Laura Gilbert, "membership director," insulted me and was very disrespectful, unprofessional and rude on tour. SHe has no knowledge of fitness training and nutrition nonetheless. When I saw her a second time she did not greet me. Would never pay their ridiculous fees to start a membership. Ive worked in almost every gym type in the U.S. as a fitness expert and this gym is nothing more than a bunch of doctor scumbags that want to brag they pay a higher fee for very slightly better service; yett the same amenities as most gyms.....steam room, lockers, showers and illegal immigrant employees paid garbage wages to clean; that dont speak the national language. Straight trash. their start up fee is 700-900$ down payment. Its a clown show, so some scumbag attorneys and dumbass m.d.s can brag that they are a member at "the village." service at the front desk is sub par too.

This place is pricey and it is probably more of a country club than a gym, and thats a negative for some, but not for me. I love the amenities, I love the environment, the staff are always very welcoming and helpful, the cardio and weights are everything I need (granted Im not an Olympic weightlifter) and the shower, steam, sauna, hot tub and ice bath are the perfect way to wind down a workout. I have tried a few of the yoga and spin classes and enjoy those as well. Great basketball, tennis, racquetball, squash, and pool facilities as well. And you cant beat the setting at the base of Camelback. Again, its not cheap and its not for everyone, but the Village is far and away my favorite spot for an enjoyable workout in the Phoenix area. Highly recommend.

This is the premier club in the metroplitan phoenix area, not just for the ammenities but also for the staff. Not once has anything gone unattended, unresolved or unappreciated. The service is excellent. The entire facility is clean at all times. Childcare is exceptional as are the youth programs. Tennis lovers should consider The Village as their home. All levels play on a regular basis, and players are friendly / welcoming of everyone. Although, it may take a few weeks to find your pool of equal level players. The squash / racketball programs are top notch. The Village on Camelback is one-of-a-kind. Its got everything youre looking for in a health / racket club!

very happy with decision for our family to join the Village. Theres definitely great facilities, lots of top talent for racket sport enthusiasts, and have met plenty of nice people there. If you are a young family, the icing on the cake is their child care offerings. They are really great, especially their infant care services. You can feel very comfortable leaving your baby with them while you get that all important workout in. Piece of mind is crucial!

Not sure how anyone can not like this place! I feel like I am being treated to a Spa Day, even when I go in to workout or run the indoor track. Everyone is always really friendly. What keeps me coming back (and paying the crazy membership fees) is how kid-friendly they are. So many activities for my 9 year old and my 1 year old. Plenty of classes on the schedule for me and most of their teachers are great. If you have the $$, join this place... now!

CLEAN & WORTH THE MONEY!!! This is the best place in town to workout. If you are just looking for a place to run on a treadmill and do some light lifting this may not be worth the money for you. If youre looking for a CLEAN locker room, basketball courts, tennis courts, racquetball, indoor track, lap pool, yoga, pilates, spin class and so much more than this is the place for you.

I just joined this place as my friends are members and its lovely. If I could spend every day here I would. I am trying to get fit playing squash and hope to gain more energy from my activity. Not too expensive I think

Nice facility but way too expensive. Customer service when you cancel membership leaves a lot to be desired too.

The staff is helpful at getting everything settled. The zumba teacher can be very positive, even if youre new!

I liked it until membership department employee "Kimber" totally offended me with racist remark.
