On Saturday, the automated stamp machine in the lobby malfunctioned, and despite charging me for three 47-cent stamps, did not print any at all (really: multiple people, including USPS employees, inserted their arms into the output slots up to their armpits, but to no avail). Now I understand that machines can--and do--malfunction. Thats not really what bothered me. What got my goat was that the Delivery Supervisor began demanding my name and address, and upon my protests that I didnt really want to leave those behind, but just wanted my three stamps, then claimed that I couldnt get them. Really? The USPS is not able to give me three stamps that I had already paid for??? Does the Post Office really not have three stamps they could hand over to me? According to Mr. C.B., Delivery Supervisor, that is indeed true. He needed my address so he could "courier" the stamps out to my home for hand delivery. Again, I protested; by the time the stamps would get to me, it would be too late to post the letter until Monday. Well, guess what. Its Monday afternoon, more than 48 hours after the malfunction incident, and I still do not have the stamps. Chip, whats the deal?

The US State Department lists this facility as a designated passport application facility, but you have to make an appointment and can only do so by calling a specific number. After 20 minutes of busy signal, I finally get a ringing sound. And it rang and rang and rang. After about 20-25 rings, it just drops you. So, I did this one after another, 15 times, over the course of 30 minutes. One time it picked up and they hung up without saying anything. When a man finally did answer, I told him "I am looking to get an appointment for a passport for..." and was then interrupted with a rather curt and snippy "Were not taking anymore appointments. Were booked until January 20th." Nothing past that. No recommendation. Nothing. I hung up. Given the other reviews here, the tone and manner seem to be a theme. I called the Glendale Post Office who picked up, was very nice, and although couldnt make an appointment by the time I needed it, recommended how I could get it much sooner. Too bad I cant give this place negative stars, and am forced to give one. Wonder if anyone with the US Postmaster Generals office or the State Dept would ever look at these reviews and do something.

I was at a dental appointment when the post office attempted to deliver my husbands cremation remains. I took the card down to the post office to claim the parcel and they said it wouldnt be available until tomorrow even though the card said today. When I told them what the parcel contained they immediately searched for it. I learned that the route supervisor had attempted to make the delivery in person and when I wasnt home, made sure the parcel got back to the post office for pickup right away. I so appreciate the kindness I was shown by the post office staff and my carriers supervisor. Also, I recently moved to a different Sun City location and the postman I had at my old location was wonderful. He knew his customers! Yes, occasionally mail gets delivered to the wrong address but considering the sheer volume the post office deals with Ive always found the low error rate to be impressively low. Every one Ive ever dealt with at this post office location has been courteous and friendly. I love my local post office and the carriers who serve Sun City residents

This post office has to have the worst service (delivery people) than the rest of the USA. Delivery personnel have lost a card sent from California in May of this year ... never received. Just today checking a small package that was said to have been delivered 9/17/15 - never received ... heaven only knows where it was delivered . this one involved a costly package. You can never get a hold of anyone on the phone at the Bell Rd. facility. Right now I dont even believe we have a permanent delivery person ... this has been going on for years where we always have substitutes. For the amount of money and benefits these folks get, they should be putting a little more effort in their jobs & should be happy to have a job with so many out of work. They are not reading the addresses or names on the letters and packages ... otherwise things wouldnt get lost. Ill be filing a claim for the lost package.

My husband and I never had a problem with any USPS offices before and we had our bad experience here. My husband and I were at the post office today around 14:00 pm. My husband asked if he could exchanged his old stamps that were jumble up, one to another and got a bad response with a bad attitude. If only she responded in a good attitude, my husband would not be upset. Then, as we were waiting for her to check something for us at the back office, another lady behind us who was wearing the post office uniform asked us whether we finished or not. Wait a minute.!..we were still waiting for the lady with the attitude to finish checking something for us.Thats it!! We know it is Friday and we know it is hot in AZ, but please have a better attitude and service. Just a an advise from your customer, please be a bit humble that you have a job because you have customers.

I sent a package out of this location on Saturday December 10th. It was supposed to arrive in New York a week later on the 17th. Yesterday on the 13th the mail carrier delivered my package back to me. The tape keeping the box closed was torn off along with the mailing address. The package was rummaged through and bubble wrap was taken off the item I was sending out. I questioned the mail man who delivered it and he said "I honestly have no idea why they would even send it back to you like this". I am so disappointed, I feel if you pay the outrageous price of $55 to send a package it should be handled with care and not thrown around like a piece of garbage. I will NEVER be returning here and will be using UPS for now on.

Unfortunately there is no option to give them zero stars because thasts my true review. Each experience at this location is worse then the one before it. The reason people go to a post office is because their need requires more than a stamp on an envelope. Im sorry Ive never worked at a post office, Ive never mailed anything internationally or renewed a passport. Your employees were nothing but rude to me as I experienced these firsts this year. Each time I left and did business elsewhere. Never again will I visit this location. I would rather spend time and drive out if my way for a positive customer service experience.

Have yet to visit in person. I have been on hold for 23 min. and counting. It took 3 min. of ringing for a postal worker to answer. She transferred me and here I sit, waiting. I need a passport. All I wanted was to know what the hours were. Hopefully we can have the US Postal system shut down, Its usless and ALL the employees are garbage who do not deserve the over inflated pay checks they get. Private carriers offer better service all around. UPDATE: 37 min. on hold. I called back, the phone was picked up and then hung up. When I tried to call back, I got a busy signal.
