairs and replacement of ignition wires and spark plugs, and no change in the misfire problem. I continued taking my car back there, asking them to fix the problem they misdiagnosed. The third visit they told me they were pretty sure the problem was with the drive-by-wire system, but not entirely sure. They sent me home with my car running no better than when I was there the first time. I took my car to a couple other shops to have the misfire problem diagnosed. I showed the owner the results from the other shops, plus evidence of them charging me for parts that dont fit my transmission. I asked the owner to refund my money. He refused. I ended up taking the business to small claims court where I recovered some of my money. But, they lost my trust, and my business for good.

Dont wast your time not trust worthy the owned that took over for the Dad some time ago has turned this once honest hard working shop in to a chop shop of sorts. I went in for a $34.95 wind shield wiper motor rebuild I stated not the spendy one Im disabled and cant afford it ok. I also showed him right were I wanted a shut off switch for my classic 63 nova cherry I had since high school in 73 a simple job. What I got was the switch was right were I told them not to put it the cheap wiper motor and 6 inc of wire they replaced cost $800.00 Thats how much I paid for the car in 1973 he lied to my face then ripped me off Never again will I go to this shop when the dad owned it they were honest and hard working now they are stealing from any one they can.

Very professional and friendly mechanics at Hi-Line. Often, when women go into a shop for work to be done on a vehicle, the mechanics are condescending. My daughter recently got a great deal on an older vehicle, there were a few "basic" things that needed fixing so I gave it a shot. Im no mechanic, so I didnt get it quite right. Fast forward through a few weeks of tows and dead car. When I finally got in contact with Forrest and the team at Hi-Line, issues were quickly identified and resolved in an honest and professional manner! I couldnt have asked for a better experience!!

Horrible service -Avoid this company -> do not believe bbbs rating. The owner/mechanic charged me $409.74 for parts and labor for a botched job. The majority of the charge was for a so called OEM Crank Position Sensor. The crank position sensor he sold me was definitely not an OEM part but a knock off that sells for $40. Not only did he sell me a non OEM part he destroyed it by misassembling the sensor into the wrong hole in the transmission housing, such that the clutch torn into the sensor housing and destroyed it.

Dissapointed... My car was having electrical/sensor issues, and it would occasionally either not rev up when i pushed the gas pedal, or it would lurch and over-rev. I spent about $2k on various sensor replacements and the labor to have them installed with these guys, but in the end, nothing they did helped the problem. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because I honestly believe they tried to fix the car, they just didnt seem to have the training or knowledge to figure it out.

Called them during a weekday, Gene assured me that they would be open on Saturday. I drove my car all the way down to Burien with someone else so that I could drop my car off. No one was there. We waited for over a half hour for someone to come. No one was there it was all locked up with their gate. After speaking with somebody on a week day assuring me I could come on Saturday I just wasted my entire morning. I will never go back here again.

These guys are awesome. The power seat on my Buick T-type broke and was stuck forward. Unfortunately parts are no longer available but they still managed to accomplish the task I ask for of moving a broken power seat. Not only did these guys do the job I was dreading to do myself but also did it in less time then I could. And I know this car like the back of my hand. A+ work and as a mechanic Id highly recommend them to others.

I am very pleased with the oustanding service provided by Hi-Line Auto Electric. They fixed my 2005 Pontiac Gran Prix right the first time and at a lower cost than the local dealerships quoted. The whole team treated me like I was family and had my car back to me the same day.

Very through. Very professional. Explained every step to identify the problem. You can count on the problem being repaired properly. Not inexpensive but definitely get the problem taken care of. They follow through with what they say. Recommended highly.

Hi-Line Auto Electric replaced the clutch and timing chain. I never knew my truck could run so good. It drives better than new and im so happy. Its not the cheapest shop but they are the best. Worth every Penney.
