Dale and his team are excellent mechanics. But more importantly, they are wonderful human beings. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I originally came to fairway for help with a malfunctioning power window. Dale was friendly and immediately attentive, and even did his best to get the job done before I had to leave on a flight the next day. He called me to explain every decision he made about the window; I felt like a partner in the repair of my car rather than a customer. I was informed on exactly what Fairway was doing and why. The window was fixed- better than it had ever been, and for a reasonable price. But heres where the story gets good: I drove my girlfriends car to Fairway to pick up my newly repaired automobile. In fairways parking lot, a small bus was being test driven, pulling forward and back, forward and back. As we came into the parking lot it was pulling forward, and as we were turning into a parking spot it started going back. As I was unfamiliar with the car I was driving, it took me a minute too long to get it into reverse - and the back of the bus collided with our bumper. My girlfriends car now had a big ugly dent on it. I went to get my keys from Dale, shaken and worrying that this trip was going to take a turn for the worst, becoming antagonistic and complicated. I didnt want to have to start trading blame or insurance. I kind of figured that the day was going to end badly. I was wrong. Dales response: "Hey, well get it fixed. Take it across the street to this shop, tell them Dale sent you. Theyll do a good job. Ill foot the bill." There were many ways this story could have ended badly. However, it turned out the best way possible, and all because Dale is a great, honest guy. He didnt have to help us get the car fixed. He didnt have to help pay for an expensive, high-quality repair. And he certainly didnt have to be cheery and pleasant throughout the whole process. But he did, and he was. Therefore, I HIGHLY recommend Fairway, for two reasons: 1) the repair work was done excellently, and for a fair price. 2) The costumer service was some of the best I have ever gotten, anywhere. People as honest and helpful as Dale are few and far between.

This is the ONLY place Ill go to have my cars repaired. I even moved to the other side of the valley and I will still ONLY take my car to Fairway. I had my first experience with them after another shop tried to scam me into a new engine, and then tried to buy my car off of me for pennies on the dollar when the price of that exceeded the value of my car. Instead I had it towed to Fairway based off the positive reviews. It took Fairway less than 2 minutes to determine that my timing chain hadnt in fact broken like the previous shop claimed and it took a couple hundred dollars to repair the real problem. I went back to Fairway much later down the road when the same car was having problems left and right. The car sat parked in my garage for multiple years with no use at all. After a thorough diagnostic Fairway couldnt find any problems even though the car was almost impossible to start and ran horribly when it did. What Dale thought was that the car simply needed to be driven. He didnt want me to spend more money with him trying to find a problem until I drove the car regularly for a couple weeks. Sure enough..the car runs like a dream now and it didnt cost me a penny. A true honest mechanic! He could have charged me an arm and a leg like most shops would have but instead he gave me his honest opinion even if that meant turning my money away. Cant say enough good things about Fairway auto. Great shop, great employees, great ownership. Not to mention Dale is about the friendliest person Ive ever met. He even calls weeks/months/years down the road to check and see how things are going.

I went to Fairway Auto for the first time last Friday as I thought my AC was not running properly. Dale was ready to go and assigned one of his techs (I think it was Max) to inspect my vehicle. Almost 45 minutes later after looking over my entire vehicle as it was running Dale told me he could not find anything wrong. While the car was running the tech looked over the entire vehicle and inspected tires, fluid levels, brakes, etc. I certainly appreciated all the time they spent looking at my vehicle and providing me with such a comprehensive report on the condition. I also appreciate the fact he did not try and sell me un-needed service or parts. When I went to pay the bill he said there was not one as he did not do anything. In the 35+ years of having my vehicles (or anything else for that matter) I have never been told that so needless to say I was shocked. This facility was extremely clean and well orgainized. Dale made me feel like my car was the only one there and took his time going over everything with me. Dale has won me and my family and anyone that ever asks me where to take a car over as he is a class act. While there I saw three other customers come in and get service or pay for service and everyone was nice and were extremely happy with what Dale did. Some of those people had large repair bills and they never questioned anything. Thanks Dale!!!

Do not I repeat to do not go to fairway auto, overpriced and incorreclty diagnosed my car issue 2x. The first time Dale talked a big game and said a decarb on my engine, and changing the plugs, would be fine I reported to him my car was stalling out, it turned out to be the starter all along which I diagnosed by hiiting the cylinder and which I changed myself. The second time I took it in was for violent shaking he incorreclty diagnosed the spark plug wires and said this will fix it Sal, but low and behold 1 mile later the car is shaking again after he replaced the wires, literally 1 mile!!!! Then I took it back and he said its a fuel injector that needs to be replaced at least 300 dollars, and then he had the audacity to try to upsell on cleaning the injectors, cleaning headlights, and other unecessary maintenance for a car which has no value. Dale talks a big game but he doesnt walk one. Trust me in this review-diagnose the car at autozone yourself if you get a check engine light, due your diligence, and get it fixed right, dont get scammed by slick talking mechanics, trust me youll pay like I did.

Have been lucky to be going to Fairway since shortly after I moved to Phoenix 9 years and 3 vehicles later I wouldnt EVER take my car to another random place or heaven forbid - a dealership - again. Just had the misfortune of having someone crash into my car, auto body repair place sent my car to the dealer for repairs they couldnt figure out - 6 times total! Much work later and car still rattling (after the brakes literally FELL OFF the vehicle when I got it home (!) I took the then "repaired" car to Dale to find out why it was still rattling loudly on move. Turns out when the brakes fell off, the people at the dealership replaced the brakes -- and left the old pads sliding around under my car! Amazing! That and the fact that I can call them at any time - and have - with questions about my vehicle and they will do their best to answer them even as Im driving upstate on a Friday afternoon towing my RV. Definitely great personal service that you can count on to be HONEST and fair.
