Edit - after leaving this the company contacted me almost immediately and got my issue resolved. Ian from Uncle Ikes called me and mentioned that they had tried to call me back after I left the message and never got through. While the attendant the day of was unprofessional, Ian was very professional and helpful and I am updating my review to reflect that. generally try to give the company I am reviewing a chance to respond after a bad experience before leaving a bad review. However, I never received any returned communication from Uncle Ikes car wash after a bad experience there. About 3 minutes in, the pressure on my hose gave out every 30 seconds or so for sometimes a minute or more (this car wash charges you by the time you spend washing). This got steadily worse as I continued to attempt a wash. After informing the attendant on duty of the problem, I was given about $4 in tokens. Unfortunately I lost around 15 minutes or more due to the faulty equipment, and after going back to the attendant he informed the that he already gave me credit. Further pushing caused the attendant to walk away without speaking and hide inside an office. When he was back out again, I tried again speaking to him asking if there was someone I could call about the problem. He again left without saying anything and hid inside his office. He did not make any effort to help me nor did he make any effort to close down the faulty washing station, happily allowing future customers to lose their money fruitlessly trying to wash their cars. Update - uncle Ikea mentioned they tried to call me back. I believe a fault on the part of my carrier led to the problem below and was not a fault of the management. The token machine had a number for the place which I called. They told me to leave a message and that I would be refunded for equipment failures. They said they would get back to me within 24 hours. I left a message, and after 24 hours never received a call back. I then left two more messages which they also never responded to. I paid mostly in cash, and a little bit in card (the card reader at my station was also broken). I am now having to contact my bank to request a charge-back for the portion I paid with card. If you use this car wash, make sure you pay with card so that youre protected when the equipment fails.

There arent very many self-service car washes in Seattle. But this hands down is one of the best that you can visit. They care about their customers and take extra precautions to make sure that safety and that the quality of the service is their number one priority. I was there one time and people were hanging out playing loud music disrupting the people trying to just get their car cleaned and the management stepped up and took care of it right away. And I was shocked impressed and amazed they sent me a gift card the mail to return. Ill never go anywhere else because of the service and quality that you get there. So if youre s**** dirty get your stuff clean at this car wash cuz its pretty amazing cell service and theres an automatic car wash if youre lazy.

Beware of using your credit or check card, you may get charged $25 no matter how long you use the self service carwash. I called the listed phone number and got a recording saying "if you had a $25 charge dont worry, its just a pre-authorization charge and it will clear once the actual charge goes through". Well guess what, its been 3 weeks and the $25 is still charged to my account. To be fair, they did call me back after I left a message and said theyd refund the money. But still, based on other reviews this seems to be happening a lot. Unless you pay close attention to your bank statement, how would you know? It seems they could find a way to keep this from happening if they wanted to.

This review is for the automatic car wash only. I havent used the self-serve just yet. I had a $10 gift card for the car wash, so I bought the $10 automated car wash. I believe there was an $8, $10, $12 and $14 option, so I wasnt expecting a whole lot. The sign says theres an option for touch or touchless, but I either missed it or wasnt promted for a choice, so I got the touch version. Very little soap was used during the $10 car wash. It seemed to be just blasting the car with wet beaters. Maybe the more expensive washes are more liberal with the soap. Its in a good location for me so Id probably go back and try those out, and will try out the self-serves when it warms up a bit.

If you use this car wash with a card be prepared to call this 1800number about the charge. There is a red button on the machine which says "button must be pressed to stop charges", but if you press it, it would shut off the machine immediately on you, and still send a charge of $5 minimum. Little do they tell you also that their authorization is for $25, also. And the guy at the car wash wont be able to turn the machine back on for you. Avoid this scam of a business, moreover there is a ton of manual car washes in Seattle which would run off of $2-3 deposits only.

Unfortunately this establishment has overcharged me. You cant get a receipt. You run your cc or debit card, use the facility while on a timer, then hit a red stop button when youre finished. Recently while looking at my transaction history I noticed they charged me $25 when I remember hitting the red stop button and seeing a total of $12. I see other customers have had the same experience. Looking at my statements I see this hasnt happened every time, but being robbed once is enough for me to say no thank you!

They recently updated their name to Uncle Ikes car wash. I think they got bought out by the pot shop down the road. Clean, reliable machinery, good prices. Only reason I didnt rate five stars is because the super awkward entrance. If you just want to use the vacuums you have to pull in the entrance and drive through one of the self-service carwash bays to get to the vacuums. On a busy day you either have to sit there and wait 15 minutes just to drive through an empty bay or illegally pull in the exit.

I used this car wash twice in the past two weeks and found they charged my credit card for $ 20 the first time and $ 40 the second. This for a small car! When I pressed the stop button, the charge on the machine read $ 5. This is a fraud and I caution everyone to be aware of the overcharge. There is no way to get a receipt as the facility is not staffed. Beware of having your money stolen. No one answers the phone number - no wonder, they are probably on an island somewhere enjoying themselves.

This place has ripped me off for the last time. I paid $12.00 for the Gold/Deluxe wash and my windows appear not to have been washed at all. Vacuums cost $2/3min and you must pay using tokens purchased on site. But, dont get more tokens than you need because they will not buy them back. They dont appear to treat the waste water! Have any issues with the facility? Tough, I have never seen an employee here.
