I absolutely love this place but my recent experience has me feeling like I dont want to go back. I went in there for a simple oil change. My driver side inner door handle was loose and cracked but I managed to work with it because I could not afford to fix it at the moment. So Im sitting in the waiting area, waiting for my oil change to finish when the man at front desk tells me they broke my inner door handle and to fix it, it will cost me $80. At this point Im kind of mad because all I came for was a simple oil change and now something in my car that I was able to work with, even though it was partially broken, is now completely broken. So after a while I go back up to the man at the front desk and ask him if I can be accommodated in any way since it was one of their workers that completely broke it and I cant afford the fix it. Although I have 2 jobs I have to pay out of pocket for college. Now granted Im not greedy, if he would have said something like we can take off 10% I would have felt so much better even though that would have only taken $8 off. Instead he says no. I didnt get loud or yell, I kept calm. Then I went back to sit in the waiting area and wait until he calls me and tells me my oil change is done. This is the part that made me angry. The front desk guy knows Im not getting the work done on the handle because I can not afford the work, and after I have already paid for my oil change and Im getting ready to leave he jokes and says "guess its going to be a window opening kind of time," as in youre going to have to roll down your window and open it from the outside every time you want to get out your car. In what world is this funny?? To me its very rude and unproffessional. The first thing he should have said is sorry for the inconvienence or some sort of sorry... Right?? Or am I wrong? I feel like I was unaccomadated and a butt of a mean joke. As much as I like this place, I honestly dont want to go back. I have been going here for 2 years and this is the only place I have taken my car, but now I think I need to find somewhere else to go unfortunately.

Ok I have have done about 5 repairs done here on 2 different cars, one Honda and one Chevy. Every time Im genuinely surprised to see the bill, when its so reasonable, and so many garages and dealers are the opposite. Recently I had to get a tow for a blown fuel pump, and so I decided to try a place closer to my current home. When I saw what they quoted for the cost I was skeptical and went thru it with the mechanic at the other shop, making sure they knew I didnt need anything but the barebones replacement parts etc., and afterwards I called Baychar... 30 minute conversation (quoted cost less than half the other garage, about $800 less, even With generous labor time bc Baychar wasnt sure whether theyd need to drop the gas tank) and Baychar had their towing partner on the way over to the other shop to snatch my truck. Fuel pump was done over the weekend at Baychar, under their quoted cost. The guys who run the place are friendly and easy going on top of it all. I will NEVER go elsewhere in Milwaukee - THESE GUYS ROCK

This place is BY FAR the BEST car repair shop I have ever been to! I found out about this place through my family because my father, my grandma, my grandmas brother, my uncle, my cousin, and now my little sister all get their cars serviced here. The staff here are some of the kindest people Ive ever met! Always answer all of my questions and listen to all of my concerns on my vehicle. They get the work you need done on your car in a timely fashion and for an extremely fair price! I always ask for an estimate of how much I am going to pay for whatever it is I need to get done, and a few times theyve even got me down to less than what they originally quoted me! I should also note that I have been living in Chicago for the last 2 years now and STILL make sure to get my car serviced here! Im fortunate enough to have family in the area, but even if I didnt, this is still the only place I feel comfortable taking my car!

Avoid these guys at all costs. I had my car there for a coolant flush and they forgot to put a clamp on a hose. I was on the way up north and my car started smoking really bad. All the sudden I heard a pop and my engine stopped doing 90Mph on the freeway. I could have been killed. I had to wait for three hours to have my car towed to a dealership two hours away. I was freezing sitting at the side of the freeway. I hope they get their mechanics license taken away. Awful dirty place. I should have know better. Leo is a liar. He said they would charge me for the to repair my engine. They only would fix the hose and put coolant in it. Stay away.

I recently got my brakes done here, and the service provided was great! My previous car was a lemon, and I ended up getting ripped off for all sorts of repairs by various auto repair businesses (including Firestone). Baychar was a completely different experience. The technician explained what was wrong, provided information to make the best decision, and I was put in charge of making the decision instead of "insisting" repairs done. Labor is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place.

I have always had great experiences at Baychar. I always feel like I am being treated very respectfully and receiving straight forward and honest information about my repairs. I have never once had an issue getting an appointment and they are always very quick to check out my vehicle and repair it when necessary. I have never felt like they are trying to up sell me and have never received a quote for unnecessary repairs.

I spent some time going from shop to shop to find the right one until I found Joe and sons - theyre helpful guys who take the time to explain any problems, give you options, and go out of their way to make your auto repair as painless as possible.
