Cant Thank Howard enough for taking care of my moms issues with her RV. A widow, who never worried about mechanical problems because Dad was s mechanic. I thought Dad was the only mechanic out there who was honest, fair & knowledgeable, a man of his word, Dad always went over and above the call of duty for his customers, to him, a handshake was as good back then as a binding contract is today. Those are all qualities that are hard to find in any business today. Amazingly enough there is B & H Auto Repair. Totally" old school" when it comes to customer care, integrity & woekmanship. Howard has taken care of many issues for Mom, including going through everything to make sure she had no issues for a planned trip she was to make to Iowa in this 32 RV, towing a vehicle and by herself. Which she did get there safely with no problems. After spending a few months in Iowa, she wanted a couple of new steer tires put on before heading home, at that time was told she needed brakes. She contacted the Winnebago factory up in Forest City, Iowa for a recommendation to have the work done & they recommended a Ford/Lincoln dealership up around the DesMoines area. After 1400. in repairs, she had more of a problem than she did to start with, she was on the road heading home to AZ. when she realized things werent right. She called them, (the dealership in Iowa) explaining the problem & was told to stop somewhere to have them looked at. She stopped at 3 different places on her way home, for one reason or another, they couldnt help her. Most people dont want to try to fix someone elses mistakes. Her final call to this Ford/Lincoln dealership (while enroute to home) was talking with the manager, fearing she was creating more problems to the RV driving it with these newly created brake issues & she was given the total run around by him ( the manager) Fortunately, she made it home safely & went right to Howard with it. He had spent a few days going over it (even though it appeared he had tons of work already) and found the problem(s) to be that of the way the work was performed at the dealership in Iowa. He, Howard himself contacted Mom & asked her if he could be the one to contact them so he could explain his findings & to try to get them to cover the cost of repairing them properly. Mom, being ever so greatful that he would take the time to do that (going over and beyond his call of duty to do this for her). Needless to say, thanks to this man, they (the dealership) was willing to take care of the bill, Mom now has dependable brakes & will be safe traveling in the future. I her, daughter, cant thank you enough to know she found an honest person & that will perform only what needs to be done, & done properly and charged fairly. Of course Mom thanks you to. Unless something happens on the road (God forbid) there is no need to go anywhere but B & H. Just one more thing, upon picking up the RV, it was noticed that one of the springs on her levelers had broke. Knowing that Mom lives in this RV, he told her to take it home and set it up so she can have her home back. He will order the part and will come to her to install it, so she dont have to disconnect everything again. What an Angel!

This shop continues to amaze me. I took my car in yesterday and I was told by another company that my struts were bad and the man told me it would be 1000.00bucks. But when I called them back to get the work done he gave me a price of 1500.00. Well needless to say I went and let my fingers do the walking and I came across B & H auto repair. You can read my first experience with this company, it was Awesome, but he even topped the first time so Howard took my car in and looked it over and said the problem Washington not the struts at all, It turns out that the sway bar links were bad. And the cost was 232.53 ,"Yeahhhh" he could have told me it was the struts and just fixed the links I wouldnt been able to tell. But he is a great guy, honest dependable, fair, this is a family ran business and his company will always make a profit because it is a honest and a man of his word and he will give you a very fair price and you wont leave his shop wondering what the heck did he fix or what did he charged you for. You will leave with a smile and a comfortable feeling that your car will run right and the parts are the right ones. He also told me that the last place who changed my oil left the filter loose, and thats why it was leaking They also gave me a ride home and came back and picked me up. So if you are like me and read the reviews well look no more this shop has your back and he will not slip all your cash out of your wallet its hard to find a shop that does anyone right. Fleachers is a rip off and a half they told me that they did work flushing some fluids and they didnt do nothing other than rip me off and sundevil shop on valvista and Broadway will take your life savings and not even blink a eye doing it they saw me coming. And a starter cost me 695.00 the part was 67 bucks and it was easy to get to I found all this out after the fact. So its quite refreshing to find B & H auto and Towing,he will be my go to man till I cant drive no more. Stop in and see for yourself and leave knowing that you have a nice trustworthy company under the hood of your car. Thank you guys for all your help and I will always recommend you to everyone who has a need for a great auto shop, He also does a 1year 24,000 mile warranty on parts and labor and it is in writing too!!! First time I went to replace a timing belt. They were good. That is, until I found a bottle of collant in my engine. Defintely not mine... Second time- Brought it in at 7:30am. They have a policy (pictured) that they will have it done by 6pm. They didnt follow that policy. They were not done with my car till 1pm the next day. I would hope they make a better effort keeping their customers informed. My call to them at 5pm (when they closed) was when they bothered to tell me my car wasnt ready and I wouldnt be getting it back till the next day. I dont know if they would have called me to tell me, but I do not believe they would have. I need clutch work done on my car, but I dont think Ill be going to them for the work. Basically: -Bad communication -Bad time line expectation 2008 Silver PT Cruiser. __________________________________________ EDIT: I recieved a call from the owner this evening because of this review. I greatly appreciate Howard for reaching out. We talked for over 15 minutes about my timing belt replacement, my issue, and then my clutch. He also had his reasons for the speed of work, construction and maintenance within the shop. I told him those reasons are perfectly acceptable, but the lack of communication was my biggest issue. He agreed it could have been better and apologized. He said that if he knew I needed my car, he would have put it back into working order and given it the day of. Howard is sincere and he has restored some of my faith in B & H. I will be scheduling a time for my clutch some time in the next few weeks to get it worked on.
