I really tried to like Tireplus. Theyve a great selection of tires under warranty and offer free rotations and inspections for tires purchased at their location. Sadly, however, the sales representative took advantage of an opportunity to fatten my bill while I waited for my new tires to be put on. Recently, I purchased new tires about $400. At the time, my vehicle happened to be under the same account as my mothers. Knowing this, I specifically told the sales rep. to call my number on the account when the work was completed; I even wrote my cell phone number on a piece of paper and handed it to the gentlemen. One hour later I received a call not from the sales rep, but my mother telling me my car was ready for pick-up. After returning to the store, Im handed a bill for approximately $900! The sales rep. tells me he called the first number on the account (my mothers) and was told it was "okay" to have my battery, spark plugs, and tire valve replaced. I was livid. After yelling at this idiot for five minutes about how I specifically told him to call ME for since it was MY car being worked and refusing to pay because I didnt approve of the additional "needed work", the sales rep.s only response was "...but, that was the first number on the account". Mind you, Tireplus knows my mother very well. She had been going there for years and being over-charged for simple work. The latest: $400 to replace a battery and four spark plugs. I felt completely taken advantage of. I tried reasoning with the manager, but he insisted I pay since the person on the account approved the work. I didnt pay. I trudged out of their store, never to return again. I dont know about the other Tireplus facilities, but the one on 27th has awful, sleazy service. Stay away.

Short version dont trust them, check ALL of their work. Pricetag $360 for 2 tires, oil change and them to lie & create a fluid leak & deny it. Brought car in for a power steering fluid flush as a preventative maintenance item, oil change, 2 new tires and rotation. Tires were not rotated as requested, before car was even started I checked their work as I had an 18 hr trip. The power steering had nothing visible in it. I inquired to staff passing by who flagged down another to "top it off". Upon pickup they noted a long long laundry list of things the car needed. Trying to be kind and not chew them out before I even checked under the hood. Id kept my mouth shut. Its now leaking a half quart of power steering fluid a day. I inquired if they could tighten where they drained it and before I barely finished my sentence their rep chimed in "you need a new rack, pump & hoses". Not to exclude they said it had an oil, power steering, coolant leaks. Yes its not a new car. But I check the fluids weekly if not monthly it never leaks or had leaked anything but a very slow oil leak maybe a quart every 2-3 months. Then they try to pull this deceitful ploy and not even rotate the tires? They either didnt tighten what they used to drain it or they broke something. Pricetag $360 for 2 tires, oil change and them to lie & create a fluid leak.

Inspect your car prior to it getting serviced, make sure you ask for a pre-inspection and inspect your car after service. Too many times when one is too many when I serviced a car here for something, just to come out with a new problem that was created by the Techs that do not know what they are doing, do not own up to it and it is very scary when a car service station has such low stars, never have I seen even a side garage ranked so low and with so low reviews and stars. The BBB and their Corporate-which is owned by Firestone, should be made aware of all issues clients experienced to fix up this location or close it down. It is not fair for customers who work hard for their money and entrust their car and money to end up getting either overcharged, new damage created by the techs, or face some of the many other listed concerning issues with this Tires Plus location which date even years and years back. It seems like nothing changes to the better and no one cares or is taking proper action to fix this location to do competent appropriate honest work satisfactory and fair to their customers, or at least have it shut down or a management oversight by Corporate and some better training on all levels.

I received careless service today! My car was just detailed yesterday- I still have plastic on my seats and even my own paper on the floor! When I get into my car, I notice the part you step over to get into the car (before the carpet starts) is black and dirty and there is a black heel print on my carpet (obviously missing the paper!). I then drive 40 miles south and pop the trunk to retrieve items only to see the carpet pulled back and the tail light completely unscrewed! I found the mechanics screwdriver and the bolts along the rim where the trunk closes. I put that back together myself, and drive on, only to realize that my blinker on that tail light is not working now either! The store gave me a quote for some work I need done and the parts they quoted me cost 3X what I am able to find online. I expected them to be a little more expensive than what I can find, but not 3X- why would I pay that much? Especially for something that apparently needs replacing frequently on my style of vehicle. Very frustrating experience today with this store!

The employees are friendly but they have their flaws. I went here to get 4 new tires and an alignment. We got called that is was ready and got the car. While still in the parking lot, my husband an I are looking at the receipt and we didnt get a copy of the alignment being done. So he goes inside to look for it and they DIDNT EVEN DO THE ALIGNMENT that we paid $84.99 for! We went back in furious and politely gave him the key and asked how long it was going to take and the associate helping us got rude and said "about half hour tops" and walked out of the room fast. I dont recommend this place to anyone. Last time I came here to fix a nail in my tire they couldnt find it and my husband had told them where it could be and supposedly they checked other ways to see where it was and nothing. So we told them again where it was because my husband saw it and the associate working on the car got mad and walked out. For the most part they are nice IN THE BEGINNING. But during and after, they are assholes.

I ended up with a flat tire on a Saturday afternoon. The map results showed that the Meineke on 27th St was the nearest open shop. But once we got there found the place to be closed. The next closest option was Farm and Fleet. Called them and they said that they do not have any appointments available before Tuesday. Called Tires Plus, and they said that although they have appointment booked, they will try to get it done before they leave at 6. I was overjoyed! Dropped the flat tire off at 2 PM and by 3 PM got a call from them saying that it is fixed. Went back and they replaced the spare tire with the repaired one, put on the hub cap and put the spare in the compartment inside the trunk. Saved the day for me. Courteous and helpful staff! Great customer service! Job done in a flash! Tires Plus has won me over! A special shoutout goes for Matthew!
