I dont want even go into detail on how unhappy I am. Dont go here! It took the stylist, well it 3 people to do my daughters hair! OK! Yes, my daughter has a lot of hair but the first stylist that did it was going to let me just walk out the door with my daughters hair looking like she got shocked my outlet socket! And I was not having it! So the the owner had to step in and fix it he was just miserable and u can just tell that he was annoyed. And also when I walked away to sit down I noticed that the owner was whispering to the stylist that messed up my daughters hair in the beginning. So I walked over their and they stopped talking. So basically my daughters hair got straighten but it was not silky smooth straight at all. And the owner also charged for 2 flat iron straightens. Because another girl had to help out. So instead of paying 54 I had to pay 69 plus I tipped each person 5 bucks. So all together it cost me 84 dollars!!!! I was just so disappointed in the service that my daughter received! I can honestly say that I like one girl and her name was Andi and she did better flat ironing my daughters hair then orginal girl did. And shes just a helper. I actually had to come home and fix my daughters hair because the top of her hair was still natty and not fully straighten. It was just a disaster!!! And I would never go back!!!!

I have mixed advice about this place. Let me explain...my eyebrows are awesome. They have always had great people to take care of the spa services. Hair not so much. Low to average on my haircut. Average on my partial foil. I used to come here all the time, but stopped because of the hair services. I recently decided to try it again since it has been over 5 years. Same thing happened. Hair cut is low to average and my partial foil is only OK. The thing that sets this place back for me is the customer service. About an hour before my appointment I receive a phone call. The person calling must not have heard me say "hello" when I answered because she was talking to someone, presumably a colleague. She was talking about how "customers make us look f&%king stupid...." kept going on and on before I finally said "hello" again loudly. She only called to ask if I could come in half an hour later than my scheduled appointment because my stylist was running over which was fine, but I was appalled that that is how she talks about us customers. Very disappointing.

I have been going to Brassfields for five years now and seen probably half of the stylists there. I am a hair enthusiast and am very particular about my long locks. The folks here are highly educated -- truly! They go to trainings because they enjoy it and report back to clients with new ideas, techniques, and styles regularly. Ask them for anything and they will deliver! I recently strayed -- I moved up North. I tried another salon twice and was so disappointed. My last cut and color was disastrous. I had an uber-heavy layer, oddly angled bangs, and an all-over color far from the one I had requested. One trip to Brassfields and all was repaired -- perfection was restored! I have never had a bad cut, but the stylists do range in ability, education, etc. Starting out, ask for one of the more educated stylists and then feel your way out. I dont know if I can recommend stylists, but there are two I absolutely adore (Ashley and Robby). The estheticians (sp?) are wonderful as well!

I went in for a bleach and tone consultation and was changing my hair from dirty blonde to an iced out blonde. I was told it could all be done in one appointment for about $280. I cancelled my first appointment and changed to another date. The woman bleaching my hair told me it would take at least 3 separate appointments to change my hair. After leaving with a terrible yellow color on the first appointment they charged me $230 and set me up for two more. And the next appointment meant wasnt for almost TWO more months, because apparently my stylist didnt have many openings to work with. Needless to say, I wasnt about to pay another $230 for this salon that said they could do it in one sitting for $280 so I cancelled my other appointments and went to Blue Sparrow Salon instead. A MUCH better experience there.

I had scheduled a full wax. The only thing was I had gone in the week before for my eyebrows, so the wax was short and to the point and only touch-ups for the brows. The website said starting at $38 for a full wax. With already paying the $25.00 (plus tip) the week before, I figured it would be pretty close to the stated $38. No, try $20 more. I went home and I ended up plucking a lot of stuff that was missed and was full of mixed feelings. I would not have been so upset, if I did not have to end up fixing it myself. I have gone there before for services and never had a problem, and yes they are friendly, but this time, I walked out with a bad feeling. I felt that I paid too much for what I had done. I can not say I will recommend them to friends now. I am highly disappointed.

I went in as a first time customer for a cut and highlight. I had a coupon for a free cut. So, I got my cut and highlight (only got a partial because the stylist didnt ask if I wanted full or partial). I go to pay and it cost $115 for the highlight, as I mentioned I had a coupon for a free cut. I get home and go to pull part of my hair back and the stylist did not go to the root in several places, so it looked grown out. I paid $115 for a $50 highlight job. My friend went with me and had a different stylist with the same problem -- she didnt go to the root and her hair looked grown out an hour after she had it highlighted. Never going back.

My wife has gone here a couple times. The first time she told them she wanted to keep the length of her hair and her sylist, Priya, still took quite a bit off. My wife is very forgiving and gave them another chance. As you would expect, at her next visit she again stressed that she didnt want to lose any length beyond what was needed to keep the hair healthy. She took about four to five inches off! Yes, this place is known for the atmosphere and customer service, but what good is that if they dont listen and provvide the service you want. My wife would have written this review, but shes too upset with Brassfields right now.

I went in. Was amazed at how clean and crisp the salon is. I saw Mercedes. She was wonderful. I had super long and semi thick hair. We talked about how much length I wanted off and she pleased me with my hair cut and style. Alot of the times I go get my hair done the stylist takes too much length off. Mercedes didnt do anything of the sort. I went in again and saw Mercedes for a baylage we did a rose gold color. It turned out amazing. She did a wonderful job. I get compliments on my hair on the daily. I will be returning. I found my new stylist. I highly recommend brassfields for any bodys go to salon.
