I would give it a negative star if i could. I walked to the P.O with my stroller and my 2 babies. The only ramp i could find to go up with my stroller was in the back of the post office (the loading dock). There was a sign that said ring bell for handicap assistance. I rang the bell. The P.O employee (K. Kims). Came out and was upset at me for ringing the bell. She said im not handycap and she cant help me. I asked her how was i supose to take my stroller up the stairs in the front. She said idk! She than took my package and said she would go ahead and help me. Than brought my package back out and said. No, i can NOT help you because you have to sign for payment. I asked her what she would of done if i was handicapped? She said i would go ahead and process your shipment but you just have a stroller. She gave me my package back and told me to go to another post office. She was complaining that she cant abandone the front to come to the back and help me. Not only was she rude and literally almost processed my flat rate priority box shipment but she just disregarded me having 2 babies in a stroller and unable to go up the front stairs. She just keapt telling me to go find another post office. I have never felt so hurt. Im sorry i am a mother that takes her babies in a stroller to run errons. Im sure im not the only person who has had issues with this post office and strollers in this city. This has to change! Horrible!!!

Terrible god awful insulting service from this Hispanic person Jun. I arrived 10 min BEFORE closing, made a little mistake on my shipping label. Man I got poured at, humiliated with insults, intimidations, and accusations for mumbling, staring at him, and throwing the label at his co-worker (who was a scared small asian lady, and what kind of low life would i be to be mean to her??) He took off his shirt showing his meat-tumored body asking if i got a problem. I dont. So i just shut up and refilled the forms and did what i came for, taking away TERRIBLE GOD AWFUL INSULTING attitude as a bonus.

This USPS location in San Mateo is busy but consistently has 2-3 service windows open. Parking is a challenge. This post office is a historical landmark. The building is Art Deco with hints of California Spanish style architecture. The lobby has a beautiful mural above service windows.

In Europe people pay 3 to 5 times what we pay in postage. We dont want to pay taxes, but we whine like children when the government doesnt give use what we want.. These post office workers bust there asses. Id like to see one of the complainers last a week working at the post office.

I like this Post Office, its a nice old historic building with great historic murals. Best of all, the staff are good at their job; friendly, helpful and keep the (usually short) line moving quickly.

Called them for 10 times about half an hour before closing time to inquire about a missing delivery, and they kept picking up the phone for a couple seconds and hanging up on me.
