Aghh Ggh
Hands down the nicest post office in Tacoma. Whenever I have anything halfway complicated to do I come all the way down here from Hilltop. The lobby is spacious, theres plenty of staff, plus theres an automated kiosk for simple transactions like buying stamps or sending a package. When the clerk at the Hilltop post office told me the USPS no longer issues paper change-of-address forms and that Id have to pay the $2 to do it online, I instead drove down here to the UP post office where they handed me one from a fresh stack, pleasant as anything, no questions asked. There was a big crowd today (as there is everywhere in the last days before xmas). Two clerks were moving quickly at the counter, and a third woman was taking single item package transactions at a separate station. I was waiting patiently in line for the kiosk, 39 weeks pregnant, panting and sweating profusely while juggling my increasingly heavy priority boxes (which I procured from the well-stocked and organized priority shipping supply station) - when this saint of a postal worker came over and pulled me off to her fast track shipping station and finished things up for me in a matter of minutes, nicely avoiding any possibility of me accidentally giving birth on the post office floor. Overall 10/10 post office, I would recommend it over any other in the city.

Ive never had a problem going in there. The service has always been good at the counter. But if you need to pick up a package and you ring the buzzer to get help thats where the wait is. It takes them forever. But once they get there then it goes smooth. But I do have to say when our regular mail lady is gone we never get out mail on time. It never comes tell like 5 or 6 oclock. Thats absolutely ridiculous. And we are always thankful when she comes back to work. Ive been to other post office like Lakewood and I will never go back in there again.

DO NOT go to this branch if youre filing for a passport. The clerk, James, is incredibly rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I went there twice for passport purposes. The first time he insulted one of his colleagues in front of numerous customers; the second time he had that same behavior with me. I get a bad day, but this was two out of two. Anyone could sense the staff cringe at his behavior. I will not be using this branch any longer, even though its the closest to my home.

My mail man is incompetent gives my mail to other tenants in my building when i make him mad! And to top that off there is a food drive going on with the post office ,he is so special he did have to hand out the bags for donation,so i called my station to ask why,I was told i could put out any bag the great what about the people that do not know about it she would talk to my carrier ,And she had a bad attitude when i called, they do not care.

Witnessed an employee completely throw another under the bus for an honest mistake. Not only did she cut me down in front of several customers, she completely insulted another employees role and intelligence. Super rude. Shane, if you read this, thanks for trying to help me out. Sorry your coworkers tried to paint you in a bad light! I was bummed to have to make a 2nd trip, but even more bummed out by the conduct of that employee.

I love the staff here.. Its a shame people dont rate it better because even if the line is long, thats not their fault! Very professional service. Good parking lot. If anything, avoid the downtown Tacoma PO... They are downright mean, petty and you have to do meter parking.

The wait is always so long! Its like they dont want to be there. Very slow. the lines are huge. Only 2 counters open at a time. I know there is more than 2 people in that post office but I do have to say that they are nice and pleasant people but slow!

My mother works front desk in a post office. I have lived and traveled many places and used various usps to send packages to my deployed spouse. This is by far the most wonderful and peaceful usps:)

The worst 1800 number ever. Cant even get a hold of a person to ask any questions. Sends you to the nationwide number. How does the USPS have such horrible customer service.
