I have had my car serviced at this location multiple times for oil changes. I called on Aug 11th at 10:30 am to schedule an appointment for my brakes to be done on Tuesday Aug 15. I was quoted 240 for brake pads and an alignment. I arrived 30 minutes early to my appointment to discuss pricing again. My profile could not be found so the employee made a new account. There were no other customers so I didnt expect to be there very long. I asked to add an oil change and I agreed to the new price. I was told the oil changed and brake inspection would be done first and take only 30 minutes. 30 minutes went by and he came back with a list of what needed to be done and how much. I was hesitant by the price because my brakes had only started making noise a few weeks ago. I agreed to the price without the back brakes being done, signed the papers, and was told it would be another 30 to 40 minutes. There still wasnt another customer so I figured I could deal with the price for such quick and efficient service. An hour goes by, another employee comes in and was quietly talking to the employee at the front desk. A couple phone calls were made and he finally apologized for the extra 30 minutes of delay. The shop didnt have the parts and they were waiting for them to be delivered. I was a little disappointed because I had called the week prior, discussed in detail the price and my type of car. A basic 2009 honda civic. How could the shop not have parts for a car they knew was coming in for specifically a brake replacement? 2 hours went by, no one came up and gave me an update or apology. If I wouldve known the amount of time it was going to take, I wouldve left and ran errands that I needed to do on my only day off that week. My mom, whos car it is and I use for school and work, calls me to ask for an update and I tell her I havent been updated for 2 hours. My mom had to call and ask when the car would be done. All of a sudden my car was ready. I wasnt offered an apology, reduced price, or even coupons. I paid and left. The next day, I was driving to work and my steering wheel began to shake extremely hard when I hit 60 mph. I slowed down and noticed it pulled to the right as soon as I let go. I had to drive in the slow lane and was late to work. I paid 90 dollars for an alignment which obviously didnt get down, which means the tire rotation and balance wasnt done either, I can only assume. My whole experience was completely disappointing and I will not be returning to that location. I had to take my car to another chain repair shop to have the alignment redone and my tires correctly rotated and balanced. I ended up spending 3 times as much as I was quoted and possibly damaging parts of my car because of the low quality work done on my car.

I phoned in to get an estimate for a wheel alignment and oil change. The price I was quoted was $10 less than when I went in later the same day. When I told the young man writing up the work order, his manager (?) stepped in and challenged me. Asked who had told me that; they dont ever give that price; a bit of attitude actually. Fine, I needed the job done BUT if anyone quotes a price be sure to get their name; dont assume theyll honor it. Stayed while they worked on the car; drove it home. Had to take the car back (30 miles each way) as the mechanic hadnt reset the idiot light on the dashboard. About a month later, it seemed like the car (2009 Prius) was losing a small amount of power. Mentioned this to husband & son-in-law. A couple of days ago the dreaded check engine light came on. Checked online & the manual & was depresses as most of the options were going to be expensive. Discussed w/husband & SIL. Got a recommendation for Lallos in Valley Springs, phoned them and took the car by. Turned out that when the mechanic at Midas changed the oil he hadnt put the filter in properly & didnt close the filter cover--it wasnt latched in place with any of the 3 latches. (This was identified as I watched the mechanic do the repair.) He opened up the part under the filter, cleaned something out with a solvent, put the filter in properly, LATCHED the cover, and confirmed the warning light was off. Yes, I could have driven the car into Lodi and asked Midas to check it -- but I didnt have a lot of faith in them. Are they crooks-- NO. Are they sloppy about their work? Based on my personal experience, YES. Would I go back? Probably not.

Quick, honest, not too expensive, friendly. I loved how these guys worked with me. I needed a LOT of preventative (and past due) maintenance on my 10 year old car, and wanted to get it done as cheaply as possible. I know enough about my own car to be able to tell whether a repair shop knows their stuff, but I usually play dumber than I am to see if theyre being straight with me. The girl at the counter talked me through my options every step of the way, and told me their cost on the parts, the markup, and cost of labor on each element of the job, as well as telling me which ones I could safely skip if I needed to save the money. The whole place just radiated honesty, which is very unlike most auto places Ive dealt with. Ill be bringing in my wifes car, and think Ive found my new repair shop.

I would definitely avoid. I went there to get four brake pads changed, two rotors changed and they smoothed out two of the front rotors. I stayed there the whole time. The power went out for about an hour and they did not do much with my car then. However, at the end they charged me for it and it took them 3.5 hours to complete! I have previously gotten all of my brake pads changed in 45 minutes-granted with two people working on them, but there is no way it should have taken that long! And they tried to say part of it was because they had to order a part...just because they have to wait to get a part doesnt mean I should get charged for it while they arent working on my car! Never going to a Midas again.

Sneaky snakes here . The guy name was Jose they changed my oil and supposedly put the highest quality in my car. I come to pick my car up and I am told I have a leak yet they dont know where... How can you be a mechanic and say I have a lick and dont know where its at Jose said I need my shocks replaced in the front they said it would be a 1200 dollar job I went to another mechanic to look at my car in my shocks were perfectly fine they didnt need to be changed so they lied about it Ive then told him about the leak they said I had in the other mechanic told me I had no leak theyre just trying to get money off of you if you dont know about your cars do not trust these people!
