I have taken my cars to this shop for a very long time. Before Katrina, they were good people who did good work and I counted on them. After Katrina, I have brought my vehicles in for servicing, specifically stating oil changes, tire rotations, etc. and they always come back having checked some portion of the car that had nothing to do with what I asked and needing to fix some dire problem for over $500.00+. They reported an oil leak to me two years ago that no other mechanic on the coast can seem to find. They wanted over a grand to fix the non-existent problem. They said that my rotor was bad, no other mechanic could find that and when I took it back to tell them that, magically, after being in their shop for the day, my rotor went bad. I do not trust these people anymore. They lie about whats wrong with your car to increase the price tag, they do lack luster work if they do it at all and I am certain that they sabotaged my rotor in order to make the sale on maintenance. Do not take your car here. You will regret it.

Very disappointed. Was told I needed a clutch safety switch to solve the problem of the engine not starting. What raised a "red flag" was when a mechanic friend commented that the safety switch being bad would not cause the entire electrical system to fail. Three days and $136.00 later my new switch was installed. I had an electronics technician troubleshoot the old switch. He found it in working order. Needless to say I will be sharing my experience with family and friends.

This shop is overpriced for labor, and parts are 2 to 4 times higher than parts store retail (and Im sure Firestone pays less than retail). They do invent or inflate problems to scare you into spending money, and may not do the service they do perform correctly. Frankly, its easier, a whole lot cheaper, and much less stressful to fix it yourself.

Been coming here for many years for tires and basic care. Use another shop for primary repairs only. The staff is always helpful and not afraid to answer any questions or fully explain. This last time got a hundred bucks off tires. Wouldnt hesitate to come here again.
