I took my car (KIA Sportage) to them after a failed emission test as they were listed by the state as one of the to go shops for repairs or a waiver. They cited the issues I needed to address as tune up package and ignition wires package which were to amount to 584.11. They told me that if I were to pay for the 156.72 they would give me the waiver to take to the state then bring back the car when I was financially ready for them to do the tune up which I did then. So here I am ready to take up the repairs they recommended, I call them and make an appointment for 11 am the next day, have my uncle DRIVE my car to them by 9 am, we find Roy. We explain our reason for being there hand him the paperwork, he records something, takes my phone number and keys, he gives the paperwork back saying hell call in the day and let us know when to pick it up. He calls in the day to let us know that what it going on with the care is its timing belt is about to break and it needs a new water pump and the repairs will cost $1675 and if I dont get them done I am looking at close to 4000 engine repair. Keep in mind I drove my car to them for a tune up they recommended after paying them $156 as the problem with the vehicle. I listen to him and think oh well they were proactive and went further to help me I guess. So I tell Roy that I do not have the $1675 for now so maybe I just pick it up until I can afford the elaborate repairs. He tells me that I give them a couple of hours the next day as the mechanic opened it up and isnt available to put it back that evening. We go to pick it up the next evening and the car is smoking and undrivable, Roy is not in but the mechanic whos there lets us know that he will have them look at it again the next day and see why. I agree stating that I drove my car to them, I should at least be able to drive it away from them right? Roy calls me the net day and I explain the same to him and he says he too doesnt understand why and will get back to me which he does the next day stating that it is ready for pick up. I send my uncle and the car is still in the same condition smoking and undrivable. So here I am at work miles away, I get a call from Melissa who lets me know that I should pick up my car or else she will start charging 25 dollars a day for every day that the car is in their possession. Unknown to her or myself...my uncle who was there to pick the car had dialed my number hoping to let me know what was going on with the car and this call was being recorded in my voicemail. I ask Melissa if Roy is there assuming that she may not know the issue and being that she is already being rude and giving me threats, reasoning with her isnt getting us anywhere. She lets me know that she is calling me on Roys direction. In the call and on my end you can hear my uncle asking her to let me know the true condition of the car and why he cannot drive off with it. Melissa is heard telling me on the other line how it is my fault that I cannot pay for the repairs so I should take the car she did not break it! You can imagine me thinking, they expect me to pay to tow a car I drove to them, the same people who certified that my car was in good condition granting me a waiver to take to the state saying the same? Here I was raising $1675 for the same people to take on major repairs on the car being this rude to a point of her (Melissa) telling my uncle to leave the shop otherwise, she will call the police. In this conversation too you can hear my uncle letting her know that it may be a good idea to do so and I agree. I took 4 days to calm down and I will call and pay a tow truck, go pick the car, pay them the $25 dollars a day fee keep the receipt and wait for karma. I will take my business elsewhere. Money comes and goes and I will not let anyone change my positive view of humanity but if there is anyone I can save from going through what we have by this review I will. Be careful, please when dealing with them!

Had ordered the wrong size tire via Amazon, Spoke to Amazon customer service and told me that I would have to get a refund on the tires via Pep Boys. John and David seemed and acted like the guys that knew what they were doing at the service desk and after a few phone calls due to the unique incident with Amazon pushing the return to Pep Boys. The situation was resolved without incident by John and David calling for verification. David even explained the situation to us in a way that we understood clearly. My Wife was so content with the customer service and the their ability to call their boss on a Sunday to get verification that we ended up buying wipers and the best bulbs available for her car. While I was waiting for the car to be finished, I witnessed another customer very frustrated yell at John, blaming john for an issue with her vehicle that he had no control over. John was professional and quiet, which probably pissed her off more. My only complaint is that they are not in Tacoma. Their professionalism, willingness to find a solution to a very complicated issue, and ability to mount tires on wheels, balance the tires, and verify TPS is working and do all of it within 3 hours is outstanding. The rest of the employees each provided customer service to my wife and my self throughout our time there. They won a permanent customer.

I got a quote on Thursday for installing new adjustable coilovers and a alignment. I called Friday to schedule an appointment for Saturday, and was told the schedule was full for Saturday (which is fine). I was told an appointment could be made for 9am Sunday, and was told the job would require the car to be there all day (which was fine). I asked if I could drop the car off early Saturday night before close, and was told that the car would be parked in the garage overnight until the appointment time. I dropped the car off Saturday night excited for Sunday evening when the job would be complete. I was told that I would most likely be called in to confirm desired ride height, and to make sure my schedule could permit that visit (which was fine). 2pm Sunday rolls around and still no phone call. I call to get status update to find that my car hasnt been started at all. I was told that I had many appointments before mine, and that the technician may be able to start the job, but most likely wont be able to finish the job today. I requested the manager, and was told that I was speaking to the person in charge on Sunday. Furious, I told him not to start work on my car and I would pick it up. I can find someone who likes my money.
