Ive been doing business with Allen Avenue Self Storage for about 2 years now and so far, I have been happy with their services. They provide 3 different services at this location and I have tried all 3 --- they have their storage services (duh), but they are also a U-Haul rental and drop off location and they also have private mailboxes here. Storage Services: Good location and secure facility. When you rent a room, you get your own custom gate code you choose yourself. Call around for prices and they can usually meet the prices with other competitors. I love that they have probably the best hours in the area (7a-7p EVERY day, whereas most locations have shorter hours on the weekends). I have even referred my mother-in-law here, who still rents from them. U-Haul: Their U-Haul sign is not big so it might be hard to see if thats what youre looking for. Just remember: big, red, brick building! Service here is WAAAY better than the U-Haul on Raymond location. When renting a U-Haul here, you are getting Triple A (AAA) service, while at the Raymond location, you get DMV service :-( No long waits and good selection of cars to choose from. Just make sure that when you are returning something you didnt specifically rent from this location, call in advance because they may not have space and cant take it back. Thats happened to me before. Private Mailboxes: Been using their PMB services here for a while now and I am happy with it. Prices are good and if you pay in advance (6 months or 1 year), you get like 1-2 months free. If you get big packages from UPS or FedEx, the staff even calls you and lets you know you have a package :-) Staff: Theyre great! Friendly and helpful. Must give a shout out to the peeps that gives me extra good service -- Jacey and Marie are super nice! The others are new so I dont know much about them.

I was making a local move from Montrose to Pasadena and needed a U-Haul to transport some larger furniture items. My friend warned me against using the designated U-Haul location in Pasadena. He and another friend had bad experience with the customer service there. Renting a truck from Allen Ave Self Storage was so easy! Both checking it out and returning. There was no pressure to get the insurance coverage. The truck we got had a bunch of scratches and dings on the outside and inside, so I was worried about covering our base, but Ronnie (the manager) was just, yeah, dont worry about it, its an old truck. Both Ronnie and the other counter guy were pleasant to interact with. Both checking it out and returning, there was no line, even though it was a Saturday morning, when it would be most busy. If I need to rent a U-Haul again, Im definitely going here. I cant make a comment about their self storage services though. By the way, if you dont need furniture pads or the dolly, make sure to tell them that in advance to see if it can be removed. It takes up precious space in the truck, which made it difficult to maneuver some items around it.

Ive been with Allen Avenue Self Storage since 2010 and their entire staff have been great. Any problems that Ive encountered they have worked them out. I have to say that I am pleased with their services and their units are clean. The space stays cool and this is especially important to our hot summers. I also appreciate that they give you personal attention and do not treat you as a storage unit number. Bill pay is very convenient; walk-in, call-in (after youve set up) and online. Im not sure how long Ill need this storage unit, but as long as I need it I am happy with Allen Avenue Storage! And you know the saying, "If it isnt broken, then why fix it!"

I received awesome customer service from this facility; the staff is superb. Joey and Alex were helpful but Jacey was the best... He handled renting me a uhaul and also guiding me in moving my things. I appreciate how comfortable he made the whole transaction and the ease of mind he gave me, as moving is a headache to begin with...lol. I have used this facility for several years now, and I enjoy attending their yearly customer appreciation day, I havent missed one yet..... If anyone is looking for a great storage and/or uhaul rental place that is very knowledgeable and simple... you have to use Allen Avenue....they are spectacular....

I had my stuff stored at Allen Ave. Self Storage for a year and a half. Never had any problems with them and they always seemed friendly. All this changed when we moved our stuff out. We discovered a bunch of our stuff had been ruined due to a leak in the ceiling. Though Allen Ave. would admit to the leak, they would not actually cover the full cost of fixing/repairing my furniture because I didnt have the original receipts. It was a very disapointing end to an otherwise good transaction. Unfortunately, I had to spend thousands replacing my damaged and destroyed furnishings and Allen Ave. gave me a whopping $500.

When i started, everything seemed great. Desk folks were great, and the stuff was secure. Over the year though, I noticed that my bill kept creeping up to where the unit I originally rented for $242 now costs $334. Not a bad markup for 12 months, and definitely not what I expected. Oh, they did tell me they sent me a letter informing me of an increase, but it is still tacky IMO. Lesson learned. Beware the bait and switch.

This is a great facility. The facility is always kept clean and walkable no matter the time of day. The staff members are very personable. I have received the utmost customer service from all team members. I enjoy the flexible hours and the location is in the heart of the city. The company offers a discount to tenants who refer friends. Needless to say, I have told all my family, friends and loved ones about this facility.

We have been renting a small storage place here for about 6 months now and we are very happy so far. The facility is very clean and maintained very well. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. It is very nice that you get your own passcode and can enter adn use the facility at your own convenience. Being able to pay directly throught the website is also a big plus.

Employees Ive spoken with are rude. Theyll either make you wait or transfer you to another person wholl present a similar attitude. After a year, they still demand an insurance. Just extra cash for their pocket. Also, I was told that you could have 1 year lease. Then they made it into a month by month police. Again, change in policy.

Allen Ave Storage made the proper assessment of my storage needs, and truly solved my storage problem, now I dont have to continue traveling back and forward to the city I used to live in, my important storage items are now near me in a safe and clean enviornment. Very clean place. Very friendly staff and great customer service. Easy access to your storage. This place has a great secure facility, so I feel safe having my storage here. They give you your own security code to enter to your personal storage facility.
