I can not tell you to avoid this place enough. I just moved to West Seattle and decided to start the arduous hunt for a new stylist. To my luck, there seemed to be a very close salon right next to where I lived. I was careful to read reviews and check out their website and finally decided this was the place. I booked my appointment online with (decided to not call this person out as that is not the point) and was very clear about what direction I wanted to go with my hair in the long run. I even mentioned what products I was using at home, my hair texture, and length so that she could have a better picture before I even arrived. I was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere walking in. It had a very cool vibe and I really liked the decorations. I checked in for my appointment and was instructed to sit. I pulled up references for styles while I waited. Thats when everything went completely downhill. The stylist walked up and greeted me in a very cold, unwelcoming attitude. I followed her to her station where I again very clearly communicated that I wanted to return to my natural hair color (sandy blonde) in the long run, the cut I desired was a simple bob and my hair was already short. She began very coldly slurring that the appointment I had selected (foil and haircut) was not correct and that price would be different. When I explained price wasnt an issue, but if time was she could just trim my hair. She actually elevated her slurring and had a new excuse.. that she wasnt sure if she could trim the ends. I carefully explained just a trim, showed her on my chin and then tried to reassure her that Ive always had very short hair and it wasnt a problem for me to lose a little. She began using very heavy hand gestures that seemed as if she was intoxicated and I began to get the "get out youve interrupted my buzz" vibe. I was so completely overwhelmed and confused by the complete lack of professionalism that I told her not to worry about it. What I was asking for was nowhere near over the top, and I didnt expect it to happen in one session, nor was I on a budget. But after watching her slur and bang the back of her heavy hands on walls, I just left completely dumbfounded at what had just happened.

Janean Janka provides a wonderful alternative to surgical facelifts called a microcurrent facelift. At first I was quite skeptical of procedure, but the results are astounding. I started with jowls and elephant eyes. Fifteen visits later, my heart-shaped face has emerged from beneath a square mass of loose skin. My eyes are also once again almond shaped. Janean will give you realistic expectations about what microcurrent can do for you. In fact, she undersells. She works out of Ola Salon in West Seattle and is definitely worth the drive. You can receive the same procedure at a dermatologist at a much higher price. Also, she was a trainer for the company that makes the machine, so she knows what she is doing.

i LOVE this place. candi has been cutting my hair for the past year, and as a busy single mom who doesnt have a chance to get in to get my hair done that often, candi has ALWAYS delivered a fantastic haircut that grows out beautifully. i love the way she provides tips for styling, and she is so easy to bounce ideas and provide her own suggestions of what would work for my hair/face. her partner in crime tawni has colored my hair twice and does a phenomenal job. my highlights grew out so well, and i just recently had her do some balayage which i LOVE. this dynamic duo are a gift in my world and i highly recommend not only them, but this adorable, fun salon in west seattle.

The people from Ola Salon gave me the BEST haircut and streaks I have ever had in my life. I went to "Salon 08" to get my foil highlights and hair cut before and they sucked. I did not know how bad of a job Salon 08 did until I got my hair done at Ola salon. I will never go back to Salon 08 - I will stay at OLA SALON FOREVER. Their customer service is great, they focus on every detail about taking care of you as a customer when you are there. You feel like your money is well spent. When I was at OLA Salon, I saw two of the workers from Salon 08 there getting their hair done. I guess that says it all...

I mostly like this place add I love my hairdresser and the desk staff. They are friendly and great at their jobs. Dakota provides awesome cut and color advice and i swear by her as my hairdresser. The environment is rustic trying to be trendy. The big issue here... When paying by credit card you must always give tips in cash to your stylist. Why? For a society that runs on cards its an inconvenience. Figure it out ownership. Every other salon has!

Today was my first time visiting Ola. I was in the mood to cut my hair, but didnt know what I really wanted. JULIA, did an amazing job with my hair. I have curly/thick hair and she worked her magic on my hair. I went from looking like a farmer from the Middle Ages, to a beautiful maiden hehe. On a serious note, she did an amazing job on my hair and I will be back for sure! Thank you again Julia! Keep up the great work!

Ive been going to Ola since I moved to Seattle in 2008 and have always been more than pleased with the services. In fact, Im frequently asked by strangers where I go to get my hair done. I need to send a big "thank you" to KC who went above and beyond today to help me (and my poor time management skills) get to work on time while still covering my desperately grey roots. Thanks for always taking great care of me!

I have been going to Ola for years and Dawn has been cutting my hair for 15 years and I have always got a great hair cut. Everywhere I go people stop and ask me where I get my hair cut. I tell them Ola in West Seattle, They are always inpressed because I live in Silverdale and ferry over every 8 weeks "just for a haircut?" Its a wonderful and relaxing salon with very friendly people. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Avian is amazing! We discussed what look I wanted and she made it better than I imagined it! The vibe is great, not like any other salon Ive been too. Its perfect for W Seattle and those not pretentious! I will never go to another salon again. There were men and women there and everyone left looking GREAT! Great products too my hair has never felt or looked better. I LOVE OLA!!
