I tried reviewing for both yelp & google same day but got busy... anyways heres my review.... When I came looking for storage , I saw this place close to alameda bridge and I thought this place was very nice and huge. On the tour of the property with one of the friendly associates , I was informed of the security standards they have , accommodating hours (6am - 10pm access hours) , available push carts & a kiosk to make payments anytime ! The service & facility won me over and I came to rent the next week . The process was fast , easy and all rules & regulations were very informative . I plan on staying here a long time ; its a great place to store my personal belongings ! Thumbs up :)

My experiences have been nothing but positive while dealing with Maribel and Anna. Whether over the phone or at the facility, they are professional, courteous and on point with their service delivery. Where one leaves off (out of the office), the other picks up, without skipping a beat; from initial (no charge) on hold/reservation to finalization/contract signing, everything went smoothly. Their facilities are clean, secure and each unit is alarmed. This facility, which has entrance and exit gates at opposite sides of the property can accommodate large moving trucks. This is an important question to ask as not all storage facilities can handle oversize trucks.

I have been a customer at this storage facility for years unfortunately, and I recently had a terrible experience with them. They increased my rent on a unit that was $362, for a 20 x 10 ( not cheap to begin with ! ) to $385. without writing me and giving me any notification of this, and even when I paid over the phone with the head Manager she did not bother to mention to me that my rent was increased by $23. /month. REALLY NOT COOL and they have made plenty of money off me and I have only been late with a payment maybe twice in 5 yrs.

Not the cheapest of all storage facilities but they will try to work with you as best they can. It is indoor and very clean. Moving back to the Bay Area from the east coast my fiancé and I needed to find a place quick for our things since he will be deploying soon. The girls here for us in and showed us some options before we rented out anything and made sure we got everything we needed before we left. I appreciate the customer service that is provided here 100%!!!

I have several storage units with this company the facility is always clean and most of all safe, Ive had these units for over 2 years now and the experience has been grate the staff are very friendly and professional before using A- 1 I was at another storage place and most of my stuff was damaged due to rodents so Im very happy A-1 is the place if your looking for storage.

Great customer service, quick knowledgeable staff and very helpful. They helped me out with available discounts and set me up with 2 perfect units. Would recommend them highly over Extra Space who are bandits! they send you a letter 3 days after you move in saying they are raising your rent next month! Great location, access and very clean facility. Keep up the good work.

This has been my third time renting from this facility and Ive always received exceptional service. The facility is so convenient for me since I just live across the water, its always clean, its affordable (I researched other facilities in the area) and sits beautifully next to the water which makes the experience even better. I would highly recommend this place.

This is my second time using A-1 Self Storage on High Street in Oakland, CA. I have always gotten the best customer service. Everyone there is friendly, helpful, and greets me with a smile. They always take care of my needs. All the storage units are super clean! I will always store my belongings here. I highly recommend them for all your storage needs.

i came in on a sunday afternoon after driving from Los Angeles to Oakland, and the front desk girl was really helpful. She showed us where the unit was and helped me grab some of the moving dollies. She even showed me where the closest Uhaul was. It was really nice to get that type of service after a very long day of driving.

i love my storage unit. its always clean, no bugs ever in my unit. they always have music playing to make moving your stuff around easier and more pleasant. i have had several of my friends use them too and they too are very pleased. if you need to reduce your unit size, its a very easy process. cant recommend more highly!

Anna and Marisol were the best!!! Excellent advice re: size of storage container I needed, assistance in recommending a mover when the movers I had contracted with failed to show! All of the staff were extremely helpful and concerned that our storage needs were met. The feel of the A-1 is like that of a small home town operation even though theres a large number of units. The office is spotless and so was our storage unit. I would highly recommend them.

A-1 Storage in Oakland (near Alameda) is nice and clean and safe. Over the last two years Ive rented four different rooms there. The staff is always pleasant. It costs a bit more than some of the run down dumpy storage places, but the extra $$ is worth it for me.

This is my first time renting a storage unit from A1. The staff (Maribella) was super nice, professional, and helpful. The unit that we rented was very clean and facility is about 9 miles to Berkeley Campus. The price was also very reasonable.
