Also by far and away THE WORST! I will do just about anything to not use USPS here. Heres just some of the reasons why.....I had an excellent letter carrier but for some reason he got moved (maybe he asked for a transfer to escape this location) and then I got the worst. There was never a week that went by that I didnt get someone elses mail and there were many pieces of my mail that were either delivered to some other address OR returned as "undeliverable" - with the correct address, including the 9 digit zip. I even sat in my living room and watched the carrier pull up to my mailbox, drop the mail then drive away...I went out and there was a notice "We attempted to deliver" a certified letter but apparently I wasnt home! I got right in my car and drove up to this joke of a post office and asked to see the manager. And as an aside, the counter staff, with a rare exception, seem to have some kind of competition going as to how S...L...O....W they can help the folks in line. Anyway, back to my experience..... I showed the alleged manager a couple weeks worth of photographs of misdelivered mail, and explained what had JUST happened at my house...his solution. PAY for a post office box. Yep, the cant do the simple job they have now but think I should pay more for the inconvenience of having to drive to the Post Office to pick up my mail. And why would I think they could put my mail into a correct slot there if they cant put it into the correct postal box on my street? I finally just wrote the Post Master General with all my documentation. I have no idea if it made the difference but I once again have a GREAT letter carrier. I still get misdelivered mail but its rare. I only wish I had some idea of how long it will last but I suspect not long.

A fill-in carrier (filling in for the best carrier I have ever had, Ronda, whom is unfortunately on medical leave) came down our street while I was just starting to bike to the Post Office with a package (I was about 50 yard out from home). Relieved that I didn’t have to bike all the way to the post office, the fill-in carrier had a somewhat perturbed look on her face while I was beside her vehicle ready to give her a package (in which I paid for tracking). I handed the carrier the package and the carrier chucks it in the back of the vehicle like a softball. The carrier doesn’t say a word and continues on the route. Unbeknownst, to the carrier, my house is just two houses down to where they are currently at. I bike back to my driveway waiting to receive my mail. Again, the carrier has that perturbed look on their face as to what am I doing here. Waiting to receive my mail, I ask the carrier to why they didn’t scan my package. The carrier relayed that is done at the Post Office… Shortly after, I called a supervisor at my local post office (Lakewood Main) to relay this carrier’s poor customer service skills and handling of my package. Incidentally, I have stopped carriers (if I see them on my way to the Post Office) if I had something to drop off at the post office and had to be scanned as received. This was the first time that scanning was not done, my package was treated like dirt (which was actually an expensive antique I had sold online) and that service came with a very unfriendly attitude. Hopefully, some much needed customer service training will be provided for this carrier.

If I could give this place 0 Stars, I would. I recently moved to Texas, and had a box of 60 dvds shipped to my new address. The lady my mom worked with when she had the package sent out for me REFUSED to put insurance on the package because she had already sped through the process before my mom could even ask for it and then told her it was too late to add anything to my order. They apparently thought my return address was the delivery address and kept trying to deliver it to an apartment I no longer lived in in WA. The box never even left the state, and just circulated back and forth from Seattle to Lakewood and so forth. When someone finally went to get the package for me and just try to resend it, they informed my step dad that they had LOST the package and couldnt find it anywhere. THEN I was informed my package was sent to the Dead Mail Center, and I have less than 60 days to list every single DVD and Blu Ray I had in the package or else I will never see them again and they will be destroyed. Thank you so much, postal service; Youve cost me over $600 all because you wouldnt allow me to pay the extra $5-10 it costs for insurance to begin with. Do yourself a favor; go to ANY other post office but this one.

Wow got a hold of one of the head supervisors for this branch did not wait too long on hold and was able to discuss my issue of mail being stolen in my neighborhood by random thieves who with an open concept mailbox system just come by walk up and open and steel what they want I am not able to watch the mailbox all day long and have no time too replace stolen mail especially sensitive mail. So I ask for permission to put out on the post a lock mailbox with which i have the key and I was granted permission with no issue . He was very understanding and kind. I do not understand the issues people state in complaints as I have lived here over 5 yrs and have never had an issue. They are professional and great. Too all the staff and crew at this branch Thank you and I hope you all have a great New Year. They represent the US Mail propper. Thank You From the On Site Manager for Lakeview manor Apts Lakewood WA. Elizabeth.

I wish there were zero or negative stars. After not receiving a product I had purchased ($106) the company told me the tracking info showed the package was delivered to my mailbox. Our mailbox is locked and this would likely not have fit through the opening so I find this impossible to believe. I receive multiple boxes throughout the week and have NEVER had a theft so I also find it hard to believe that it was left at my door. I spoke with the supervisor Who was supposed to call me back after speaking with the carrier. He never called back. I made several attempts to reach him but the number either rang busy or went unanswered. I let it ring at least five minutes each time because honestly I am amazed this is what our tax dollars pay for

This is by far the worst post office Ive ever had to deal with. During Christmas time last year my mother sent me a toy for my son and just because it didnt have my apartment number they just left the package at the mail boxes outside and someone took the toy. My name and every thing else was there on the package but they still left it outside. Even though they put mail with my name on it in the same mail box everyday they didnt bring me the parcel. I tried calling the lost office and this lady who answered left me on hold for 47 minutes until someone else answered to collect my contact info just to tell me that they will call me back and they never did. They dont have call waiting so the line is pretty much always busy.
