Fair, hard working and honestly .... HONEST! I can’t believe that I found such a great realtor. I have been a home owner, landlord, renter and my brother was in real estate. I feel real estate agents just don’t want to work for the thousands they are getting in commission. That is until I met Steve and Bridget at Westgate. SHORT STORY: I had a bad, lazy, greedy, uninterested agent. Frustrated, I went into town looking for recommendation was told to see Steve at Westgate. I’m in the middle of escrow & inspections now with Steve who is terrific, honest and working hard for my business. LONG STORY: Here’s what I am judging them by. 1. CUSTOMER SERVICE ==> Am I a customer or a commodity? Do they want to treat me fairly or treat me like a quick commission? I walked in to Westgate without an appointment and the difference was night and day! FYI: I was going in to a very expensive area with moderate cash flow. We met Bridget and apologized that we were didn’t have a lot of money to buy a home. Bridget enthusiastically told us that although we may not get a million dollar home that they would do their very best to get us in to the very best home. They attended to me immediately and enthusiasticaly. We’ve spent hours with them honing a fair and honest deal. They care about their clients and it shows in all that they do. 2. AREA SPECIFIC ==> Do they understand the area? I hate agents that say they know all areas. We met Steve, the boss whos been selling here all his career but he’s the nicest guy. They all work as a team here. I was ushered in to a board room and offered coffee while they quickly pulled up some comps within minutes. Meanwhile, I was informed about the town, the people, the things to do and history. We could feel passion for the city from them both. The comps were up on the big screen, the properties shown and we were also told of all the open homes in the area and surrounding areas. 3. INFORMATION ==> Are they coming prepared? Do they understand the area, market values, comps etc.? We were given a package pronto, comps etc. and assured that we would find a wonderful home without being “house poor”. We asked and were given a sheet for open homes for the next day - Sunday. We went to see some homes and fell in love with “the one” from the info pack they gave us. I texted them, they texted right back and we made an appt. for the next day and they were prepared …. again! It was obvious he knew growth, good areas, potential traffic/construction areas. All questions were answered specifically & with authority. Steve was calm and was patient about all of our questions, and I had a lot of them. 4. MOTIVATIONS ==> Do they live in the area? Do they love where they live and want to add good neighbors that add value to their home values? Steve and Bridget live here and their passion for this area shone when they described this area as a “gem”. Steve has 25 years of experience, comes from a long line of realtors, and is 4 generation here. He knows the good, bad and ugly since he’s been here his whole life. I’m tired of young realtors with obviously zero experience. Westgate are invested in this area because this area is their HOME. SUMMARY: For the first time, we were excited that we had: - the right city - the right realtor - the right expectations within our budget We are almost finished closing now. Everyone they have recommended has been local, honest and fair. It’s obvious they know the best people here because they live and do business here. I’m a big believer in rewarding good people with good reviews. We are quick to jump on someone when we have a bad experience. Do we put the same diligence when it comes to good customer service? Gratefulness in this business is rare indeed. Westgate felt grateful for my business and I felt very grateful that they are our realtors, our representatives and soon to be neighbors!

Carolyn Gavriloff has described herself as a matchmaker for people and their homes, and I can attest, she is a very talented matchmaker. My husband and I recently found ourselves in an increasingly common situation; the house we were renting in San Francisco sold to a new owner, who wants to raze and redevelop the property. When we started looking at rental properties in the City, we quickly realized that our rent would increase 100% for far less space than we had been enjoying. In addition, that space was likely to be either very old and not adequately maintained, or purely utilitarian and uninspired. Were both artists, and the thought of paying handsomely for a utilitarian space too small for us, just to stay in San Francisco, felt like the exact opposite of a fertile ground for creativity. Appalled at the meager offerings, we moved our search North, and discovered a listing in Novato which left us both in wide-eyed wonderment that such a unique place existed and was available. I called, and was fortunate to reach Carolyn, who offered to take time on her day off to show me the property. From that point on, it was evident to me that Carolyn not only knew the details of her listing to a letter, but she also struck me as immediately friendly and warm, and seemed genuinely interested in finding just the right occupants for the house in question. As we got to know each other a little, I felt that she had a vision for the family who would occupy this property, and the life they could enjoy in it. When she called me to offer me the opportunity to be that family, I was overjoyed. From the moment I saw the photos in the listing, I was able to see myself and my husband in that house, but that is such a personal vision, I was frankly very (pleasantly) surprised that anyone else was able to see it, as well. Carolyn was able to see it, and had the vision and power to make it happen. That kind of imagination and intuition is rare in anyone, but Carolyn Gavriloff possesses it. She also balances that with good sense, and the best interest of the landlord for whom she is handling the property. She knew we would be good custodians of this property, and would afford it the appreciation it deserves. We have now been the happy occupants of an iconic house for one month, and the experience keeps getting better. The opportunity to wake up here every day is the realization of a dream; it is a wholly inspirational space which feels positive and expectant of creative pursuits. We continue to discover special little hidden amenities, and "treasures". I look forward to many more discoveries, and many years of a happy partnership with our house-match. Thank you, Carolyn, and Westgate Real Estate, for having the vision to bring us home.

I knew that managing a property would not be easy, so I felt it best to have the assistance of a property management company. I sought out the advice of friends and upon my search I came across a management company with a strong work ethic that surpassed all the rest. I am grateful to be in the hands of Westgate Real Estate and Property Management supported by property manager, Mrs. Carolyn Gavriloff. Some friends suggested I manage my mom’s property, I recommend differently. The rights of a tenant must be honored and the time of an owner must be guarded. This, I believe, is best served with a highly regarded property manager. Westgate Real Estate and Property Management is more than a property management company. It is a practical, yet established business that has a service provider who meets the rights of all parties. When I first looked to rent my mother’s home, I set out to find a responsible, respected, and reputable property manager, but I found more. I found Carolyn Gavriloff who has gone beyond the norm; she has added her touch of care that makes Westgate a shining beacon. I believe all should be treated with respect and dignity. I believe, this is exactly what both my tenant and I receive in the thoughtful hands of Mrs. Gavriloff. Carolyn is more than a manager who is full of technical and legal knowledge, but one who is full of wisdom as she works to benefit both the tenant and owner. Several times the rental had issues that were brought to Carolyn’s attention by the tenant. As an intermediary, she presented the situation in a calm, matter of fact manner to me. She explained the possible solutions and patiently guided me through the consequence of each. My recommendation of Westgate Real Estate and Property Management and Mrs. Carolyn Gavriloff for both owner and tenant is a resounding “Yes”. Joe
