The carrier that usually services this apartment complex is rude, actually Im not sure its the same guy anymore my job takes me out of town and when I get back sometimes I have no mail I asked him one time why not leave it in there and he said after ten days he takes out back to post office I said you cant take out of my box, he said he could because the post office owns all mailboxes, I said you didnt pay for the freaking thing, he said that didnt matter and I should check the post office because they hold it there. So thats what I did and low and behold they didnt have it either, so I missed getting some stuff from the IRS and had a hell of a time straightening things out. I then taped a note inside the mailbox that said my job took me out of town sometimes to please not throw my mail away, if its full you can throw the junk mail flyers away but not addressed mail this should leave plenty of room, and when I came home the note was ripped out and no mail in the box, I looked in the trash can by the boxes and there was the note but no mail. So I went back to the post office and they didnt have my mail again, I asked them how to get the supermarket papers and other crap to stop coming and they said that its not possible, I said well tell the carrier not to rip out the note I put in and they said he had every right to. So I got a p.o. box a large one and asked them to put a note on their side of the boxsaying leave mail in here they said they wwould but I still have stuff being thrown out. The counter people have always been nice tho.

I had sent 2 large envelopes to my daughter at ASU in Nov. & Dec. of 2015. Totally my fault that there wasnt enough postage (they were only going across town so dropped them in a mailbox for delivery). Well, they left pink slips for my daughter that they could be pick up at the window of Tempe Apache Station. I called and wanted to pay the postage over the phone so they could be re-delivered, Nope cant do that, they have to be picked up (they told me they would remain at the location till they were picked up). Well, we did go to pick them up and guess what? We were told that they did not have the envelopes! Where are they? Oh, they might have been returned to sender (they were not, it is now mid-January and I have received nothing. If there was postage due, why would you even attempt to return to sender). The Post Office, you can always submit an inquiry to see where they are. Really? Because you dont want to look for the envelopes? Your location said they would remain there until they were claimed. I did submit an inquiry but this is the most difficult post office to work with. I tried everything to be able to pay the postage due and couldnt. Very unfortunate when the post office location is supposed to service the college students. If the envelopes are lost, I am out $$ because all college students need a little cash now and then. Thanks Tempe Apache Station, you are awesome! (not)

So yesterday I went in to get a refund for a priority shipping fee. The employees there at the time did not know how to give a refund so they asked me to come in the next day so that their manager, who wasnt in at the time could get me my refund. They were nice and apologetic and I wasnt in any rush so I agreed to come back the next day. When I came in the next day the employee that had helped me the day before got the manager from the back office out to help me. She was unfriendly. She didnt look at me, she didnt say anything to me and I stood in front of the counter for a long while all for her to eventually just tell me "oh I cant do it". I was then directed to go to a different location. When I arrived at the mill location I was greeted with a smile and was given my refund quickly with ease by a regular employee. I shouldnt have to go through a two day long process to get a refund. Employees need to be trained thoroughly. Management needs a better attitude. Everyone needs to learn how to do their job. I will not be visiting this location again.

I want to provide this review because I want more people aware of this possibly happening to them. So, I had a package that was a priority 2 day that was shipped on a Tuesday, and expected delivery day was Friday. I guess the package got delayed and is now coming Saturday. No big deal. However, the package had a signature confirmation. So I was home waiting for the mailman to come to the door. I decided to check the status of the shipment online. I noticed it now said that there was an attempt made because no recipient available. NO ONE EVER CAME TO MY DOOR. The mailman just put the slip in the mailbox that said no recipient available. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! This was a package I was expecting, and it was bad enough it was delayed. Now there is a lazy mailman that is not coming to the door for a signature, but instead just says not available and sticks the slip in the box. Im on hold right now with the customer service (been 35 minutes, no lie) to make a formal complaint. THIS IS INEXCUSABLE SERVICE.

Just moved to this zip code. I lived only 6 miles away for 15 years and the postal carriers were VERY different in 85251 than they are here in 85281. I purchase many items online and I have always preferred USPS as my shipping carrier. (Never will I use UPS again, though it is also just around the corner from me!!) When a package that is too large for my mailbox was delivered in my last zip code, the postal carrier would always leave a notice of delivery in my mailbox so that I would know to look for the package at my managers office, but NOT here! Even though I called this Apache Station post office about this problem before, they have failed to leave a notice in my box for the last 3 delivered packages and I did not know I had a package for several days, (while getting annoyed at the merchant about the late delivery) I dont want to have to spend time online constantly tracking packages. If the carriers could do this simple thing at my last address, they CAN and should do it here.

Awful, totally inept people. Theyve misdelivered packages of mine and blatantly refused to help me any further. The staff at this post office is openly hostile, demeaning, and just aggressively bad at their jobs. Theyve started yanking all my mail out of my mailbox because they stuff too much junk mail in it for any more to fit, but theres no notification that theyre holding your mail - you just have to figure out that theyre holding it at the post office before 10 days are up and they return it all to sender. This had never happened in the months leading up to this summer, but now all of a sudden Im waiting for mail and wondering where it is, only to find out that the mail service has sent it back without even delivering it to my box. These people need to be investigated, but good luck getting any decisive action out of the USPS over the phone. Im just paying for UPS mailbox and waiting for the USPS to finish its bankruptcy death spiral.
