I took my 2005 Honda Pilot into the Issaquah Firestone on a Sunday (since most of the other auto repair centers are closed on Sundays) upon realizing that my front brakes were metal-to-metal a day prior (and the rotors were still in "great" condition upon visual inspection). I dropped the SUV off thinking I would only need to get the front brake pads replaced (and possibly the rotors resurfaced as well) and waited at a nearby Starbucks. A little less than 2 hours later, I get a call from Firestone telling me "the good news and the bad news". The good news was that they had found the brake problem, the bad news that "all" (front & rear) the brake pads and rotors had to be replaced and that the rear pads were down to metal (or maybe he said metal-to-metal). At this point, I was in disbelief, and my BS meter was going off. Nevertheless, I felt I was in a rock and a hard place because my wife really needed the car the next day, so I authorized the work to be done. But I did tell them to save "all" the parts, and good thing I did. Back at Firestone, they brought out the original rotors and pads. I immediately realized that the rotors were in "EXCELLENT" condition, and the rear pads, although they probably needed to be replaced, were definitely not down to the metal (they still had quite a bit of "pad" left). I disputed their assessment and stated that I would ascertain a full inspection of the original parts and Firestones workmanship by a Honda dealership. Their response/rhetoric/explanation was the rotors were too thin to be resurfaced (they gave me some BS decimal numbers related to thickness), that they were composite and could not be resurfaced (NOT!), BLAH, BLAH, BLAH............... Also, they had done a brake fluid flush (which wasnt necessary) without telling me but of course charged me for it, and I found this out later after reading the service invoice. In short, Honda of Bellevue found discrepancies/errors in their work on every level, and found the OEM rotors (NOT composite!) to be in excellent condition in which they did not even need to be resurfaced let alone replaced. They found the brake fluid flush was not needed as well. My wife went back to Firestone and presented the report from Honda, and demanded a "FULL" refund for "ALL" unnecessary work, which she eventually got after a "HEATED" discussion. My advice to anyone considering getting their car serviced at this Firestone (or any other auto repair shop) is to "MAKE SURE YOU SEE OR DEMAND ALL THE ORIGINAL PARTS". But if you can, AVOID THE ISSAQUAH FIRESTONE!!!!!!!!!!! Like the reviewer that commented "CANNOT BE TRUSTED", yes, these guys really CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!!!!!!!!

We dropped off our car with a semi flat tire on Sunday as they had said on the phone that they would be able to patch that day. We later received a call from the dealership that they could not patch the tires as the back two had such bad tread they were no longer street legal. This gave me pause but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked for a quote to replace the tires. The number was staggeringly large considering I had purchased tires for much less in the past. I asked them to fill the tire with air and I would take it elsewhere to have the tires replaced (quoted at half their cost right up the street). We then let them know we would be in the next day during business hours to get the keys and pick up the car. We went to the store the next day 2 hours before closing time and the front desk informed us that they had locked the keys in the car. We have only 1 set of keys for this vehicle so they had just locked our only set! When we asked what we could do they offered to try and open the car. How did they do that? A COAT HANGER that they jammed in the door and then could not even get to unlock. At this point they shrugged their shoulders and walked back in the office. We had to use our personal AAA account which is for emergencies only to come and unlock the car. As the AAA truck was leaving they offered to pay for the unlock and we said we would call the manager Chris Stephens in the morning to arrange. We called this morning and Mr.Stephens renege on his employees offer and would not pay the unlock charge. He called my husband a liar and said that he was going to trust his front desk over us that we had asked them to lock the keys in the car. There is NO WAY we would have asked that as we ONLY HAVE ONE SET OF KEYS!! I have a formal complaint pending with Firestone corporate but DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!! They are completely unprofessional, rude, and cannot be trusted.

I left my car at this location last Friday for an oil and filter change, I usually do as its relatively close to where I work. Later in the day they called to say the car was ready but they had identified some issues with my brakes, and issue which they said could cause me to at some time soon "put your foot through the floor pressing the brake deal and NOTHING will happen!" Melodrama doesnt sit well with me so I told them Id just pick up my car if it were ready. This morning I dropped my car off at a shop I trust (Auto Logic in Bellevue) to have them give the car the once over, they just called me with this news... The oil and filters are filthy, thats the air and oil filters I paid Firestone to replace 3 days ago-never changed. The brake problem they were so melodramatic about, not anywhere near the problem Firestone claimed. Its being addressed now at half the price and with higher end parts than Firestone quoted. So, there it is in black and white. Id heard of Firestones dubious business practices but had in some way trusted them previously. No more, I paid them for services never completed. AVOID this business at all costs.

The staff and management are sub-par. I had to take my car back 3 times to get the new tires I had purchased balanced correctly. Each time I came back and explained what I could hear and feel the response I got was close to disbelief and very condescending. I felt that they did not believe what I was describing, even though upon re-balancing my tires the problem would return...until the third visit where I was told by phone that they had a brand new balancing machine. After the third appointment they brought my car out and continued to act like I didnt know what I was doing and made a comment "I dont know what youre doing to this car"!!! What?!! I also feel that because I am a woman they had a hard time accepting that I might know a little something about cars! So...after the third re-balance with the brand new machine...all is well. Tires are in balance at high speeds, no more klunk klunk on the passenger side undercarriage...I was completely dissatisfied by my experience at Firestone Issaquah. Will NEVER return. Would NEVER recommend their so called- service. Such a bad experience.

I had a great experience the Firestone in Issaquah, WA. My car was in desperate need of some new tires, I brought it to the local Chevy service department where they quoted me at over $2k for the set of 4 tires and labor to install them. On my way home I decided to check to see how much the Firestone store would charge for the exact same same tires. The overall cost was about $1500 but the employee told me that they were having a sale soon and if I was willing to wait several days it would save me over $300. When I brought my car back several days later the installation took less time and cost even less than originally estimated and all of the employees were extremely polite and helpful. I sincerely appreciated that they had the opportunity to make more money from me but instead informed me of the upcoming sale and how I could save even more money. I recommend at least checking out this Firestone if anyone is ever in the market for some new tires.
