Ok. The hair is fab! Crystal you are amazing. You took my crazy curls n created the best damn real blow dry then massive wave locks of my life. By the way Im Puerto Rican my hair type is not the type you can just do anywhere. I felt amazing here it was just such an experience! Got my lashes done too though not a fan..of lashes period that is. The only thing that changed the 100% review to an 80% was the colorist Tija. Though ok I am happy she did not color my hair because she thought it would not be good for my ends as my hair was so damaged and being truthful its good to me specially when your pain such a high price tag for your hair. But let me tell you all I heard was negative things about my hair while she washed and on top of that try to sell me every product there. I totally didnt feel comfortable I felt like I was being invaded by a salesman, the really sleezy ones that come to your door and just wont stop knocking. I whats so glad to finally be out of that chair. I mean it was really upsetting I just couldnt believe that had to pay the girl to talk my ear off on how bad my hair was and then dare to try to sell me product I probably do need. But for others that work there it was amazing and so I will go back I just need to know next time who to go to and definitely not to go to.

Never been so disappointed in my life. You would think with the money these people charge they would do better. I came in and talked to the manager about getting my daughters hair done. He had Neanna do a "consult" on her hair. We showed her a pic of what she wanted and Neanna said she could do it. I scheduled and the next day came in. After she was all done I did not like what she did so she had us come back to "fix" it. Today she added more blonde although it looks ORANGE to me and it still looks like crap. I cannot believe I paid almost $200 for someone to ruin my daughters hair. Regis is way cheaper and did waaaaay. The only reason why I didnt go there is bc the lady who normally does our hair no longer works there and I thought this place was going to be worth the money but I was wrong. On top of that the manager was making so many excuses for why her hair looks like crap. I asked for a bolyage and got ugly orange ghetto highlights instead. Dont say you can do something when you cant!!!!

So I am New To the seattle area just moved in from Dallas where people dont play when it comes down to hair. I have been extremely nervous about the thought of someone new cutting my hair. I am a hairstylist myself and i know the importance of a good haircut! I read many reviews of salons and for some reason or another I decided to call Gene Juarez salon. I talked to receptionist and expressed how high maintance I am! Also I did not care about price all I cared was to be set up with someone who loves cutting short hair. She recomended Stephan and this boy has it going on!! He gave me a great haircut I was very pleased with his knowledge and his patience because like I said,"my hair is no walk in the park". I am so glad I found myself a stylist on my first attempt, which as many people know it's rare!!

I usually go to peppers salon in Puyallup, however, they were booked for the day so I thought I would give Gene Juarez in Tacoma a shot. The first time I went there for an all over color the specialist did a great job however the front desk personnel were unprofessional. I stood there waiting when the young girl finally noticed me and said "sorry we were talking about our favorite shows on television". The second time I went there for a haircut the front desk personnel were kind and the hairdresser did an excellent job, however, during the haircut she dropped an f-bomb and other swear words and talked about how people got drunk at the company Christmas party. Completely unprofessional and needless to say, I will not be returning. I highly recommend Peppers salon in Puyallup for reasonable rates AND very professional staff.

I had high hopes for this place when I went in to get my hair color corrected but after multiple visits and letting them mess with my hair because "they know best" now my hair is worse off than it was when I first started going there. When they messed it up for the last time yesterday I called in to get it fixed because it was so many different shades I wanted to cry I set up an appointment to fix it and when I got there they proceeded to tell me that they didnt have the time to fix it. What was the appointment for then? You guys are pathetic and I really wish I was never stupid enough to give you my money and pay you to waste my time. I have long hair that has taken me years to grow out and I may have to cut it all off they messed it up so badly.

I have been in this location a number of times and never had an issue, but my normal stylist was off so I took someone I had never seen before. She was 40 minutes late into my appointment and she looked at my hair and said she didnt have enough time to do it! The manager came out and placed me with a colorist who knows nothing about styling hair! I should of left but the manager offered another stylist but I would have to wait almost two hours. I waited and I met the best stylist EVER!!!! Simon turned that whole bad day into a great hair day! He knows exactly what to do with your hair and attitude! I will be going back to see Simon again and I am glad that I went thru all of that to have the pleasure of meeting such a wonderful stylist!

The people who CUT hair at Gene Juarez Salons & Spas really could care less how they ruin your hair. If they mess up your hair, you are blamed for them taking "creative" efforts on your hair. Although if you have simple thin strait hair.. you shouldnt have a problem here. I have thick, curly, coarse hair and was stupid enough to let them ruin my hair twice. The last time I was in, I explained to the stylist EXACTLY what I wanted, and they gave me short layers instead. The WORST idea with my hair type and I am still growing it out. The colorists however are artists, Jackie in-particular was worth the 200.$ and my hair could not have looked better. Will go back to her, but will NEVER get my hair cut at this Salon again.

I had a better experience at the southcenter location. The lady seemed nervous about my natural African American 3c hair. I asked her about it and she said she was doing hair for 10 years, blah, blah, blah. But she thought she needed 2 people to blow dry and flat iron to be able to to complete for her next appointment 3 hours later. I told her it never took other stylist over 1.5 hours, let alone myself. She used too high of heat and after my first wash, my hair was really dry and didnt feel its normal softness. I had to get two more haircuts within two months to correct the damage and Im still trying to get it right.
