Right before I was supposed to go on a weekend trip, I damaged one of my tires and took it in to Elliott and basically had to run right after, let them know Id be able to pick the car up Monday. Everyone was super nice and straightforward, and they said theyd call when they found out what was going on. I got a call later the same day, and by Saturday morning the tires were fixed. There was a slight hiccup with other work requested, but that was taken care of free of charge when I dropped the car and they fixed the issue the dealer just sort of shrugged out and said, just keep an eye on it. Prompt service, they owned up when a mistake was made and didnt charge for the oil change/ leak repair because of that. NOW THAT is customer service, sometimes people make mistakes, but owning it and fixing the problem in a timely manner, totally fine. Also, I didnt feel that they were "mansplaining" to me at all or trying to take advantage because Im a women, they were polite and listened and checked what I asked and it was a very pleasant experience. Thanks Chris and Steve!!!

Liars and cheats. This was a few years ago, but we needed a new tire and went to them. They then said the other tire needed replacing, which was questionable, and said we needed a brake job, which I didnt think we did. I decided to wait on the brakes and just get their new tire, which then went flat immediately later the same day. When I brought it back they resisted replacing it, claiming I must have done something wrong (no puncture or anything). I finally got it replaced, but it was the worst experience Id ever had. It could have been worse, though, because I wisely resisted their upsell on my brakes. When I took my car to the wonderful Foreign Car Workshop, who ive gone to for years, they said our brakes were fine for at least a year and that there was no legitimate reason that Elliott Tire should have said they needed replacing. Total liars, and Ive been going to Courtesy Tire ever since, without any problems.

These guys are PHENOMENAL!!! Took multiple cars to them (and referred my friends) for 4 years while living in the area. One example I will share had to do with my girlfriends Altima. The ominous check engine light came on so she took it to the Nissan dealer. They told her that the ENTIRE computer was malfunctioning and would have to be replaced for $1500! I had her bring the car to my guy at Elliott Tire...he laughed, pressed the little button that turns your interior lights on and of inside the door jam 7 times...DONE! Check engine light never reappeared. The dealer was right that the cars computer was malfunctioning, BUT it did not need to be replaced...JUST REBOOTED...which their little known trick of the door light button achieved. And what did he charge? NOTHING! Great,HONEST,and knowledgeable people.

I stopped in this morning because my tire light lit up. I walked in and was immediately greeted warmly and enthusiastically. I told him why I was there and he said well, let me just have a look, Ill bet I can fix it in a jiffy and have you on your way! and he proceeded to do just that. He refused payment. The whole thing was a simple thing but the way he handled it just made the whole rest of my day better and brighter. The next time I need anything tire, I will be coming right back to this place. Edit: a year later. I have now been back 4 times. Same thing - different tires need air - each time I am treated as if I am their best and favorite customer. I still havent bought a tire but now, when I need one, they can charge me whatever they want and Ill pay it happily. These folks are the best.

Last time I took my car here for an oil change, the super helpful mechanic (Hunter, I think?) was really honest about stuff that needed to be done to my car. A couple of things that were relatively cheap could be done right away, but he also gave me a heads up of my cars condition (It has 100K+ miles on it) of things that will be breaking in the next year, so itd be better to get small stuff fixed now instead of big stuff fixed later. I told him about stuff that another "mechanic" had told me needed to be done to my car, and he confirmed (and showed me on my car!) that the other guy was full of it. YAYYYY for honest car repair guys!!!! Im definitely going back to Hunter for all my car repair needs :)

I thought my car might be leaking oil so I took it in to this store. They were able to get me in first thing and called me promptly by midday. He said "Well, I have to be honest. The only problem with your car is that there are no problems with it. If you want I can keep looking but all the basic tests came back clean. If you do find something later, bring it back and Ill run the advanced tests at no charge." How great is that? He very easily could have made something up that I would have had NO clue whether or not I needed done. Very personable, very friendly, and my car has been working just perfectly!

I guess they must be under new management or something. I had their new master tech named Bob look at my car and determine whether I needed a new transmission since the two previous shops Id been to both quoted me at 600-800 to replace the transmission. It turned out to not even be a transmission problem, and he was able to get my car fixed for just over $200... Im glad I actually took a third opinion since every penny counts right now. I highly recommend their services. Theyre honest and its been about 2 months now and shes running as smooth as ever!

Elliott has always treated me right, and Ive gotten excellent service from them, both in quality of service and customer service. In particular, Bruce (service manager, I believe) has always been very nice to us, even when no money was changing hands (taught me how to change headlights, tightened some screws, helped with tires, car buying advice). If I still lived in Seattle, Id still be bringing my car here. Would be Excellent, but they didnt tighten down a nut all the way during an oil change and I was leaking oil for an hour or so.

I know they are under new management, but not sure it is any better. After several problems getting the alignment right they told me I needed brakes and a new steering rack. The price was much higher than my well trusted mechanic. He also said that I did not need a new rack or brakes but that this was common practice among the less reputable tire dealers. I took my rig to Truline on capitol hill. They fixed the alignment which was off, confirmed that I did not need a steering rack or brakes. They are nice enough though.

They told me my drivers side rear tire had a nail in an area that could not be repaired. They wanted to sell me four tires, even though my front tires were in good shape. They also wanted to pressure check my coolant system, replace my fuel filter and do other work. I took the car elsewhere, the mechanic showed me the nail, showed that it was easy and legal to repair, and repaired it in under 10 minutes. I would not bring my car to this Elliot tire location if it broke down in front of their shop.
