This phone number just rings. No one answers EVER. Ive tried calling it for several years (Every time I have a problem with the Concord Post Office). Once again, I have no regular route carrier. Regular carriers dont last long here. Too much work, route is too long, too many dogs, too many stops, blah blah blah is what the fill in carriers say (In a residential area on flat land). So now I get junk mail almost everyday and my substantive mail once a week. In other words the carriers are only sorting the mail on this route once a week. Why? Because the route I live on is so large. The post office will not split the route in two. No carrier wants the route because its too big. So they split the route daily amongst other drivers once they finish their routes. THEN and only then, do I get my mail. Always late in the day. Except today. Today I got nothing but junk mail at 1pm. Just to be able to say, "You got your mail". The Concord Post Office is crap. It provides the most MINIMUM of service. Ive also been waiting for a monthly package that usually arrives the first week of each month. Last year I never got it twice. Now it appears I wont get it until a second or third replacement is mailed again. WTF? Is anyone running the show here? ADDENDUM: I again tried to contact the Concord Post office today (5-19-14). I called this number again & after ringing 30 plus times. Someone picked it up & then hung it up. I guess they got tired of it ringing. So, as I left Oakley, CA I called the number again. It rang for a solid 20 plus minutes. Finally, someone answered the phone as I was pulling onto Hwy 242 in Concord. I told them not to worry because I was 5 minutes from going in person to the Main Concord Post Office to complain. UNBELIEVABLE! Oh and I got someone elses mail AGAIN. So, as usual, I will be delivering it to the home it should have gone to since it is less than a mile from my home.

Terrible Terrible Terrible! I was in the process of moving my mother who suffers from Alzheimers into an assisted living facility. I spoke with the mailman asking how long it takes a change of address to take affect so that I could wait until her house sold to do so and that I would be collecting her mail. He was irritated that he had to remove his earbuds and grunted an "I dont know" at me. Two weeks later when the homes for sale sign went up the mail stopped being delivered. I went to the Post Office where they wouldnt tell me anything unless I brought my mom in. Hard to do since her Assisted Living facility was under quarantine due to Norvo Virus. I finally was able to bring her down on Monday, March 13th. We were told that the postman had deemed her home vacant, even though it is not a box but is a slot int the garage door that drops into a secure container inside. I was then told that I shouldnt drop off the Change of Address that I had filled out but instead should do it online. I was also told that the 94521 Supervisor would call me the next morning. THIS IS WHERE I GET VERY ANGRY I am unable to change the address online because her credit card address had been changed so I still have to go back to drop it off AND No phone call from the supervisor and THEY DONT ANSWER THEIR PHONE

Ever since moving here getting mail has been a nightmare. Ive tried multiple times to update my address with the DMV, but still never received the change of address. I had an Amazon package with 2-day delivery and tracking get sent over to the next zip code. It did find its way to me eventually which is something I guess, about 3 weeks later. We routinely get other peoples mail here no matter how many times we return it with notes that the person doesnt live here. In case that just sounds like someone forgot to set up mail forwarding; the mail is *frequently* addressed to another address entirely, sometimes even a different zip code. They never pick up outgoing mail from us either, though thats slightly manageable since were close to the post office itself and can send it that way. Im 31 years old, and in all my life I dont think Ive ever lived some place that screwed up our mail this consistently, I dont know whats going wrong at the Concord post office but something seems pretty screwed up.

It would be great to have a REGUlAR post person DELIVERING our mail instead of having different people who dont know the route or where thing go or what the needs of the individuals are. Not to mention that we never know what time were going to get our mail it come come from 10:00 -6:00pm or later. Now my biggest is since you DONT have a regular post person delivering mailing they ALL should be instructed when delivering a NEW ROUTE what they NEED to KNOW this will AVOID stress for both the homeowner and the mail delvery person. They need to Respect that the mailbox on the curb that sealed is sealed for a reason......and when a homeowner tell them that it was done by the post office they need to respect the homeowner. Check your record...its a ADA law...it was approved by the Post Master General..... Get your act together and start answering your telephone its ridiculous trying to get through your office this picking up and disconnecting is not funny to the customers.

They NEVER pick up the phone!! This has been happening for years. It just rings and rings or goes to a automated message that hangs up on you. I tried the other day again to get ahold of the on the phone, I tried 3-4 times a hour between 9a and 430p. In the end had to call the Walnut Creek Main St. USPS, talked to a rep and practically had to beg her to try and call Concord(she said she has never had any problems contacting them before). She finally got a supervisor on the phone after about 5 tries, and the said they fixed the problem, which I was also told before so who knows. At the end I asked "hey how were you able to get a live person on the phone in Concord? did you call the regular posted number?" "no" she said "I know someone over there and had to call him, b/c no one was answering the phone" LOL! I have made a case about this about still nothing. So basically if you need to contact Concord Main USPS on Merridian PRKWY. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED!!!!

To much wrong to list. Change of address forms...POINTLESS! They still dont forward your mail. Schedule a official hold, with verification number and the whole 9, in preperation for vacation or because something expensive you dont want stolen is on the way... WASTE OF TIME! They deliver the stuff anyway and if they do get ahold of your mail watch out. Took over a hour with 2 regular workers lying to me wasting my time then finally after getting completly fed up a supervisor comes out with all my packages that the other 2 told me they did not have. Slowest service Ive ever experienced. Mail constantly lost, stolen, or delivered weeks late. Mail carriers have no regard for actual mail and just stuff mail boxes full of junk mail to the point it damages actual mail. Worst mail service Ive ever experienced and it has cost me.
