In February 2016, I went to this Firestone located on Pacific Hwy in Federal Way. I got a full inspection done & had my front brakes, pads and rotors done. All was well until a few weeks ago (July 21), I noticed my steering wheel shake slightly as I braked past highway speeds of 55. I went to a second car mechanic a couple days later, not associated with Firestone, and they told me I needed new brakes and rotors. Confused, I went back to the Firestone in Federal Way the same day to talk to the manager after I called the store & attempted to get a straight answer regarding my brake job & getting it looked over. When I initially called hours before, the young woman at the front desk kept telling me over the phone that it seemed like an alignment issue. She was not listening to my complaint, nor trying to resolve the issue promptly. The manager, Mike, said hed get me to come in at 3 p.m. the next day (July 26) to get the brakes redone correctly. I went the next day, the brakes were redone - as told to me by Chuck - and I was on my merry way. I went to another car mechanic, again not associated with Firestone, to thoroughly check the brakes and rotors again the following week, and the same issues were still there. My brakes and rotors were not fixed, for a second time. Because of how poorly the brakes were put on, the mechanic was shocked the FW Firestone let me leave their parking lot. I called Matt about a week later, the front clerk at the Kent Firestone, and he said hed take me in to get the brakes looked at right away. We set an appointment for August 19. They are located at 10624 SE 240th St. While at their shop getting the brakes inspected, Matt got on the phone with the Firestone in FW. It sounded like like they were giving Matt the runaround. Michael, the mechanic looking at my car, came inside to see what the status was. Matt was laughing, put on hold by the FW store, and said "What kind of Firestone is this?" Matt apologized to me and said they deal with stuff like this all the time. The mechanic, Michael, said hed come get me personally regarding my car and wed take a test drive later. He said he took it on his own test drive beforehand, and noticed rings on the rotors, meaning they were not cut right, therefore causing the chatter. Michael said it looked like they were cut with a dull pocket knife. They fixed my brakes promptly, and Ive had no issues. Matt & Michael at this Kent Firestone are all about customer servoce, timeliness and quality work. They were keen on answering my questions and were very sympathetic of my situation. They didnt even charge me for their labor cost; I only had to pay $30 for the oil change. I am so grateful, and I will be a returning customer to them for future car jobs! If you need a quality job done, and are willing to drive a few extra miles, take your service to Kent. I gave the Federal Way Firestone the benefit of the doubt & was patient with them, yet much more than I should have. After their second mishap, I knew the car mechanics there were not knowledgeable or willing to do a quality job. I highly recommend the Kent location, not the Federal Way one.

I dropped my old hunting truck off to have an alignment after replacing some parts. When I came back 4 hours later, still within business hours, I walked up to see my truck parked in front of their bay with my Disabled Army Veteran license plates stolen. A police officer made a report and the employee in charge that day was there for the entire event. The manager and the regional manager very clearly told me that its unfortunate but they dont care that my property was stolen under their care and they refused to make any gesture of good will. I even said that just paying for the additional expense it costs to replace the plates would make it ok, but they refused. I havent received even a call back and an apology, just a no and a cold shoulder. This is not acceptable Customer Service.

Great service, professional, and Im glad I turned to them to have my alignment done. Granted, I didnt get an appointment the same day for it, rather the next, but they have a "lifetime alignment" which ensures that I can get it re-aligned as long as I own my van, regardless of how many times I run into curbs or other bumps too fast. I had let Les Schwab try to align it after several attempts, it kept pulling, and they always had some excuse that something else was the problem. Firestone had it done in 35 minutes from the time I dropped it off, and it has been fine until I hit a curb again. (Time to take it in for a free alignment.) Ill be having most all the future work done with this center, as long as I live in Federal Way.

DONT COME HERE. this place has really bad customer service, they are not focus, really disorganize and wont get the job done right away even with appointment scheduled. I usually used to bring my car let say, Saturday morning but for some reason wouldnt get it back until the end of the day on Sunday. Last experience I had was the worst, I dropped it off for just a flat tire and I specifically told them that I needed the car back the same day. The shop closes at 6pm and I called them at 5:55pm asking for my car, they just answered that they didnt know my car was there and havent even touch it. I dont recommend anybody bringing their vehicles here.

BEWARE! I took my truck here and it hasnt run right since. They changed the brake fluid- but they forgot to bleed the brakes- I almost had an accident getting out of their parking lot. They tuned it up- it took three return trips to get it running even half way decent, the gas mileage is worse now than it has ever been. They supposedly serviced the 4WD- a few weeks after my visit the Service 4WD light came on and the 4WD has been intermittent since. I returned seven (yes 7) times, and they still didnt get it right. If the tires that they sell is as bad as the maintenance that they do- I wonder how they can stay in business.

When I moved to federalway in 2004 I was in need of a good mechanic that was nearby instead of having to lug my vehicles all the way back to south Seattle where my previous mechanic of 14 years was located. I took my car into this Firestone in 04 and I havent looked elsewhere since! Outstanding customer service, convienant service hours and they allow you to have your towing bill to be added to the repair bill ( just in case you didnt have the $ for the tow, at the time that it was towed ). Needless to say, I think Ive found my new mechanics for the next 14+ years! Great job guys!

I usually go to the Woodinville store which is excellent however living in the south end I had to find somewhere closer. Unfortunately I came upon this shop. Ive been there 3 times trying to get service. Each time they never seem to have time to help. Today I had a simple flat repair to which they asked if I could leave the car as it was going to be several hours. Fortunately Discount Tires was right down the road, they had me in and out in about an hour and didnt charge me to boot. Wont be coming back to this store again.
