Got uniroyals for a great price at sears online, had them installed when I picked them up. Two stars for good tires on sale. Now the bad... When I drop the car off he goes out to "check a few things". Comes back and proceeds to tell me how my alignment is very off, and I need to pay 200 for a lifetime alignment (haha no okay.) I tell him my alignment is fine and I had it done 2years ago and had it checked in shop the week before by Honda. He argues with me for a while and gives up. I come back to pick the car up he tries the same thing and argues with me for five minutes until I shut him down. Start driving off and im almost out of the parking lot and I realize my hood isnt shut all the way. He had left it unlatched... probably when he checked my trans fluid so he could try and push a fluid change on me. If I had gotten straight back on the highway without checking my hood there could have been a major accident when it flew off and hit the cars behind me. Thanks Sears, youve reminded me once again why I avoid department stores and megamalls.

This place used to be very good, but after the change in management, staff, and reduced hours a few years back they are horrible. First, try calling Sears Automotive Federal Way, WA and they will likely not pick up or you will most likely be told by a not so friendly woman that they will call you back....they rarely call back. Next, if they do any work for you, be sure you have the ability to check it. I had an oil change that was 2 quarts short. I also had a recommended radiator flush after they advised me was needed. A few days later I find my car over heating and they had only filled the cooling system a third full with radiator fluid/water...they did not wait for the thermostat to open so they could fill the rest of the cooling system...good way to ruin an engine! I miss the old friendly staff and the longer hours whereby I did not need to leave work early to get my car. No matter, I wont be coming back!

I recently purchased new tires and had them installed at an out-of-state Sears while I was on vacation. I had a great experience with that Sears location, but unfortunately while they were installing my new tires they must not have reset the TPMS because it started alarming almost immediately. I wasnt able to return to that same Sears, but made an appointment at this one in Federal Way to have the issue addressed. When I arrived at this Sears (a 30 minute drive from my house), they told me that their TPMS equipment broke the day before. Needless to say, they clearly do not value my business enough to have the courtesy to inform me; but rather they let me waste more than an hour of my time and gas to drive there for no reason. If this is their idea of customer service, it is not surprising that Sears is reportedly going out of business.

Went there to do the break inspection of my Jaguar X Type and I was prepared to change the brake pads. But the technician was very nice and honest that he told me I dont need to change the break pads. He said I dont even need to change the brake fluid but I can change it if I want for the peace of mind. And another time, I went to balance my tires but they said I need new tires and gave me 1 tire for free with the purchase of 3. Overall very good service. Would recommend.

The only reason why Im giving two stars is because of the very nice lady who rung me up. All in all, everything was disappointing. I purchased a Groupon and they didnt even live up to what the Groupon was promising. In the fine print, it said they would have complimentary top off. The lady said "I dont know why they put that on there. We dont ever do that" oh? So why is it being advertised for your location? First time visitor, never coming back.

They wont take responsibility for anything. Even with a warranty, our friend is being charged sales tax for a replacement tire when the first had a manufacturing defect. They also denied the damage to the donut tire that occurred during the full day the car was there to wait for a replacement tire - which will now take a full week to arrive. Very disappointed with their service and values. Would not recommend.

they tried to price match with a different brand. i know exactly how much i want to spend, the person assisting me was trying to make me believe that Im saving a lot and i only have to shell out this much extra, i didnt budge and they decided to agree to what i want, so i guess it was a good buy in some ways.

Refuse to change my oil just because I didnt want a full synthetic oil . His computer told him that its recommends full synthetic and he thinks its means require !!! . Had this car for 4 years never had synthetic oil and few times had oil change at sears with conventional oil

Always as fast as they say, which is honestly all you can ask for. They are very busy at this location so expecting just to drop in and get service now is kinda foolish. Take advantage of the appt system and ask for Chris or Jeff to get the best service.
