I will just describe my interaction and you can determine how you feel about it whether you think the company is good: I called this company after multiple neighbors said they thought the company was great. I got two quotes and though Hill was more expensive I went with them based on previously delivering to the place I was going and the reviews I got. I was made fully aware of how moving companies charge you and how my move to downtown Seattle would be tough to estimate due traffic and ferry. Once I agreed and gave my credit card for deposit I was all set for my date and time, for a quote that was supposed to be no higher than 9 hours. Two days later I got an email that quoted 3 hours more time (~$360) without any explanation. I emailed them immediately back saying that I would like them to submit the quote at the amount I was quoted, signed, and put a deposit on. I was sent an email describing the process of moving people and why its so expensive. As you know above I was fine with the cost being higher and had no issue with this and wrote back asking why the quote went up without any explanation. They wrote back "What you signed was an ESTIMATE..". Once again implying I didnt know what I signed. I told them I was given a 3 hour quote for packing, then 6 hour quote for delivering. They wrote back "I dont think we can pack that in 3 hours", then said they would get back to me. Multiple days later I got no response or explanation. Now, the packing part of the move is the part they should be pretty close on, the traffic and ferry they should be not so close on. Second they made a no higher than statement to my face when I signed the original document, then acted like I am an idiot for not understanding the word estimate. Third they increased the estimate without any reasoning why, even after multiple emails asking for reasoning it would change. Then finally they didnt respond for multiple days. This company could be great at moving people and I really did ignore multiple factors to let them try. I think as a customer you can only handle a certain amount of leeway before its just too much work. Interestingly enough their site says they sweat the details, but right off the bat I am sweating the details of the back and forth and worried they cannot deliver if they cant even get the quote to be the same. The entire interaction should have been me questioning their second quote and them talking internally about the discrepancy. Then they should have said "we are so sorry but the more we look at the move we are thinking we cant do this and will be able to do it for $x, would you still like to proceed or would you like to reconsider?" I would have found it odd that they gave a quote then changed it considering how confident their estimate guy was, but would have more than likely just gone with it.

We used this company twice. At our initial move out, they seemed to be efficient. Our goods were stored with them for a lengthy period of time. Upon arrival at our new home, only one of the original crew returned to deliver our furniture. Three new movers were in various stages of learning. Two were well on their way to developing proficiency but the third was not with the program at all. As a result, the move was inefficient, boxes were not put in the proper rooms or even floors of our home and walls were damaged. Additionally, our furniture took a beating with actual breakage and lots more dings to older furniture. Newer furniture suffered dents with chips of wood missing. Charged way too much on an hourly basis for only part of the crew being experienced. And we seem to be missing some items (boxes). We dealt with another company at the same time and they inventoried all of our boxes where they were packed by us or the moving company. In that case, we accounted for every box picked up and stored. Hill Moving did not deal with our boxes with the same level of detail. And, now a box missing with good linens in it. Not very likely to use this company again.

We used this company for a short term military move from WA to FL. Being that we were going to see family along the way we had the shipment delivered to my parents house. They signed for the shipment. When we arrived and started to unpack we noticed we were missing some items, mainly a laptop (should have know better than to pack it) and some books. My wife called to let them know and was implied that she was a lier. I called spoke with a supervisor and was quite disturbed at his lack interest. I wouldnt use or recommend this company.

Really liked doing jobs out of this establishment but my last experience was not so good. Warehouseman was anything but helpful. Was yelled at by one of the inside staff for my car being to loud. She handled herself far from professionally. Another man then came out and asked me to move very kindly and professionally. Over all clean warehouse but i think the staff could use a little retraining if they are to be the face of the establishment.

We have used Hill moving at least 4 times for moving heavy items from our home to storage or into a truck I take to Goodwill or recycling. I wait till I can fill at least 2 hours. They are always on time. They are well dressed, make sure they know what I need to do, they answer my questions, and are very professional. You could hunt far and wide to find anyone that would match their service.

This morning around 8:40 on river road in Puyallup I had one of their trucks cut me off. Normally I wouldnt care but I had my 2 year old with me and I had to slam on my brakes. It was either truck 209 or 290. If they are this careless with their driving I would hate to see how they handle my stuff. I will never use this business because of that.

I used Hill Moving to ship some family heirlooms from Silverdale to California. Everything went smoothly. They guys picked up the pieces from a storage unit and packed them carefully. They were delivered much sooner than anticipated and even took the packing boxes away! I couldnt be happier with their service.

Excellent customer service! Nice moving guys. They took great care in packing, loading and unloading all my furniture. The bill was reasonable and even slightly less than quoted - no hidden fees. I will definitely use them again.
