I have used a couple of different companies in the past for my storage needs and most of them were just okay. They were not cleaned and there was absolutely almost no customer service. I realized that I have to find another storage company here in San Mateo that would be better. I found public storage here in San Mateo 2222 South Delaware and decided to give them a call and find out some pricing information and the size of the units. I spoke with a person by the name of Stephanie. I explained to her what I was looking for and what my concerns were. She patiently listened to what I was saying and answered all of my questions perfectly. During our conversation I was immediately sold by her professionalism. I decided right then and there that I would like to see the units the following day. The next day I went there I was greeted by Stephanie who immediately showed me around and once again answered all my questions. At this day and age customer service is a rare find. However this place is extremely clean and Stephanie is a true professional. It would be hard for me to decide if I would get better customer service at Nordstrom or public storage? Because as far as Im concerned Ill be a customer there for life!! Even when I started moving in Stephanie and another employee named Angel always asked me if I needed any help. I would always recommend this particular public storage in San Mateo because they do everything they can to make it an easy transition. Please dont bother wasting your time looking at other faculties for your storage needs. Because honestly they dont exist!! You are not going to find anyone as professional and caring Stephanie. Public storage in San Mateo is the way to go.

The rating is for Pernell. He is the best thing about this experience. My electronics were stolen out of my unit. I was moving some of my things out of my unit, only to find them gone. Pernell actually kept checking on me once I found some things missing. He called the police for me, who by the way never bothered to show up. You feel very violated when your things are gone, especially when all you own is in the four walls of a storage unit. Pernell was truly sympathetic. I explained that it may not mean much to anyone else but me, but he was very concerned about my feelings. I waited for the police for hours and an absolute no show. Amazing!!! I went in the next day to thank Pernell who was not there. I explained what happened to the people in the office. One man seemed sympathetic, the other man however stated hey I have things stored here and never had a problem. He stated that when I didnt pay my bill in June he along with another woman that worked there were the ones that cut the lock. He stated no one went into the unit. And just so anyone that reads this knows, I did not pay the bill in June, but the bill was paid by July 9th for both June and July. And at that time I asked the woman why the lock had been cut. She stated oh we go in and see what we are putting up for auction. He then went on to say no thats not what she said, as if he was there. He then said no she just said it the wrong way. He then asked if I got the papers to file a claim. I am so put off at this point. This experience has just gone really bad at this point, but I want to make sure that the one person that was nice got kudos for helping.

I had made a few phone calls to various storage facilities in the San Mateo area trying to find one with a fair price, good customer service and a place that would be clean, safe and accessible. After merely speaking to Stephanie at the Public Storage facility in San Mateo, at 2222 S. Delaware St., I realized if their facility was just half as good As Stephanies willingness to answer a bunch of my questions then this would be the place to stash my stuff. Not only was I impressed by Stephanies helpfulness, friendly manner and efficient professionalism, but the inside, covered, Public Storage facility at 2222 S. Delaware Street in San Mateo, was clean, safe, and well-lit. Lots of little amenities made this a place that is user friendly. For example, I found the flat-bed carts to be very convenient to haul stuff from vehicle to storage locker. Anyone needing a storage facility that is clean, safe, well-lit, indoors, and affordable with helpful, friendly and professional staff should go see Stephanie at Public Storage at 2222 S. Delaware Street in San Mateo, Ca.

I was moving to the area but was going to be out of town for the last two weeks of my lease and do was looking for a storage option to house my stuff between moves. After considering a bunch of different options, I decided to go with this Public Storage location because of the price and location. After setting up an appointment online, I met with Patricia at the premises, and she took time to ask me what kind of move I was going for to ensure that the unit I had booked would be appropriate. She also walked me through the entire move in and payment process, which was a plus since my past experiences with storage companies have often been less than transparent on those areas. A few weeks later, I spoke with Stephanie on the phone, and later in person, about the move out procedure. Setting up the move out date was painless and Stephanie made sure to check in with me leading up to the move out date in case there were any issues with my experience with Public Storage. All in all, a very good experience for what could have been a very painful process.

I recently rented a storage unit this week and within 2 minutes of my call with the calll center rep Stephanie called me to introduce herself. This was all during a major move this week which has not gone that well and this was the best day I have had in a week during my move. Stephanie the property manager truly made my day! She took the time to ensure that I had the proper unit after our discussion we viewed 3 units. I found the perfect one for all of my belongings. Stephanie takes her job seriously and that is exactly what I needed that day a true professional who understood my needs. She called me the next day to check in to see if I had everything I needed. She has the best customer service and truly cares about your needs. I would refer any of my friends or family to this facilty based on my experience. With an ill Parent I found myself needing to clean up and store her belongings so that we can make room for a Home caregiver. I called this Public Storage location after reading the online reviews (I can see why this location has been rated so high) and explained my needs to Stephanie, She gave me the basic information I needed and we reserved a space on the phone. Later that afternoon I came into the store and was greeted by Steph and Vicky. They both gave me a tour of my unit and we then went back to the office to fill out the rental documents. The facility is clean and the access to my unit is very convenient. Stephanie and Vicky are very friendly and I highly recommend this location.
