Used to come here to get oil changes when one day I noticed my oil filter was still the same as the one my car came with, a mopar oil filter which comes stock on my car. I called and asked if they carried Mopar filters and they said they didnt. So they never even changed it out even though I was charged for it, starting to wonder if they even changed the oil, or even know how to do it. Besides that they were trying to charge me about 1500 on unnecessary replacements like new motor mounts and other high labor jobs, decided not to go through with it because it seemed sketchy since my car ran fine. And Im sure they would have just charged me money and not have actually done any work, also dude was talking crap about my car. This place sucks, dont go here, go anywhere else. Their motto should be "we dont know what were doing, but well take your money anyways!" XD haha

Guy behind the counter didnt seem to know much about cars. I went in for an oil change, they rotated my tires so that the crappy tires were on the front of my car (front wheel drive volkswagon) so know I slide out a lot if theres any rain on the ground. I need to replace them I know but I cant afford it at the moment. Besides that they charged me 90$, didnt fill any of the fluids they said they would, and also didnt replace the oil filter in my car.... What oil change doesnt come with an oil filter? aparently this one. No idea what they were doing for the hour and a half I sat their, it definitely wasnt their job. Oh and they kept the tire key to my car, and were very rude when I went back to get it. Was a bad experience all around, have had better service at jiffy lube with less headache afterwards.

When I first became a customer, I needed breaks work done, and it was wonderful, got the best price around. Then, I became a regular customer, and soon found out that every other oil change there was something my car needed done. Last time I was there, again, for oil change only, this person named "George", wanted to do change of all fluids. He didnt realize that all that had been done at the previous visit. Sitting in the waiting area, I hear George tell EVERY client, their vehicle needs something besides the oil change. That was my last visit. Ive been doing oil changes at Renton Honda, and they have, but once, in a 5 year span told me my car needed anything done. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO GEORGE AT MEINEKE @ DES MOINES,WA

I called in about having some exhaust work done and was given a quite in a fairly reasonable $150-$250 range and told to bring the vehicle in that day for a true quote. Upon showing up the person running the counter informed me that they wouldnt just have me show up and I should have made an appointment. After that I was informed that, despite still not having pulled in and looked at the vehicle, it would more likely be $250-350 for the work. I had taken my car here on recommendation from a friend who said they had a good experience, but I simply cannot say the same. After this treatment I took my car elsewhere for service.

I came to this Meineke because my air conditioner wasnt working. I made an appointment online for a Saturday morning, and when I arrived they took my car right in and got started on it. They were very forthright with their information, explained exactly what it needed, and got to work right away. The waiting room area was very clean, with plenty of seating, magazines, a TV, etc. I was in and out in less than an hour, and I felt the cost for my service was very reasonable, and the folks there were all very friendly and easy to work with. I will definitely come back here again!

I came into Meineke because my check engine light came on 100 miles into a 400 mile road trip. The guys here did a thorough inspection and stayed past closing to get me back on the road the same day, and included recommendations for work to keep things going smoothly. Assistant Manager, George McCann and his crew stayed an hour past closing on a Sunday, and a holiday so I could make it home. Wonderful work, and affordable. Im grateful to George and his crew for helping me out in the middle of my trip on a moments notice.

I have to set one star to leave a comment or I would leave zero stars. We recently took our car to this Meineke, to remount and balance a tire, and they ruined the tire. We have to buy a replacement. They were completely unprofessional about it. When we called to talk to them about it, they hung up on us multiple times. If you care about the work being done to you car and that work being done correctly by professionals, go anywhere but Meineke.

bad feeling with these guys from day 1 - totally justified - they misdiagnosed my vehicle, forgot to put all the plugs back in so that the car ran 100 times worse, left several caps (brake fluid, oil) loose- and told me I needed all these flushes, and another mechanic- who didnt even charge me for putting the plug wire they left off back in- told me they were known for laying it on thick. Worst nest of dishonest people I have ever come across.

My Story- Went in for front end work 3 years ago. Paid @ $1800 and they had charged me for new shocks and various other parts for a Durango front end. No problem I figured I needed them. A month ago I had the car undercarriage inspected by Les Schwab and they said I still have the shocks they put on in 2010!! I wonder what else on the bill I did not actually get. VERY SHADY.

This is one star because I cant make it zero. Most unprofessional repair shop I have ever been to. Manager is rude and literally hung up the phone four times when I called to ask how they planned on fixing my car that they broke. My car got stuck on the lift and the tire they were supposed to fix is now ruined. I strongly recommend you avoid this business at all costs!!!

Spoke to a guy named Paul who was really rude to me. Basically acted as if he didnt need my business. Just a real jerk. Brought my truck to Renton Meineke and had a much better experience. Take your vehicle to Renton and ask for Jesse or Jeremy. They are much more professional and better experienced than the people I dealt with at Des Moines.

I knew my truck would bit pass emissions but he spent 20 minutes telling me why not to even try. I specifically asked if the test would answer why and he could not give me a answer through his fake teeth that where slipping out. Will never go back or to any if the chain stores period
