My family and I were on a 6 hour car drive when, after a stop at a gas station, our engine started shuddering. With a minivan packed full of six people and a highly energetic dog we limped onto the highway and kept going. I told my dad that we should stop and get the check engine light checked out - he told me it would cost 170 dollars at a dealer, but as we drove through Madison I convinced him that most repair shops do it for free. So we drove to the most reputable and best rated shop in Madison - Apex.The car seemed to have fixed itself as we got nearer, but we pressed on. When we arrived my father went inside and came out almost immediately with Vadim, his diagnostic tool clutched in his grease stained fingers. Obviously he had been working on something else but came out into the crappy, cold, rainy day. Apparently, one of our cylinders had been misfiring. He gave us the error codes for later, cleared the light, and went back in, refusing any tips that my dad pressed on him. We piled back in and drove on, and as we left Madison behind I turned to my dad and told him he owed me 169 dollars. Thanks Vadim, I could not be more impressed with the service.

I bought a used Subaru Legacy from Apex. The car was in great shape and reasonably priced. When I was test driving it, the check engine light came on. Vadim ran his scan tool for me and we looked up what the code meant. It was an easy fix and he took that into consideration when I gave him an offer. They also gave me a legit and accurate car history report, which I cross referenced against the one that I had bought. The car needed an alignment quickly after I bought it. I returned it to Apex and they gave me a good deal. They also spent sometime trying to locate a squeak coming from the rear, and did not charge anything for labor. Vadim and his daughter will treat you well. Vadim can come off gruff but dont let that bother you.

I went to Irina at Apex with a dilemma - I knew what I wanted, but couldnt find it in the area without bending on some of my key points. She took my list - I knew the make and model, year range, mileage limits and my budget. And I had a list of features that I preferred, but were not deal-breakers. Not only did I get exactly what I wanted at a great price, I got all of my "features" and then some. Great car, great service, amazing all-around experience. My Maxima is without issue for the entire year Ive owned it, and Ive stayed with Apex for regular oil changes and maintenance too. Again, great service, great price!

After Meineke tried to rip me off, I decided to listen to a friends recommendation and go to Vadim. He not only fixed my car quickly and professionally, but even told me that half of the repairs Meineke told me I had to do--werent needed at all. He told me I could keep the parts I brought in and return them to get my money back. He also explained really well what was wrong with the car so I feel more educated and will know how to react in the future. I dont think I will ever go to another car repair shop in Madison; honesty is so rare to find in that business.

High quality, very professional, reacts fast to urgent repairs, honest prices, Vadim is someone you could trust.I had an overpriced experience at a repair shop on the West side of Madison, where i was pretty much ripped off for parts and cost of repair. Vadim is different, he gave me a quote for changing the timing belt and water pump, and kept his word even though he ended up spending more hours on the car.He was recommended to me by a friend, and i am happy i have found someone i can trust.

We bought a budget vehicle from Vadim. He told us upfront what its problems were and what we should expect to break down. These were the only problems we had with the car. Vadim was also very helpful and willing when it came to fixing the car, always explaining everything in detail, charging reasonable prices and taking minimal time. We were really glad to have a reliable and honest car mechanic! If any of us ever goes back to Madison, then Vadim will be the only choice for car services.

Went last week with a leak in the coolant, and the car overheating. They took it in immediately at 8 and all work, new water pump, new hoses, and other work unrelated to the coolant were done by noon. The price of the equipment was at cost and the labor was very reasonably priced. The next time the car needs worked on I will be bringing it back to Apex.

Highly Recommend Apex Auto for your repairs! Vadim is Reliable and a Honest Mechanic ! He has helped us with our repairs several times, each time he explains the problem and tells us what he will do to fix it! He also tells us what the cost of the repair will be and he is very fair on the parts and labor (Cheaper labor cost than most)

Totally got ripped off. Do not stand by their sales whatsoever. Motor burned out on a car we bought there-car had over 150k on it and he tried to make it sound like it was our fault. Took it to another mechanic and they said no way could what he said happened to it have been the reason the engine went. Will not go there ever again

Repairs were very affordable, fast, and fixed my cars problem. The mechanic did a great job targeting a problem that other mechanics couldnt resolve elsewhere. The service was also friendly.
