Ill start by saying I dont write many reviews... So to write one, I feel pretty passionate about this service! Im sitting in the air conditioned lobby (writing my review while I wait) after having my car quickly diagnosed after my check engine light came on during my drive from from California to Arizona. These guys are quick! They explained to me the issue and the remedy, told me what I will owe. Joe was able to find the issue and figure out the part they needed to order. Damen contacted a nearby supplier that had the part I needed, and after being told it would take over 20 minutes, he decided to drive and pick up the part from the shop himself! When he returned with the part, Joe installed it, I paid for it, and was out of the lot in record time. AND he ended up saving me money! We got pretty lucky we landed in this area - friendly, reliable service. I hope nothing else goes wrong with my car, but if something does, and Im in the downtown Phoenix area, I hope its some where around here.

GearHead has been servicing my commercial fleet for my home theater installation business for over a month now. I met Joe Woodmansee, the owner of the auto shop, at a networking group in phoenix. I could tell immediately that Joe was a auto care professional that made it his personal commitment to provide honest, quality service. I started using GearHead to service my personal vehicle as well as my commercial installation vans for my home theater business. I am extremely confident that my car is going to continue to run smooth, and I will never have to worry about one of my installers being late for a job due to vehicle problems. Vehicle maintenance is not an expense, its an investment especially for businesses. The amount of years added to the end of your cars life will more than pay for itself. I recommend GearHead Auto Center to anyone looking for quality and honest service at a more than fair price.

Ive used Gearhead on a couple of my vehicles. Im a car guy and do a lot of my own work, but mostly I work on older vehicles. Modern electronics can be very fussy and you often need specialized equipment do do the work, and its particularly great to have someone to take my wifes car to that I can trust. Another nice part about Gearhead is that they take the time to do a thorough diagnosis. A lot of independent shops will just throw parts at a problem to "fix" it -- resulting in more trips to the shop until they finally fix the real problem. That makes more money for the shop at the customers expense. Gearhead is not like that and they will take the time to explain to you the system, the problem and the solution. Plus, theyre not a big franchise -- just a family owned shop that makes you part of the family.

This is my first time writing a review on google and this establishment deserves the 5 stars. I had my vehicle broken into and the individual ruined the ignition to where I could not start my vehicle. I had to find an auto shop that is close and determined this is the place by the promising reviews and I was not disappointed. I was concerned the individuals would return and attempt to take the vehicle the same day because I could not move it. The owners stayed well past their closing time and waited for the towing company to deliver my vehicle and followed up with a phone call. The owners of this company are fantastic and I appreciate their work ethic. I will be returning to this place and will no doubt refer their services to others. Keep up the good work!

I take all 3 of my vehicles to GearHead for the maintenance or repairs that I cannot perform at home. Joe and Josh provide excellent customer service and provide their skill at a very fair rate. One of the vehicles I own is a 1994 Toyota Landcruiser with over 250K miles. The legendary FJ80. It recently became my daily driver as I have put my previous DD up for sale. Joe and Josh help me keep this beast in tip-top shape, despite the repair snafus the previous owner has gotten me into. I believe that with their mechanical know-how, I will easily get over 400,000 miles out of that beast. I cannot recommend this shop enough. 5 out of 5, 10 out of 10, 2 thumbs up. If you need repair or maintenance work done to your vehicle, take it to GearHead.

I had never heard of or been to Gearhead Auto before a buisness associate of mine recommended them when I started having car trouble 3 days ago. Im always leary & skeptical of trying new auto places cause of their reputation for scamming & ripping you off for their own personal gain. After meeting & talking with Joe & his girlfriend Charlie who works with him and especially after hearing his story, they seem to be very honest, professional, & stand up people when it comes to business. Joe was fair, straightforward, & upfront with everything I needed to know. I would recommend Joe at Gearhead Auto to anyone whos looking for a mechanic they can trust & rely on.

Joe has consistently gone above and beyond to help with my 97 Volvo, he is completely fair in his practice and truly only wants the best for you and your car. Unfortunately my car has quit on me, and Joe was there to walk me through what the problem was and the pricing for the repair. Then offering to answer any questions I had on new cars to purchase, to ensure I would be making a right choice on a new one. A few weeks ago my car broke down right next to this wonderful family friendly auto shop run by a father and his sons. they were all really nice and the manager even walked around the corner with me in the Arizona summer sun to help figure out what was wrong, luckily it was only a toasted battery but im glad these guys were there to help. ill be taking my cars there from now on and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone for quick and easy friendly auto care.

A+ service that really makes u feel confident in what is being repaired ,is rarely said for a repair shop... GO HERE! This place is such a breath of fresh air! Very honest service and excellent customer service. The owner, Joe, will take his time to go over things with you. Actually came here because of the reviews and what everyone is saying is true. Very kind and professional owners. Joe was extremely knowledgeable about the car issue we were having and was able to fix it in very reasonable time even with the difference in schedules. Great energy and very trustworthy establishment that I would highly recommend.
