My experience with this Public Storage location was horrible. I reserved a unit online for a roll up door/outside entrance unit on their promotional special. The employee that helped me when I arrived was not at all helpful or friendly. Mariella? (Sp) had an attitude from the moment I showed her my locks. I already have Public Storage locks that I had purchased previously, since I store with Public Storage often. Employees have a quota to sell locks, and this is often a sore point when they cannot make this up sale. We went to go look at the unit. This property does not have a golf cart. Employee walked way ahead of me, and when I expressed that I had arthritis and walking to end of property was difficult, did not offer to let me drive to unit. We looked at the unit, and it was down a hall, not in fact an outside entrance/roll up door. She said she had another unit without the hall, and we went and placed my lock on the door. I mentioned that I had booked online for an outside entrance/roll up door on their promotion, and she told me neither unit was on the promotion. I asked to remove my lock, as I only wanted a unit if it was on their promotion. Employee got flustered and angry and stormed off to office, slamming gate behind her. She called a supervisor to assist her. Supervisor verified that first unit I was shown was in fact on promotional special. I have been storing with Public Storage off and on for over 10 years. In all of this time, I have not encountered any employees that were quite as rude as this employee. Dealing with difficult customers is a part of customer service. Employee was clearly angry, flustered, and needs to be trained further on customer service and composure. I ended up choosing not to store at this particular property, because of this employees attitude and behavior. I am a property manager, and if I treated my tenants the way that this employee treated me, I would not have any. In the end, I decided to get a unit at another Public Storage location, where I have stored in the past. Rose, the manager at the Shoreline location provides excellent customer service.

I am SO disappointed in this place. They have raised my rate at least 4 times in the last year so it is now almost double what I signed on for. They NEVER have the $1 deal they advertise. EVERY time I go in, they are telling a customer no, we dont have any of those and they offer other "deals" that is BAIT AND SWITCH! I have needed a repair to my light for OVER a year! The one time a repairman came to "repair" it, he rearranged the front so that when I opened it, a pile of heavy topsiturvy boxes fell on me and they blew off my injury. The latest CRAP that finally inspired my review is that I called yesterday and tried to get information from Ariel. She was less than forthcoming, completely uncooperative, and a total disappointment. After my 1st call to leave a message before they opened that was not returned by an hour later (when they had been open for 1/2 hour), I called again. That was the ONLY time I was able to get her on the phone. 9 more calls! You cannot tell me that she was unavailable each of those times. I am thinking caller id and ignoring a customer you do not want to help is the reason... When I went in personally 3 hours later I stood there and waited for her to finish with another customer... I called her just to see... she looked at the phone and did not answer it. TWICE. To top it off... when she realized who I was; even though I had waited for 15 minutes, she proceeded to help another customer who had JUST arrived instead of me, making me wait even longer despite being visably disabled with a cane! FAILFAILFAIL I cannot WAIT to move out and would have done so months ago if they did not load me up constantly with fees and price increases.

Wow....I deal extensively with Public Storage as a company, and I am beyond impressed with this particular property, and the manager, Laura. I rent one of the largest "warehouse" units, and access the site multiple times per day. Laura has always acted professionally, dressed professionally, and dealt with my concerns or issues with immediacy and a smile on her face. This is a five star property, and I am proud to be a customer because of her abilities. I am displeased with the new district manager, Mike, as he is a corporate robot, and a prime example of why there is a disconnect between many Americans, and large, bureaucratic corporations. He is new to the company, so I hope he gains experience in flexibility, judgment, and sees that customer service wins in the long run, and loyalty is a two way street. His predecessor, Chanelle, got that, and I believe most Public Storage managers do see the larger picture, and the consequences of putting short-term profits ahead of long-term relationships. But, I digress. As a whole, and with special consideration to this property and Laura the manager, I am happy. I would recommend renting from this location. Thank You Laura, for your warm attitude, and professional work. I hope to see you promoted, as you represent what the public wants from a large company, but rarely sees. Nordstrom knows customer service, Southwest airlines knows customer service, and Laura represents what is good about those types of companies and what customers should expect in their business relationships.

After researching prices and locations, I reserved a unit later one night. TJ, propery manager, very politely called to arrange a time for us to meet. He asked me a couple questions and said he had just the right unit for my needs. When we met in person that afternoon, he was nice, professional and even offered me a cup of coffee, since Laura had just started a pot. We got the paperwork done, signed and out of the door we went. I have faith that the stuff we will be storing there is safe and secure. I only wish that we could have access to our unit later into the night, as occasionally, we do need to get into for a project, fundraiser or disaster assistance. But, we are happy so far and know that whatever questions or issues that might come up, TJ and Laura can handle.

I use to rent with Laura at another facility. I was pleased to see that she is at the current facility where Im renting now. The facility here looks clean, secure, and the rent rates are a lot cheaper than further north. However Lauras personality is what really is impressive. She is super informative friendly and personable. Renting with her is an awesome experience due to the experience of just knowing her. I can honestly say that out of all the employees Ive met, this girl aint no air head! No one does customer service like her. Every postive word imaginable is what this girl is. She gets the job done and then some. Im sure she would be successful anywhere she went, Public Storage is lucky to have her.

Sunshine!!!! Pure rays of Sunshine does Laura bring to the property. Public Storage bought out Shurgard back in the day, and I have been through plenty of managers. However Laura is the kind of manager that will do outstanding no matter where she goes because of how she presents herself. Laura is professional problem solver and all star to the company. Her positive attitude helps customers see past the "big company views" and creates a more personable experience. Public Storage is one lucky company to have snatched her up. There is no girl sweeter than this gem right here. Thank you Laura for all that you do and for simply being you!
