THE BEST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD! Buying a car from Liberty Bay Auto Center was an amazing experience. I will definitely buy my cars only from them! I hated visiting Auto Malls and dealerships because I always and felt overwhelmed and pressured by sales staff. NOT my experience here! I was so pleased and surprised with the car buying experience I received at Liberty Bay Auto Center. I had the pleasure of working with their General Manager Tom Diefendorf and with Carol Ost, Sales who personally assisted me. From the moment my husband and I walked through the doors we felt like family. Tom Diefendorf greeted us and offered us a beverage and then introduced us to Carol Ost. Carol began by first giving us a tour and introducing us to the various departments. She sat with me and talked about some options. I had my eye on a 2013 Lexus RX350 SUV that I had researched on the internet. Carol then walked me out to the exact vehicle! She is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. She then handed us the keys so we could take a test drive and get a feel for the car. We fell in love with the car! Tom Diefendorf and Carol Ost worked with us on the purchase price and made the process of buying a new car pleasant and easy. Everything was seamless and organized, without any tension. After deciding to purchase the car, Carol introduced us to Jeremy Dogeagle in the Financing Department. Jeremy was also great to work with as we easily went through financing (no pressure tactics here either). Jeremy is fun, super nice, and answered all my questions. Such an easy process and the Lexus came with a 48 hour money back guarantee. After our wonderful experience with Jeremy, we met back up with Carol Ost who then took the time to sit with me and my husband in the car and go over every inch/button. Carol is amazing! She even helped me link my phone to the car. I asked her how she could remember all that information and she responded with a big smile “that’s my job!” I never thought the process of buying a new car would be this enjoyable with NO stress. My experience was truly exceptional, and I cannot say enough positive things about Liberty Bay Auto Center. Everyone we met was friendly and caring. Also, I have never been to a dealership or any business where I met the owners. The owners, Dean & Sherri Church and their staff are all so professional, courteous and seemed to love what they do! My husband and I kept commenting to each other how everyone was so pleasant and helpful. Tom Diefendorf and the team are definitely doing something right! Here is the amazing part - we live in Bellevue and they delivered the Lexus to our home in Bellevue without blinking an eye. I will be a customer forever!! Thank you again Liberty Bay Auto Center!!

Liberty Bay’s mottos is: “The friendliest car store on the planet.” These aren’t just empty words. My experience there showed this to be absolutely true. Excellent customer service that truly goes above and beyond and isn’t just about trying to sell you up (Think: fast food restaurants) can be a rarity nowadays. Of course, Liberty Bay wants to sell you a car, but moreover, they want you to be happy and satisfied in your purchase and to really make the customer feel comfortable and cared for even. Little things like offering free bottles of water on a hot day or popcorn to munch on as you wait, go a long way toward making the customer feel special, and taken care of, and as a result of being treated this way, one ultimately wants to buy a car from them. I also love the retro décor. It’s a cool, unique place to hang out, as well as shop for a car. I was very lucky to have Denise Hulsey as my sales representative. she made sure I was well-informed and happy, and I never felt pressured to buy the car; I wanted to buy it. Throughout the two-day car buying process, she continually went above and beyond. For example, on the first day when I came to check out the 2012 Honda Fit (and didn’t buy it), when I mentioned I needed to catch the bus home to Silverdale, she arranged to have their shuttle driver (the amiable and vivacious, Nikki) drive me home. The next day, she called me and asked if I was still interested in the car. I had informed her that my dad in California was going to lend me the money, so she offered to speak to my dad and explain everything and put his mind at ease, which she did. When we decided to buy the car that evening, she picked me up near my apartment in Silverdale and drove me to Liberty Bay. By the way, she did all this on her day off! She had informed me about needing to make an appointment to replace the airbag (Takata recall). Knowing I was going to be in a training seminar all day, she offered to call Honda dealerships and set up the requisite appointment (or to at least see about a timeline for repair). Again she kept me informed, reporting back to me what she learned. As I write this, she is still helping me with the appointment process, and I have already signed the paperwork. Denise has taken complete care of me throughout this whole process, and she’s a prime example of Liberty Bay’s stellar customer service. Finally, Jeremy Dogeagle was also very helpful and informative in helping me set up the financing for my new used car. If you’re in Kitsap County, Washington or any other county for that matter and you’re in the market for a dependable used car and you want fantastic customer service, I cant recommend Liberty Bay enough.

Im telling you , even if you are not planing to buy a car you have to go in for the experience alone . This is how a customer service business should be run. From the time you are greeted and walk in the door you are treated with respect and curtesy. They ASK you what you are looking for instead of TELLING you what to buy. They LISTEN when you tell them and make it happen! If they dont have what you are looking for they will find it and make the experience painless. Thats exactly what Kevin did for us. The car we chose was thoroughly gone over by their mechanics. They changed all the fluids and detailed it. While we were waiting they gave my 2 year son refreshments and activities to occupy him (i.e. Balloons, Hot wheels, Books)We got there about half an hour before they closed and even though we didnt start to wrap things up till about an hour later they were eager to help us (Not to mention there was still another family that was behind us and they helped them too, thank you Jeff and thank your family for letting us steal your time!) My wife and I have always said we want to buy an auto from Liberty Bay and tonight it happened . If you want a fantastic experience and want to purchase a car with confidence ( they have two day no questions asked return policy BTW ) then you owe it to yourself to check this place out !

Cant be trusted! I recently called Liberty Bay Auto to set up an apt. to view a vehicle. I voiced my concern to the saleswoman on the phone that I had to wait 5 days before I could view it (I live out of town). The saleswoman told me that I could put down a $500 REFUNDABLE deposit and they would hold it until I could see it. I put the $500 down and stopped worrying. The day before I was to drive from out of town to view the car, the Manager texted me saying that they accidentally sold the car because the saleswoman that I was working with on the phone went out of town and the message of me holding the car was lost to the rest of their staff. The manager then told me that $500 deposits are only for "definite purchases", even though the saleswoman on the phone told me that if I didnt like the vehicle, I could leave and get my $500 back. Also, come to find out, the saleswoman didnt even run my debit card in the first place...so I didnt have a hold on the car anyway! So, the question I have is if the Manager didnt get the message that I was holding the vehicle, how did he know to call me and inform me that they "accidentally" sold it? My guess is that someone came in wanting the car on Friday, and Liberty Bay Auto couldn’t wait until Saturday for me to look at it…even though they were “holding” it for me. Bad business.
