Fri., June 23 2017 My steering alignment was a little off and needed to be adjusted. Called the shop at 7:00 AM on 7/23 and had asked if it was possible to have the car looked at and fixed. Guy on the phone said no problem. He offered to take it right away and said he had nothing to do. Great, except I was at work. Told him I could bring it no problem, Ill bring it after work and they could get it done than. Offered to give my name and phone #. He wouldnt take it or schedule me in. Will only schedule appointments 24 hours ahead of schedule. Fine, understandable. Brought the car in at 3:00 PM. Man behind the counter taking care of me asked me what I wanted done, told him, started making excuses about when it could possibly be done / didnt want to really take my keys to get started. One of the owners from the back walked by and had asked, "Were you the one on the phone this morning?", answered yes and next thing you know the 2 guys exchange looks and I guess its now okay to take my car. Was asked if I really needing my car back tonight. Told them no if you had to work on it in the morning it was okay. Was told it was guaranteed to be done by 1 PM Saturday 7/24. So we go ahead with the wheel/steering alignment and a Summer Maintenance Package Deal. Saturday, June 24 2017 Phone rings bright and early on Saturday and was told that they will start working on my car. GREAT. 20-30 minutes later called back and was told the problem was ONLY the right control arm was a little bent and that will fix it and gave me a great quote of $230. WONDERFUL. 30-40 minutes later called back again and explained that my car is more complex than they thought and would take more than 10 hours to complete, the price now goes up to $2000 with labor because they think something is wrong with the other side as well. UMM... Okay. But dont worry, theres no need to fix that side. You can save $1368.26 and get the right side fixed where the problem is and everything will work. But.... dont forget the first phone call with a $230 bill has now gone up $568.26 with labor. Fine, I just need the cars alignment fixed by 1 PM like you promised on Friday. No problem he says. It is now 2:08 PM on Saturday, June 24 2017 Shop calls and says your car is ready and everything is good. Wonderful, great news. LIES! While at the counter paying Im now asked, "Did you ever have problems with these squiggly lights (the traction light) on your dashboard?". I tell him, the only time Ive ever had them come on is in the winter when its snowing outside. He replied, "Oh, our mechanic said he problems getting them go off after working on your car and had trouble getting the car to go above 40 mph." He said he took the car for a ride around the block and had no real issues. He didnt go that fast because he was only going 15-20 mph. I didnt think much of it. PROBLEM.... My car is literally undriveable. I cant go above 35 mph without the traction light flashing and beeping like crazy. If I go above 45 mph, tracking light starts flashing and beeping and.... MY ANTI-LOCK BRAKES KICK IN and start slowing my car down.

Absolutely Terrible!!! I brought my car in for inspection to them they informed me it needed brakes and rotors for the rear. I picked up my vehicle and the check engine light was on and the all wheel drive light along with the ABS light. So I went back in and dropped off the vehicle again. There were no lights on when I dropped the vehicle off so they looked at it and said they would let me know. 3 days later I called to find out what was going on and they said it was ready. They informed me they replaced the right front wheel hub. So I went and picked up the truck and parked it in my garage I live a mile away. I was out of town for a week came back and first time driving the vehicle all the lights that they supposedly fixed came right back on. So I finished my errands and brought the car back to Merlins and it sat for another 3 days. So I called Monday morning and they tell me I need the left front hub and bearing assembly replaced. After they just replaced the right one to get the lights to shut off supposedly. So now they want to charge me to fix this. Totally unacceptable for me as nothing was wrong with the vehicle before I brought it in for brakes. Now both front bearings and hubs need to be replaced. I wont ever go back here for any service. I will be filling complaints with the BBB and making a formal complaint. Save your money and go use a shop that is trustworthy. So I went to Merlin and spoke with the owner after my initial post. He is fixing this issue and I will be picking up my car today. Will update again if needed.

I had taken my 2007 Ford Edge to Merlins 19 months ago to have the brakes done, the same day I picked the vehicle up from Car max, they didnt fix my brakes properly. Then merlins again had to fix a leak in my racket pinion. Yes, I have Max Care warranty. Now on May 30 the alternator needed to be replaced, I immediately took the Ford to merlins. I asked them to go over this vehicle with a fine tooth comb, from head to toe. I only had this vehicle for 19 months and put around 10k miles on it and major things were going down. When they were waiting for Max Care to approve the repair of the alternator, they (merlins) found a leak in the transfer case. I had to call Max Care about that. Well, Gary and Brandon at merlins were working right with me to get the warranty company to approve new parts. Those guys were awesome!!! Even though I had to get mean and verbal with Max Care, merlins fixed my vehicle and I dont care what there labor is!! Those guys are straight forward and too the point. I will only take my vehicle to them to be fixed. They go above and beyond for there customers. They are the BEST!!! I will recommend them to others. Very rebuttal. Professional and courteous even though I can be a major pain. Thank you, Gary and Brandon!! You are very appreciated on getting me back on the road. You 2 are definitely an asset to Merlins.

Friday at 530pm I have an oil leak I bring it back to the place I had my oil changed a few days earlier and found out I have a hole in my oil coolant line that appeared magically after my oil change. I was planning a family vacation to leave friday. I called Merlins and they said they would look at it but not make any promises. They did not have the part but it was at another store. Bob went the extra mile.. let me borrow the store van to pick up my children..I had to place my car seats in their van. They stayed 1.5 hours after closing to finish my job so I could take my kids on vacation!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I made an appointment and they were at least 20 minutes late. My car needed an oil change and tire rotation. They didnt reset my computer and when I pointed it out, they couldnt figure out how to for 15 minutes. I had called prior to muy appointment to make due they knew how to do this. When I got home, I realized they didnt rotate my tires. I called and they said that they didnt rotate because the tread was so low and I should just buy new tires.
