beyond all the obvious, understaffed long lines etc.... They do not even keep posted hours. I went today to pick up a package and yet again they closed before the posted 5 oclock. This has happened several times before but this time I was actually at the door at 4:55 and the clerk closed and locked locked the door in my face while I showed him my phone displaying 4:55. He pointed to the counter which had already been shuttered (as if having decided to begin closing 10-15 minutes before 5 justified the fact that he would not let me in at 4:55). Another two customers appeared and asked why the office closed early. The clerk disappeared and we confirmed the time on three different devices before he reappeared several minutes later waving a large analogue wall clock displaying time 5:03 at us. This is a perfect example of how absurd the situation is. 1. is a 25 year old cheap analog clock regularly yanked off the wall more reliable than three synchronized cell phones whose time is linked to the continental atomic clock? 2. Even based on this clock he had in fact closed early. Considering the time it took to lock the door in my face, tell me they were closed, listen to me begging to be let in to collect a package Id walked a mile and a half to come get, smirk at the time on my phone (4:56 at this point) which I showed him through the glass door, roll his eyes and then disappear into the back of the office pull the old clock off the wall only to have that clock read 5:03 the door. At which time it was 4:58 by my clock. As I said this has happened before but usually I have arrived with what seems like several minutes to spare and the office is just closed. do the posted hours reflect estimated closing time? when they would like to be out of there by? or when you can reasonably expect to get service? annoyed.

Worst service Ive ever experienced in a post office & im from chicago. The mail system in chicago is horrible & this is worse. Rude employees, horrible service and after waiting 15 minutes to mail packages the employee claimed no more packages being accepted. No wonder the USPS is losing business and closing offices with this kind of service, i would hope the whole system shuts down. Ill just use DHL or FedEx from now on and blog that my friends do the same.

Ive been living in this area (90031) for the past four months and already there has been 5 incidents of mail and packages being delivered to the wrong address. Its the same ole story when you call their office up " we are short handed" I think its time to use a different carrier service. Did you know they will not walk up to your door if you have a package, they just leave a notice for you to pick up at their office.

Came here to change my address and some Rude Asian lady told me it was impossible to do it rightaway, put my paper aside. Then the nice gentleman by the name of Jorge took care of it rightaway. He totally saved the day. This Asian lady was rude and told me it would take 2-3wks for it to take effect, told me to call the mailman . Jorge was SUPER NICE!
