I have a love/hate relationship with this post office. Im happy there is one in town because I dont trust my neighbors to not steal my mail. (Roy is such a fabulous place to live. Sigh.) But the service at this branch is questionable. There is one African American gentleman there who is all about his job and does it well and efficiently, hes even gone out of his way to help me select the proper size envelope for a package so I wouldnt have to over pay for the box I thought I needed. But the other two people I have a problem with. I dont know his name or anything, but there is one guy there with red hair and glasses who feels the need to chat up every single person he meets; thereby slowing the process down immensely. As someone with a disability (I have multiple sclerosis) who cannot stand for more than a couple minutes at a time, it is sheer hell to have to wait in his line as he learns the family history of every single person. There are no benches or chairs anywhere in the post office and I have nearly fallen several times and am usually on the verge of an asthma attack just from having to wait so long. The last time I was there the red haired guy told me I should get a walker or wheelchair. Um, thanks for the advice Dr. Post Office guy, but its none of your business and frankly, if you would just do your damn job instead of spending 2 hours talking to everyone, I wouldnt be have the problem to begin with. (I do, actually own both a walker and a wheelchair, but it is difficult for me to use either when I by myself, which again, is none of this guys business.) The girl there has a massive attitude problem. She is probably one of the rudest people I have ever met. I get a lot of packages. The people there know me and know my PO Box. One time, she demanded to see ID when I didnt have the yellow slip with me. I hadnt brought my wallet inside, so was distressed because I had never been asked for ID before and as previously mentioned dealing with going into the post office and waiting and then dealing with these people is a very stressful situation.) Had this request been made politely and had it been explained that this was a new policy or rule or something, I wouldnt have gotten upset. Instead, she yelled at me in front of several other customers that I was stupid to not be carrying my ID. Seriously??? I switched to the Mckenna post office for about a year at one point, but the location of that post office poses a bit of a challenge for me. Seriously, I just want to get my mail and not be bothered. I understand that customer service is difficult, as Ive had more than my share of customer service jobs. But this place is just nuts. Welcome to Redneckville.

There is one gentleman who is always at the front desk with glasses, very little strawberry blonde hair and older who is always rude. But my main complaint will go towards the "Post Master" as he said to me with his arms crossed and by far the worst tone I have ever heard. I sent my husband in twice to receive a package for me and though I had two packages they told me the one I was calling about was not there, though a woman I talked to on the phone said it was there. My husband went with the con# and our P.o. Box number to ask for it. Since he didnt receive it I decided to call just to ask, I started out nice but the "post masters tone grew impatient and rude and I am embarrassed to say I did not handle myself well and yelled that I would be down there and that he has a nice day. My first words to him in person were, " First I want to apologize for yelling on the phone." After that I explained I was not worried as much about my package as the way he took his tone over the phone. It was rude and dealt with unprofessionally, my words were not that short. I do admit I got angry because in person he continued to carry that tone, so while he was talking I interrupted his explanation with sarcastic wave of my package to show that it was there. Again not reason I came in. I came in to make him aware of the rude unprofessional way he was talking, needless to say he decided to make me cry and when he tried to talk again, which again with a rudeness behind it, I was already so overwhelmed and feeling so disrespected as a customer that I told him I didnt deserve to have to deal with that and that I was done, his response was to yell at me sarcastically that I have a nice day. I have never been rude or had an issue with anyone as I understand packages and such at the post office get misplaced , sent back and so forth, nothing to get worked up about. BUT KEN the over 6ft african american gentleman with the golfer hat was beyond rude and i hope he feels good at making a young woman cry . I was not a coward about my complaint, I took it to the person I specifically talked to and started the conversation with an apology and well mannered tone because I wanted to let him know so he could address it himself. I have worked in customer service for 12 years and I have never been treated so poorly.

All the reviews about amazon packages being delayed is true. I just got a P.O. box and my package was delivered this morning at 10am. I went in to pick it up at 11:30am and there was no slip in the box so I went to ask about it since I have never done this before. I was hastily told that it wasnt ready yet and to come back in the afternoon. I came back at 1:30pm (I live 2 minutes away and hate making phone calls) and sure enough no slip to pick it up in my box yet. The same woman was behind the counter and yelled to me while I was in line that it wasnt ready yet. I wanted to still talk to someone to ask if it will be ready today or if I should expect it to be ready another day and the lady snapped, seeing that I didnt leave after she told me it wasnt ready, "that you can talk to her then if you dont want to take my word for it." I kept my cool and just said okay. Unfortunately, the other woman was preoccupied with another woman upset with a $1000 order that got damaged by the post office, and so I had to talk to the rude employee. She at least went and talked to the back to see if I could just get my package since it was literally right in the back, and she came back with "See they say the same thing. You cant get it yet." I kept a cool tone and friendly face and just asked if I should expect it on Wednesday or if the end of the day was okay to come back and she said, "sure, or maybe even after we close since were so busy we might still be here." I felt like it was a lie so she wouldnt have to see me again today or something. Then she said, "Next!" and cut off our conversation to tend to the next person. I get that they were having a busy day, but that woman was blatantly disrespectful from the very beginning and I was not being rude, or even very pushy and I was treated pretty badly. I havent been disrespected by an employee from any establishment in a very long time so I was pretty surprised and very uncomfortable. Im not going to have my amazon packages shipped there anymore unless its something very expensive. Going through that again is not worth it. This place is incredibly slow, rude, and not even worth a 2 minute trip.
