They delivered a package of mine to the wrong address. When I called bc I hadnt received said package, they told me theyd check the mailbox it was delivered to and if it was still there theyd place it in mine in a couple days... Meanwhile I called 9 days after said package was delivered to the wrong address. When I asked the employee what I should do next he told me nothing that they would look into and knock on the persons door. When I asked what they would do next he said there isnt anything else they can do. So I asked if I should file a police report since whoever they delivered the package to didnt return it (since it wasnt theirs) they said no dont call the police, I said well they stole my mail, he said no the person didnt steal it bc they didnt walk onto my property and take it.... Im pretty sure if mail has someone elses name on it and you didnt pay for it than its not yours, if you keep it thats called stealing. He kept telling me not to report it. And when I asked why it was placed in a mailbox that didnt have my name on it in the first place he told me that carriers dont look at names before delivering. Isnt that their one job? Deliver the right mail to the right people?

This is the worst Post Office in the United States of America. They do not answer their phone, deliver packages as required, or have carriers that even know the hours of operation, the cards they leave for you when they are supposed to leave your package dont even have correct hours of operation on them. I have had this post office empty my mailbox (They thought I was a foreclosed house address), leave me a notice to pick up my mail at the post office (times not accurate) and then when I did (the very next day) tell me it had been "destroyed." Really, is that even "legal?" The most recent infringement was their failure to route and deliver a basic package. I needed another post office to contact them to get any reply or resolution and it took the other post office two hours to get back to me with a resolution because they couldnt reach them either!. At the post office it is disorganized, dirty and the clerks are rude. This place should be closed as it is an embarrassment to the community and any code of Federal Service. Its practically closed now what with their inconvenient hours of crappy operation. Save yourself the headache and use the Sorting center on Van Buren instead.

You would think the main requirement of being a postal worker, besides having a pulse, would be the ability to read a name and address. For some reason, this basic skill eludes the employees of this specific office. We constantly receive mail which is not ours, do not receive mail that is ours, and get packages which are crammed and stuck in the postal boxes that would be clearly evident to a child learning shapes that the package is too big for the box to fit in. Perhaps this is what makes the employees of this office special: the ability to fit round pegs in square holes, because its certainly not the ability to answer a phone. Im sure someone is sitting in that post office wondering what the damn ringing they keep hearing is all about but probably consider it a medical issue along with all the other problems they have. If your only purpose is to get mail from your facility to a specific address which is clearly identified on said package, and you fail at it consistently, then that takes a special kind of stupid.

The front end women are all rude and condescending. Somme of them even lie telling customers that they are required to fill out additional forms! I verified that those forms weren’t required at the distribution center at 4949 E Van Buren. My mail has been stolen by a carrier on multiple occasions (verified). They never answer their phone. Bulk pre-sorted mail is often delivered late even though it is literally brought to them in bin that are just put in the back of another truck and dropped off on location. No sorting, no taking SOME mail out. They get a bin off one truck, it goes to the carrier, and the carrier puts it in the back of their truck, and drops the bin off at a mail box store. THAT SIMPLE. Yet they continue to be later and later in the day. The post office supervisor blames heavy mail (that is pre-sorted and put in bins before it gets to your station?). The supervisor doesn’t resolve any of the issues. This post office branch is the worst and they all need to be fired!

The lovely mail carrier delivered a package and placed inside a parcel locker without leaving the key on Friday. I assumed it was left in my apartment office. On Monday, no package was left inside my apartment office. Made contact with a worker in the postal office who assured me they will make contact with the current mailman to leave the parcel key or check the box. Needless to say, that did not happen. Make contact for the 2nd time and the lady assure me she will have the mailman return to the location and guarantee a callback. Again, needless to say? That as well did not happen. So here it is Tuesday, no package, no key and no call back! So I made contact again to file a complaint on the mailman from Friday and the fabulous facility workers on Monday. Anna (supervisor) was pretending to be very helpful, until I noticed I was the one who continuously kept making contact and then when I asked for someone above her, she became very rude and chose not to deal with me.

I went to this location because its near my house but unfortunately I had a bad experience. The doors were open, people were in there still, and the guy workng there approaches us and asks how he can help us today. I said I just needed to purchase a stamp He said this location is open until 4:30, dumb founded I looked at him and asked what time it was, he said 4:35. I then replied with So youre closed? He proceeded to explain to me that they had a time frame in which they as employees needed to get thigs done. I completely understand that but if you can stand there you could have locked the doors or let me know they were closed. Made no sense at all. This is why post office employees get bad names. . Rude! !

After reading the many horrible reviews on this site I went fully prepared to be disappointed along with everyone else. My experience was completely unexpected. I was the next person in line, I waited possibly 3 seconds. I thought to myself well that has to be the end of my good luck but I was wrong about that as well. I was helped by a very friendly lady (wish I would have gotten her name). She took her time asked all th appropriate questions about the package I was shipping and even took her time to bring me all the different types of stamps they sell so that my correspondence from work does not look unprofessional. I had a great experience and will not hesitate to use this facility again.

This is the place where in training they show other Post Office workers how to do everything WRONG and is the perfect example of why we should not have government run healthcare. The people there are horrible. Its like every single customer has personally insulted every employee and they are holding that grudge from the second you walk in to the second they can be done with you. Dont expect to get any boxes you ordered as they routinely put the package in the wrong box. Its a joke in my neighborhood that we all know each other because we go to their houses to give them their mail that was in the wrong box. Even look at their seats on the wall. The last one was in early 2000.
