Ive been a member since 2009. When I first signed up at $50 month I was told by the sales man I would be locked in at that price forever. This is false, almost every year my membership has increased $1, Im up to $55 now - I wouldnt be shocked if it went up again. My father was with me and he was told people over a certain age would be charged more than me ( I think $60-70?), because statistics show that older individuals have job security and make more money. Im not sure how they get away with that? This gym has not added hardly any new weight lifting equipment since Ive been going. Instead theyve removed alot of machines I used on a regular basis. Almost all machines are pin loaded, so if youre like me and prefer plate loaded machines youll be disappointed. The machines are practically stacked right on each other. It can be frustrating when trying to do an excersise and you feel like youre going to hit the person next to you or you have to wait for them to move so you can un-rack/re-rack weights. Its amazing how huge this place looks on the outside but it feels so cramped on the inside. The free weight area is always congested and needs to be expanded. Ive been to some local and smaller commercial gyms and they have way more equipment and logistically spaced out. Which leads me to how packed this place gets. I avoid Lifetime anytime between 5am-10pm or else you wont be able to use the machines you want. Sometimes you get lucky around noon. Although, everything in Goodyear is generally crowded. I have absolutely no complaints about the staff, they seem friendly and on top of cleanliness. I hardly ever see any machines that are broken for longer than a week - if that. I feel like this gym is become more and more like a health club. They are slowly beginning to push out the hardcore crowd and usher in the family non-judgmental environment. If youre a bodybuilder, powerlifter etc. I would recommend going to Golds. Im about to jump ship like all the other guys did. Unless they change things.

This gym is great if you want a family fitness center. However, this gym has many flaws. For those of us that go to the gym to lift weights the gym setup can be frustrating. The equipment is piled on top of each other. The smith machines and two of the half racks are all setup directly in front of flat benches for chest. I dont know anyone that feels comfortable doing chest or legs (or whatever you are doing on a smith or half rack) within arms reach of each other. There are so many young kids, 11-13ish, that are always in the weight area. Some are trying to workout and others are filming their parents. Theres way too much cardio equipment and not enough free weights for the amount of people that go to this gym. Theres never room to do walking lunges of any sort. The free spaces are occupied and usually theres a sled that is in the way. This leaves you to attempt walking lunges in the walking path of the yoga classrooms. Theres a strange amount of groups that attend this gym too. Im all for gym support groups but not when there are groups of 4+ hanging around a piece of equipment. Im not even kidding, tonight there were 6 teens around the leg press. Be prepared for the massive amount of social media stars. Parents stroll through the halls on their phones while their kids run around blocking the hallway. The cafe is awful. My husband found a hair about 6 inches long in his food. Needless to say he lost his appetite. They have also steadily raised the price from $50 a month to $60 a month in the past year without notice. The one perk is that it is a 24 hour gym.

The facility is great great equipment amenities. Staff is ok to(most) however childcare sucks. To many kids minimum adults. My kid was "acting out and misbehaving" and was told to try slower times. So we did and then strangling some kid. Yet no adult saw it. My 3 year old knows where the only blind spot with the cameras are yet no adult can tell us what happened. So they ask other kids. Who dont know how they feel either. We told them we are canceling our membership and when we asked if we can get our month of money back since we were only 5 days in they said no and were also told that our kids will act this way anywhere and have the same problems. Guess what the new place we go to GREAT no issues staff loves them interacts with them arts and crafts everything. My 2&3 year old boys love it wirth ZERO problems at all and cant wait to see them. They always say how great the kids are and they are great helpers. So with that said great place if youre not a patent. We can now hey our full work out in workout getting called to the child care center every 5 min.

I have been a member of this gym since 2009. Our family loves it. We call it "the club" because its like an exclusive club where you can work out, relax and connect as a family. Its not all jogging on a treadmill. Once in a while my husband and I play racquetball then share a smoothie in the cafe while our kids are in the play center. My kids love to swim year round and have even taken the swim lessons offered at the gym. I didnt know how to swim either and took their adult class to prepare me for my first sprint triathlon. I have done so many different things at this gym. Lifetime is a great part of my life and I would recommend this club to anyone from kids to grand parents. Really something for everyone. // Reading some of the other posts, I do agree, you have to notify them 30 days in advance of any change. Canceling your membership, putting it on hold or even canceling a swim lesson. Ive been caught by that rule before. But now I know and make sure to plan ahead.

You get what you pay for, $59 a month isnt bad considering most of the time I never have to wait for any equipment when you work out before 4PM or after 7:30PM, and you get access to a ton of classes that range between Yoga, Zumba, Indoor Cycling, etc. LT Bucks seem like a redheaded stepchild, a trainer I used had no problem redeeming them for me to book several training sessions, but when time came to schedule those sessions all the sudden he had no free time. Seems like he would rather spend the time with someone who signed up for the $80/hour training session or signed up for his boot camp. Also, this place is super focused on upselling anything and everything they possibly can. From services, like a weight loss challenge, boot camp, to products that range from Hear Rate Monitors to Protein Powder. Granted, its great quality stuff, but you can get a similar product on Amazon for about half the price. Overall pretty happy with this place. Love the Yoga classes.

Signed up 6-7 months ago with Eric, paid the account set up fee and he said we can put our $116/month membership (me, wife and child) on hold anytime or cancel at no cost at all. NOT TRUE ! When I decided to put it on hold I was told there is $10/month fee for that and there is a 30 days notice required. .so they will charge me for one more month before I can do the change or cancel.I walked over to Erics office to ask him about all this and ofcourse he cant remember, but he is sure he informed us about all policies. .In fact we (2 adults talking with him) both remember asking him about hold and cancellation, knowing that with our schedule we may not be able to use enough this very expensive membership. Im paying for my mistake, for not taking the time and go over the paperwork and fine print, so keep in mind, dont trust the salesman! Nice place, but very disappointed with "sales". Cancelled.
