My teenage daughter’s car was taken, by her father, to “Untrustworthy auto” because it was over-heating. They diagnosed the problem as a blown head gasket. Her father called around and chose this place because it was the cheapest. Well, you get what you pay for. “Untrustworthy” stated that they replaced the head gasket. After the car was returned it continued to over-heat. The car went into their shop a MINIMUM of 4 times over the course of 8 months. They stated that their work was guaranteed but felt that this was a new problem…although the car continued to do exactly what it had done before they had worked on it. They refused to accept the fact that the car was even over-heatingand at one point even suggested that it must be a faulty gauge. After spending $2200 I took the car to MY mechanic who I would trust my life with. He performed a number of tests and indicated that “yes” it was over-heating. Please read his following comments: “: PERFORM LEAKDOWN TO SEE IF WE CAN DETERMINE WHICH CYLINDER HAS BREACH TO COOLING SYSTEM PERFORMED SECOND DYE TEST FOR COMBUSTION GAS IN COOLING SYSTEM AND CONFIRMED GASSES PRESENT.REMOVED CYLINDER HEAD AND FOUND ENGINE BLOCK DAMAGED.DAMAGE APPEARS TO BE CAUSED BY CLEANING PROCESS DURING A PREVIOS REPAIR.ALL CYLINDERS ROUNDED OFF ON EDGES BETWEEN CYLINDER BORE AND FIRE RING AREA WHERE HEAD GASKET WOULD SEAL.DID NOT PRESSURE TEST CYLINDER HEAD AND ADVISED CUSTOMER ONLY AT THIS TIME. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD”. The car was towed back to “Untrustworthy” where it sat and sat and sat. I supplied them with the above documentation which I suspect they never looked at. I went to the shop on several occasions to find out what they were doing with the car. She indicated that she had looked at the engine block and could find nothing wrong with it. I was told that they did nothing wrong and the fact that the car was over-heating must be the result of a bad engine. They stated that the car most likely needed a new engine and quoted me a price of $1000…. Like I am going to trust these people to work on my car??????? I indicated that the problem had never been resolved from the get-go. I also suggested that perhaps the car didn’t need to have the head gasket replaced in the first place. At that point the owner was angry that I had “questioned her integrity”. So the bottom line is the car is damaged beyond repair and if I am lucky may be able to get $500 for the parts. Stay away from these guys. They don’t guarantee their work, take no ownership for the crappy work that they do and acted in an extremely unprofessional manner.

Friendly people, they gave prompt service. I thought I was at a great place; they work on State vehicles and my coworkers thought highly of them. Oh, maybe they get some special service that I did not. I took my 2001 Toyota Corolla in to have the front bearings replace. Six-hundred dollars later, I waked away smiling. My car was quiet! About a month later, the noise was back. I called to ask, they said it must be a faulty bearing and to bring it in right away. I had new bearings again, free of charge. It seemed to be too good to be true. About a month later, same problem. I called, and they said there must be more problems, which I had suspected all along. They wanted $200 just to see if there were problems with the CV axles and struts. And then it would be an additional $1200+ for the repairs and parts. Facing a huge bill, I called my father (a mechanic, living in a different state) and he had a fit! "Trusted" Choice should have checked the those components the first time around instead of making an incorrect assumption. He told me to wait, drive as little as possible and he would take care of the problem come Thanksgiving. Trusted Choice had screwed me over. When my father and I took apart the HUBs, both snap rings were missing!!! Their mistake, whether intentional or unintentional, has caused more problems than needed. They either broke them in the processes and didnt want to pay $5 dollars to replace them or they chose not to put them back into the HUBs, knowing it would wreak havoc on the components or they simply didnt know what they were doing. Go elsewhere! Their technicians lack knowledge and foresight. And you will be the one left with a huge, unnecessary bill at the end.

They may be slightly cheaper and friendlier than other places, however they cant be trusted as their name implies... not that they are out to rape you, they will however take thier sweet time and easily forget about the services they promise you. I took my car to them to diagnose a check engine light, it took them a full day to diagnose the problem. We decided to go ahead with repairing the problem, and was told it would be a week to get the parts and they would call back when ready. A week later, no call. I call them, and no one could tell me what was going on, and was promised a call back that day. 3 days later, and no call back. So I call again, and same runaround "well call you back within the hour"... guess what? NO CALL BACK! This goes on for another 2 weeks... so 3 months later, I call them to see if they now have any information... They still have no idea, and no record of anything... not the quote, not the part order, none of the promised call backs... and promise again a call back in 5 minutes after cheking thier hard copy files. Its been an hour since then and once more... NOTHING. F them, they can only be trusted in thier unprofessionality!

I am a a.s.e. certified mechanic with two years of college at bates technical college. I have been with trusted choice auto care going on two years now. shawn, lehonna, and thomas have made me feel at home here. I have got to see the wonderful things they do for their customers and it makes me happy to be apart of this company. there is always going to be customers who are harder to please but we are here to do just that. I strive everyday to make every car leave here fixed and every customer satisfied with their repair. I see these posts on here and it hurts me to see unsatisfied customers leaving such harsh reviews and hope to give resolve to anyone who does see them. we are a good group of professionals giving our best advise and are willing to show any customer the concerns we have for their vehicle. we give are all to correct any concern whether for your vehicle or piece of mind. please give us a try and you will not regret it.

These guys are fabulous! I brought my Acura in for an oil change and they charged me $26 for synthetic oil. Peanuts compared to another place that charged me $78. When I asked about bringing it in for a 60,000 maintenance he said they looked at everything that was included in the check up and all was well. That saved me a boatload of cash. Yesterday I brought the car in because I thought I broke the car charger port and Rocky found that I blew a fuse. He replaced the fuse at no charge. He spent an hour trying to troubleshoot my external temp sensor and said that it was beyond his scope of knowledge. Imagine that. Admit you cant do something rather than bumble through it. I never feel ripped off here. They explain what is needed, tell me how to fix it and give me various options. They will be my mechanics for ever.
