UPDATE: 11/18/2013 -- After putting in a complaint about the service I received, the Folsom PO called me and told me that they have a policy which needs to be followed by the customer in order for the package to reach in the time mentioned. Well, I tried to look it up and there is no mention of the policy anywhere. Now, from a customer point-of-view, how is one supposed to know what the local office policies are unless they are mentioned anywhere? The Folsom PO office pinned it on me saying that I did not follow the policy and that the service is not a guarantee but their statistics say that they are 99% on the time frame they provide. In my case, both the packages I sent were one day late. If I need a guarantee, I need to pay more... as always. This review is not for the staff at this location, I have had no problems with them whatsoever. The problem is after the package has gone out... and recently the problem seems to be getting worse. 1. I am shipping some packages to NY on a regular basis and irrespective of the package size or the service requested (e.g.: leave the package at the door), the delivery personnel always leaves notices instead of the package and the package receiver has to go to the post office to collect it which frustrates the staff at the post office and also the receiver of the package. 2. I recently experienced that the Priority 2 day mail service actually takes 3 days... while the online postage calculator and generator gives a delivery date for 2 days. 3. There is no easy way to reach customer service... let me correct that. There is no way to reach customer service. There is always this automated system which never has the options that you would want to select. USPS... shame on you failing to provide service you charged for. you need to step up your game... or you are going to keep loosing more customers. Youve certainly lost me. Id rather use another service for a little more money than come back to you.

I have had federal documents, including my drivers license returned to the DMV. The postal carrier says that I do not live at the address standard mail and bills are sent to. A replication Social Security Card- lost. A second drivers license returned to the DMV with this post office stating I do not live here. How would I receive letters from the DMV to replace my license and bills if I do not live at my address. The carrier puts other folks mail in my box and mixes the letters into junk mail all the time. Critical snail mail is not to be filtered into junk and advertisements. I cant control the returns to the DMV nor Social Security offices- this is a waste of public funding and needs to be addressed immediately! Horrible service and the carrier cannot read numbers? Get the guy some reading glasses and get the mail to the correct address- I cant believe after 4 months my deivers licence has been returned to DMV and the carrier keeps stating I do not live at the address on my DL! What is the problem Folsom Post Office?

Normally I have a good experience when I use this office, however, there is one employee, Marylin, who just doesnt know how to help people. Or, doesnt "want" to. Today is the third time Ive gone up there and had to deal with her. She has a tendency to treat customers as if they should be usps subject matter experts instead of "bothering" her. She needs to start engaging in productive win/win situations with her customers to help them get their letters and packages sent. Its just not a good idea to send a customer home with the same envelope they came in to mail because it wasnt "just right". Everyone else in that office is helpful and will make sure you dont walk away unhappy. Why does she have to be the exception.

It just doesnt seem right that I get my neighbors mail just as often as I get my own. To top things off, I was expecting a package today, as the tracking information showed "delivery confirmed." Well, there is a package in the lockbox, but the key was placed in somebody elses box. Perhaps one day it will be delivered to me. Seriously, with all the talk about USPS going out of business, Im surprised theyve lasted this long with the horrendous delivery service they provide in Folsom. What happened to people taking pride in the work they do? When you call and complain, they just dont seem to care. Reminds me of DMV.

Very poor service. Year after year we have problems with getting our mail delivered correctly. We get other peoples mail and they get ours. Bills are found weeks later inside the pages of catalogs or magazines. We even get mail for people who live across town. Have made many complaints over the years and it only gets WORST! The last supervisors excuse was " well, mail carriers are only human." No one at this office appears to take the US Mail seriously.

I love that the mailman decided to just drop my package on the ground without a care. Not like I get multiple fragile packages delivered a week for my work or anything. When I confronted him about it he just got an attitude with me. Now I have damaged property that some old dude who should have retired long ago decided to handle carelessly. Thank you usps. You just lost my business. No wonder the US postal system is so trash.

My mailman in Folsom is the nicest Ive ever had! I rarely have to go into the Post Office itself, but whenever I do the employees are quick and very friendly! Since Im not used to sending things there, I seem to mess things up whenever I do (For example, filling out the wrong form for package tracking and delivery confirmation) but theyre always nice about helping me figure out how to get it right.

While the staff here are nice and all that, I am just appalled with the actual delivery service. One of my experiences was mailing a small 3x5 bubble mailer with a plastic model kit arm inside it. The staff said it would take around 2-4 days to get to Hawaii. This was was 6/14. It got there today 6/27, and my friend, the receiver said the packaged was ripped open with the arm missing. WTF?!?!

Terrible service. Ive always been treated as a burden rather than a paying customer. Every one of my experiences have been met with attitude and zero regards for my concerns. Not to mention everytime i recieve a package using usps, it is weeks late, doesnt arrive, or I end up having to jump through hoops to recieve. Unacceptable and by far our worst run government agency.

My mail is often mixed with other mail and the delivery people are very poor. As far as I am concerned, many of these people do not serve the public. When you call the main branch number in Folsom, the line is busy most of the time. When you do get someone, they are rude and do nothing to resolve the problems. It is all lip service without the service.

Horrible service!!!! Do the home work before you use their service. Some of their clerks do not know their work. They screwed my mailing of the important document to the other country and caused LOTS of trouble to me. Dont count on them. If you are mailing something important, use UPS or Fedex. Those people know what they are doing.
