It panes me to see "bad reviews" about a business when it doesnt apply to "that" business. This review is for Sterling Automotive in EDGEWOOD WA. I have trusted John and his staff with not only my personal vehicles but also with my small fleet of trucks and vans I have for my business for more than 10 years. They have ALWAYS been fair, honest, and correct with the way they handle my repairs and service. One word describes this business "INTEGRITY". Please people, make sure you have the right business in mind when you leave a review, good or bad. And make sure when you are reading reviews that YOU make the choice to reach out and find the truth for yourself. Ryan T.

My entire family has been taking our cars and trucks to Sterling Automotive for YEARS and have never had a problem. The staff has always been friendly and bend over backwards to accommodate. We even refer to John Sterling, as "Honest John". They dont perform work that is not needed and even if you cant afford the list of work needed at the time, they will break it down by priority and safety. I would not (and dont) hesitate sending friends to them. And have yet to hear a negative come from them. My Only wish, is that were open on the weekends... Shady business: We had a horrible experience with Sterling. Had work done and when we got the car back there was a rattle like a loose bolt that needed to be tighten and brought right back in to see if they could just look over the work they did to find out where the rattling noise was coming from. Was told we needed a new alternator and that is why it was making that sound. (working fine before any of the work was done). Left the shop & took over to Fathers house he found there was a loose bolt and tightened it with in a matter of two min. Shady business. You always worry about it and sure enough it happens.

I had my vehicle serviced there once, but never again. The engine light came back on after it was fixed and so I brought it back to the same shop. Turns out they installed the wrong part and they had me pay them over $90 just to tell me they messed up in a diagnostic. Then they wanted me to pay to fix the mistake & made it sound like they were doing me a favor. This shop looks like a good one but they charge much more than other mechanics. They did not treat us very well and I felt ripped off. Thank you!

As a shop owner myself I know how busy day to day operations can be. My family and I were dropping my daughter off to her house for school. I didnt know what to expect from Sterlings Auto. This place just sucks a@@ they did an absolute horrible job on my Dads truck and quite frankly I will NEVER TAKE my car there they deserve to be out of business in all seriousness. They are so bad that all they care about is your money they dont take ANYTHING serious while your there. They deserve about an D minus maybe close to a F.

brought vehicle in with a problem I needed fixed and then when they couldnt figure out the thing that needed to be fixed after a couple tries over 3 weeks they said they didnt have time for my vehicle. brought it somewhere else and fixed it in a couple days. over priced. poor vehicle diagnostics.
