I hate that I have to resort to this type of solution, especially when the relationship with this company started off positive. Unfortunately, that all changed when it came the time for me to prepare for my move out of the storage facility. I had to reschedule my entire day and spend extra money on a truck because of their failure to communicate. When I tried to discuss this, I was dismissed and given little to no help. I tried to be reasonable, as their failure to communicate construction plans was not my fault, nor my problem and asked to be reimbursed due to the fact that this information was not communicated through any communication channels, other than a sign posted on the keypad entrance of the storage unit location. Not everyone comes to their storage unit frequently, and I cant imagine that I would be the only person that ran into this problem, this last week. I know that they have my e-mail, phone number and address. In this day in age who doesnt send an e-mail as a "preferred" communication method? To further add to that, why would you schedule repairs on the weekend? Dont most humans move on the weekends, last I checked yup! I was told when I called that my option was to, and only that day otherwise I had to wait until Monday, which I had movers scheduled that Saturday. I was told that I could physically remove each item from my storage on foot, through the main entrance ONLY during office hours. I dont know about you, but its a storage unit and that would have been at least 15-20 trips. I was not happy with this solution, therefore I called back and only after I explained how it was their failure to communicate through all proper communication channels their construction plans that have been in place for a month and a half was I told that I could rent a truck, but I would have to get everything out in one load. When this was communicated to me, it was not professional, and it was obvious that it came out in frustration, and anger towards my dissatisfaction with their company. Mind you this was end of July, and at about 3pm in the afternoon I was not planning to have move my things out of storage that day so I could make sure it was accessible to my movers on moving day. Otherwise I would have to not only pay for the truck, and move it myself which is why I hired movers in the first place, I would have to hire movers again and incur additional expenses and delay my move. I asked to be reimbursed the additional monies I was out for having to rent a truck, and I was told no! The reasoning provided was unjust as it was again thrown in my face that they had this construction planned for a long time. Dismissing everything I just said about their failure to communicate. Therefore this is why Im writing this review, because I find this to be completely unreasonable, and I feel people have a right to know of their said practices, as they apparently do not have the integrity to take ownership that they were in the wrong, and do the right thing. Furthermore, I will make sure that this is posted among all social media sites. Id like to save others from going through the same stressful and inexcusable experience. Do not use this facility!! Update 3/2017 never got my money back mind you it was $50. I was hung up on multiple times as well as the party I spoke with was extremely condescending. All I got from them was a lousy pat on the back that due to my complaint and experience theyre now sending emails. Welcome to the 21st century, freakin frittatas!!
