I took my car in for the simple replacement of a fan belt. They didnt install it correctly and I ended up stranded in a small town east of the mountains. When I returned to Seattle (it cost me a lot of time and $40 to get the belt fixed), I stopped by to tell them what happened. Rather than apologizing for not putting the belt on tight enough, the owner told me that my belt was "self-adjusting" and that it didnt adjust correctly. I took my car to the dealer and they told me that my fan belt wasnt self adjusting. I then showed them the whole check list of things that Specialty Auto Care said that I needed fixed and had them check everything. Only about 50% of the repairs were necessary. I returned to Specialty and confronted the owner. He was rude and yelled at me in the parking lot in front of other customers. Furthermore, a friend of a friend used to work there and he got fired for telling a customer (in front of the manager) that a repair the manager recommended wasnt necessary.

Dont trust these guys. Went in for a basic belt tightening, they ended up "finding" a few other things that needed replacement, including the brakes. Had just replaced rear brakes and was told by Les Schwab that I still had 20,000 safe miles left on the front brakes. After much resistance of me over the phone asking to not change brakes, I took it to a different Les Schwab and they said I still had 20,000 safe miles left. Even showed me the brakes when the vehicle was lifted. I will never take another vehicle to Specialty Automotive. If you want to be misled, spend too much money and have horrible auto service, go here. Oh, and my belt had a similar problem from the comment below. Belt was not installed correctly and smelled horrible. Had to get it tightened elsewhere. Save your money, time and headaches, stay away from this place.

I went to this store on a busy Saturday for an oil change, and Jack and Kenny fit me into the lineup quickly. Jack walked over to the Swedish cafe next door to find me to ask me some questions about possible other things needed. They had someone deliver a part for me to the store in less than 20 minutes. I had a very positive experience with this shop and will return here for my next oil change while I go swimming, or visit the Paseos (Un Bien) or Scandinavian Shop nearby!

I feel like I was taken for a ride by Dodge- the owner. He failed to install parts that I paid labor for. He failed to give me a receipt for the work- It has been six months. He failed to really fix the problem and put me and my kids at risk. He always charges me more than the original quote. He told me, " perhaps the problem was the way [ I ] was driving the car." -- Please, It is an automatic! Get everything in writing with therse guys or Go somewhere else!

I am pretty surprised by any negative reviews of this shop, because I have only had really good experiences with them. Dodge and Jack are very friendly and stay in good contact when your car is in their shop. They explain their recommendations for repairs, which lets me decide what I want to have done to my car at that time. I’ve had my car (a ’92 Camry) in there three times in the last three years and have been a satisfied customer each time.

I took my Honda Civic for an oil change and they spotted my front brakes were already done and needed replacement - which in fact I got kind of worried about a few months ago noticing my brake pedal was going very far back before actually slowing down -. After the brakes replacement my Civic was in deed slowing down like first day when it was new! Gracias!

I LOVED having Dodge help fix my car. My car died in an intersection and turns out it was my timing belt and my whole interferenced head needed to get rebuilt. Dropped it off Wednesday morning and it was done in two days. It was a big fix and a big chunk of money but my car runs better then it did before the belt snapped. He is also a great guy to talk to! I recommend the shop for sure.

They were seriously so kind and considerate. I had my little daughter with me and they came and gave her a cute little toy and were being so sweet with her. And as a female who knows nothing about cars, it was so nice because they didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. They were just super helpful and fast and had incredible customer service. No one ever seems to enjoy going in for car maintenance, but when I did, I felt like I was part of the family for a couple hours. Jack and Dodge have some of the best customer service you will ever get out of an auto shop, and the work they do is top notch. Its a shame I ever took my car elsewhere.

Got a flat tire on a day I was very busy and had kids to pick up. They made a point of getting me in quickly and patched the tire after removing a nail. Very friendly and efficient. Have also used them for oil changes and general maintenance and have been very pleased with their work.
